Exhaustion began to creep in on her mind and she becomes more aggravated by the moment. PENELOPE LIVY, FERNANDO SILPH, hell she didn't even bother trying to ask freya morningstar for assistance as she knew it'd be another dead end.[break][break]

Disgusting, she never thought she'd agree with her monster of a mother Madeleine Miro but she did for once. A text message had been sent to annalise henderson asking for the woman to meet her here. She was sure they wouldn't be followed, their phones held no signal so no one could be hacking her phone plus Melody held a natural advantage here with her book. [break][break]

annalise has never been to mechanical kingdom, but she's been through enough rifts to dull her apprehension about them. her only concern is how she's going to find melody once she's passed through into unfamiliar territory but, hopefully, she'll stay nearby the rift for an easier meetup. [break][break]she steps through the rift, immediately awed by the industrialized world that unfurls in front of her. compared to the desolation ultra plant and ultra desert, this world almost feels like a real civilization — though she doesn't think she wants to run into anyone who lives here. [break][break]her eyes lower, sweeping the surrounding area. a shock of pink sparks recognition in her expression. the tension in her posture eases as she approaches the idol. [break][break]"hi," she greets, the sync stone of her sygna suit glowing in steady rhythm with her breathing. her attention drifts, seeing everything here for the first time. "this is my first time here — this place is incredible."

She turns around, her signature pink ponytail swishes behind her as her sync stone thrums at the same rhythmn as Annalise. [break][break]

"Hey! Thank you for coming, I know it's a weird spot for a meet up." She says as Annalise would be able to spot countless gears moving in harmony around one another, steam erupting from pipes in the walls as a pressure release. It was as if the city was alive yet not a single sign of organic life remained. At least not near the entrance, and in the distance if annalise looked closer she could see signs of decay, cancer growing in the form of rust and wear and tear. Broken machinery. [break][break]

A castle looms in the distance and Melody looks towards it. "It is isn't it? A place like this used to be my dream as a kid, a world run by music. Music that controls the world here." [break][break]

She decides to give annalise an example of what music here could do, melody looks at a nearby magearna that had fallen in to dissaray. "Watch this." she says as Melody clears her throat and begins to sing a song of restoration. As she sings nothing happens at first before suddenly the machine twitches and starts to pull itself back together and repair itself. as the song nears it's end the magearna regard's her lifelessly as if she was not there and goes back to work moving about on it's routine.

"it's fine. at least it's nice to look at."[break][break]the longer she looks, the more disrepair she spies among the architecture. melody seems to be quite knowledgeable about this place — though, any amount of knowledge is more than the amount annlise has (read: zero). she looks back at the idol as she begins to sing, then finds herself distracted by the scrape of metal as a magearna pulls its skeleton back together. her eyebrows raise, impressed, as the pokemon looks through them and then follows an invisible route away. "I need you sneak out matias in the middle of the night to help build the island for the event Kyle left for me to do." as she hands annalise the stack of papers revealing the plans and the email kyle had sent her.[break][break]

"Fernando is trying to block me. He wants the rangers to do it instead of Matias but an operation of that scale would take SO many rangers that it'd take away from war efforts. Matias could be doing this as part of community service or something. Worst of all I think he's only doing it to either stop me or because of his hate boner for Matias." [break][break]

She takes a breath to breath momentarily. "And you know I have reasons to hate him too but no one understands the influence that orb has on someone besides Me, Matias, and Bailey Cooper. Fernando isn't thinking straight. I need Matias to make an island between evergrande and sootopolis to host this event."

the answer is accepted without challenge. melody begins to reveal the reason why she asked in the first place, exchanging a stack of papers between them. annalise blinks down at the printed email at the top of the stack, flushed with surprise to see kyle's name attached to it, but says nothing. [break][break]she flips through the rest to give a cursory glance at the pages beneath, but ultimately decides to read it after melody finishes talking. her head raises, giving the top champion her attention. [break][break]but not her full attention. her mind keeps returning back to her request like a broken record. had MATIAS SILPH told melody about them? is that why she's asking her? she realizes, a beat too late, that silence has filled the grooves conversation carved out and melody is waiting for an answer. [break][break]"uh ... yeah! yeah, i could do that, i think," she agrees, folding her arms against her chest as a comfort. the stack of papers lay flush against her ribcage, still held between her fingers. "but what about the council? won't they notice if it's done way ahead of schedule? and what'll happen to us if they do?"

her lips becomes a bit chapped as Melody tries to wet them in vain and she scratches the back of her head. "The only thing I can really see being a problem is Kyogre if it shows up. I don't think it'd be too happy to find out we're creating more land."
