Bees, Combees in particular; Kouji hated doing stuff like this but then again, it was important to watch the town in which one lived. That wasn’t fully the case for Sootopolis, but he stayed here long enough for it to count. ”Ahh…So boring.” He said as he looked around, finding the source of the disturbance came first.

sir? being called such brought a smile on his face.

"heh, you seem to be thinkin' i ain't ready for everythin'," he smugly expresses himself. "they don't call me priam fuckin' conrad for nothin'!"

the sudden boost of ego adds fuel to the overconfidence being spurred on him by his persona. any doubt or fear was pushed back to the recesses of his mind, keeping himself drunk on the feeling of finally hearing himself be called 'sir'.

"come on, kouji! show me where these bees were last seen! we'll take 'em on!"

priam may have taken the promotion, but his responsibilities remain the same.

he may have been a late addition, but the contribution he had from before already was beyond his job description anyways. the past and present blur, and priam remains himself in a position where he still has to deal with bees like a grunt.

Priam was one of the first people he had worked alongside in Rocket, the one that had introduced him to underboss Beckett, in their rather tempestuous run through the Mechanical Kindom.

”You’re pretty smart, but I’ve never seen ya fight y’know? You’re a beast and everything, so you’ve gotta be strong.” Kouji said offhandedly, still the level of confidence that Priam was showing was enough to alleviate any worries…Like he had any, Kouji was just talking up the danger of these bees.

He really just wanted someone who was capable of shooting the shit with him.

”Just behind that boulder, on the rock face. They’re pretty darn wild.” The buzzing was coming through, yet the Combees were moving around as the hive demanded, collecting various nectars.

compliment over compliment, priam gets high off of kouji's words.

"you ain't seen nothin' yet!"

he takes out a pokeball and releases a shroomish, who he lifts with a single hand. he tosses it lightly, shuffling the pokemon a bit so it sits on his palm rather than being carried from the top of its head.

"they call this trick the ol' reliable."

priam tosses the shroomish to the swarm, which releases a cloud of spores upon impact. the ones in the vicinity fell into slumber while those that weren't that close have turned sluggish, giving the shroomish time to run back to its trainer.

"those usually stop the aggression, i think." he turns to kouji. "your turn now!"

Kouji looked at the thrown Shroomish bomb with an appreciative whistle as the bees began to fall down onto the ground. ”Hurricane boy, let’s make them dizzy and sleepy.”

The dragon type began to flap its wings creating a Hurricane that whipped them up into the air to spin around again and again. He waited until Kouji felt like they could be sufficiently tired out.

”Couldn’t have done it without you sir, you’re the best.” He said as he gave a big thumbs up. Still, there was something of worth there, he looked at the nest up at the rockface.

”Let’s grab the Vespiquen, we can use her to control the rest. Glory for Rocket or whatever.” He said as his Salamence lowered itself as Kouji stepped onto the wing, and turned to look at Priam, waiting for the man to get up.
