She stays silent, tears falling down her face as she just shuts down entirely. [break][break]

Time was not something they had, war was approaching and the world was looking to her for answers she didn't have.[break][break]

Melody had felt more alone than ever, she had wished for kyle lopez to be here to guide her, to help her. After mulling over Anna's words she speaks again. "Faking confidence? Well, I guess that's a new skill I'd need to work on. I've never been much of a good actor I suppose."

She finds a small ray of light, she knew annalise was right when it came to goode. She had recalled how gentle and kind dahlia goode was with her when she was infected with the poison. But she also recalls the fear in the woman's eyes when it started to go horribly wrong. However she carried no resentment in her heart, for if Dahlia had cured melody right then and there she would have never felt closer to MATIAS SILPH and kyle lopez in the end.[break][break]

She kicks her feet "I know you're right." she says as she looks to annalise for a moment and felt vulnerable with the ranger. "I just wanna preserve Hoenn. Protecting it's people, the pokemon, the life there. It's all so beautiful...I guess what I fear most is my failures meaning that it all gets destroyed." as she looks at some of the parts of the kingdom that had fallen into dissaray. [break][break]

"but i think the fact that you worry about this stuff is what makes you a good person for this job. you care. and that makes all the difference, even if it doesn't seem like it does."[break][break]apathy is a poison in the lifeblood of the league.[break][break]"you asked if i trusted you earlier," she starts, looking back at melody. An eerie silence fell over the area around them both despite the fact that the rest of the kingdom continued to operate as normal it was quiet all around them.[break][break]

Her presence could be felt by all the nearby automatons and annalise yet Melody seemed oblivious to it, the queen of this kingdom was casting her gaze upon the champion. [break][break]

The song started to play again, and it was even clearer than when she had lost herself in the throws of song against freya morningstar. But why was it playing now? She looked to annalise but the woman felt sympathetic and it was not an intense emotion, so what was the source? The only other person feeling something intense was herself. [break][break]

Was that the answer?[break][break]

She originally thought that the true RELIC SONG would be the answer to all of her problems. She looked to others to write it for her, freya morningstar's Desires, MATIAS SILPH's regrets, annalise henderson's determination and finally, Navy's grief. She originally though that they would all coalesce into a beautiful symphony that would fuel the new RELIC SONG. But she realizes now she was wrong, the relic song wasn't some simple song that could be written by others. It had to come from oneself.[break][break]

"I have to trust myself? she says as she starts to wipe her tears away and flicks them to the ground. That's why kyle lopez entrusted his project to her, he knew she was the right person for this job. He wouldn't want her to emulate him. she had to be herself, that's why he chose her. "Thank you Annalise... You made me realize something." [break][break]

She was good enough. She always was and always will be.[break][break]

She pulled out the piece of paper that she had begun to write the relic song on and smiled. With a tear flowing down her face, she rips the paper up into countless pieces and releases it to the wind as it scatters across the kingdom. [break][break]

" I kept hearing this song whenever I would be near someone who was feeling something intense...I thought if I could hear everyone's feelings I could compose a new Relic song, a completed one." she says as she looks upwards[break][break]

"But I was so wrong, it's not the words of a song that make it powerful, it's the emotions behind that song that matter. Other people can't write it for me, I need to feel it myself." she says as she feels the urge to sing flow through her. She closes her eyes and the kingdom stands, ready to listen to her voice and sing along to the song. [break][break]

AS ANNALISE LISTENS TO MELODY'S SONG, the Mechanical Kingdom begins to still. Cogs stop. Clockhands freeze. The machinations that reside within the kingdom take much needed rest—though they have danced in slower tempos for respite.

Wavy, elegant hair and a treble-black dress float past annalise henderson. The Kingdom's Meloetta hovers by Melody Miro and wraps her lithe arms around the Top Champion as if to comfort her. It joins in the singing. Quickly, the Melody Pokemon harmonizes with her—and as the song reaches a richness never heard before, the two bask in an ethereal glow.

From Melody Miro's pokeball, the SHARD OF MELOETTA is forcibly summoned. The Shard disperses into a radiant weave of Infinity Energy and soars deep into the Mechanical Kingdom. There, the SHARD will take the place of this world's. The original has entrusted the fate of all worlds to this deserving mortal and annalise henderson watches Melody Miro and MELOETTA consecrate their bond in song, she would be able to hear the MECHANICAL KINGDOM stir to life once again.

melody possesses powers of telekinesis. with her hands, a baton or any other instrument or tool, she is able to psychically manipulate things in her surrounding environment as if she were a conductor of an orchestra. if conducted to music, she this power becomes more powerful.

melody can attack or defend herself by firing beams or creating temporary barriers in the shape of musical bars.

melody is able to influence, control and/or direct people and most Pokemon through her voice against their own will (REQ: REQUIRES RPER PERMISSION). those affected are fully aware that they are being controlled (e.g. think of the red shoes fairy tale).

she can also use her voice to augment others' abilities or emotional states. by speaking verbalizing a command, she can cause others and herself to be faster, stronger, happier, calmer, etc. to a certain extent, she is able to heal or put others to sleep using this ability.

melody is able to manipulate sounds. with this ability, she is able to rewrite sounds, muting areas of all noise, and altering voices (including her own).

when meloetta uses RELIC SONG it has the choice to change formes or not.

When annalise henderson and Melody Miro leave, nothing seems amiss. However, the SHARD OF MELOETTA is like a robot... and those who toil in the kingdom possess wisps of soul.

Her eyes flutter open as tears still continue to stream down, and when annalise henderson looks into them she'd realize they'd have changed now.

The Meloetta of this kingdom had hugged her and sang alongside her, was it partnered with her now? She felt different yet couldn't exactly put a finger on it just yet before it dawns on her. Meloetta chose her. [break][break]

"Annalise WAIT. NO WA-" she says as she suddenly grew giddy with excitement and rushed up to annalise to hug her while jumping up and down. "I did it! I did it!! Annalise! You helped me so much how could I ever thank you?!" the harmonious asked.

melody sings and the kingdom grinds to a halt to listen to her concert. meloetta floats past her, draping comfortingly over the top champion as the solo becomes a duet. annalise listens, enraptured, until the song comes to its conclusion. [break][break]a little gasp rises in her throat once melody reopens her eyes, glittering with glossy starlight. transformed by her music, just as the the kingdom had been. [break][break]"melody — "[break][break]her breath squeaks out of her lungs as arms wrap around her, pulled into an infectiously excited embrace. despite her tears, despite her sparkling new gaze, melody is happy.[break][break] " — you don't have to thank me," she breathes out, voice wobbling with each jump. "you did it all yourself."[break][break]and, once melody's excitement becomes less physical, annalise studies her face and says, "can you see okay? your eyes look different."
