Ghost blood was pumping up as he was glad that Josh accepted the invite to a battle. He would then follow him to the grounds that the one vs one would take place. As he would respond to him. "Ya I know but you wouldn't believe have better I've gotten and how stronger Roc-Royal has gotten. We do thank you for this chance indeed face such a being."

As he fixed his hat it would be as his long green hair would blow with the wind. "Hey Allow me to show you how far I came into my own as well Senpai." Just as he said that

Roc-Royal would be unleashed with all his glory. As the mighty wings of his took to the sky. It was said and done as the duo was ready for a show down that they wouldn't forget no time soon. "Alright Josh....let's get this show on the road. Your gym so your move first."

"You asked for it!" Josh smirked in the face of Roc Royal's INTIMIDATING presence, even Swift taking caution as he ran circles around the triple-sized arena. The distance between his pawprints once he got up to speed was remarkable, a thunderous roar shaking the air around the Salamence and two trainers much like a close thunderclap would. The Raikou truly was an embodiment of the speed of lightning, taking a long time to get up to speed. It wasn't account of him being slow to accelerate, either. His top speed was just that high.

"QUICK ATTACK, Swift!" the Champion ordered. Kicking up dirt and grass, the monochrome tiger pounced toward Roc Royal so fast as to become camouflaged against the overcast sky. It may have given Ghost an idea what he was in for, were he to accept the later invite to sit astride the Raikou later in the year.

So this was the fastest land pokemon ever to be recorded huh. It's speed left Ghost barely looking on. He could barely make out what had just happened. But all he did know was that his Salamence just was bumped back a bit. He would be able to shake it off after a moment but still. This was the first time they Roc Royal had an opponent close the distance on him as if it was nothing.

Ghost would fix his hat as he looked on at Josh and then would say to him, "Raikou huh here we are with you actually having him. But unfortunately for you my Salamence is the strongest there is." Just as he said that Roc Royal would start to roar. "Now use dragon dance..." With a mighty roar Salamence would start to move around the air. As the wind picked up the very sky would start shake. If Josh looked on he should see that the pair of Ghost Roc-Royal bond have grown even stronger and that Ghost had a mega bracelet on now as opposed to the last time.

Swift was, like his name implied, incredibly fast. His lightning was almost as fierce as the element came. Where he lacked was raw physical power. Under Josh's command, he relied almost exclusively on his speed advantage to decimate foes. A speed advantage that Roc Royal's DRAGON DANCE had eroded into. Josh didn't acknowledge Ghost's remark; his eyes were split between the rapidly-moving combatants and his friend's MEGA BRACELET.

"Knock it out of the sky now, Swift! ELECTRO BALL!" Josh ordered. With his Beast still under the boost of his QUICK ATTACK, spheres of electricity formed on the tips of his fangs and his crown. Circling the Salamence with great speed, the Raikou's projectiles seemed to be coming from all directions.

Ghost looked on as his ears was starting to ring. As it was true what they was saying. Raikou when he moves you can hear thunder. Roc Royal was having a hard time keeping up with the legendary pokemon even with his power up. But one thing was for sure and that's that he was not going to give in. As he looked on the speed would turn into an electro ball came his way. As fast as it was Roc Royal was nearly about to counter it.

With a blast of his Flame Thrower he would send it crashing into the ball of lightening. Getting hit by one of them would be a very bad thing. Salamence is part flying type after all. As the smoke cloud came into the sky because of the duo attacks. Roc Royal would be flying over head. As Ghost looked up he could see him moving via his shadow. Ghost would give a smile Josh and then say. "Wow not many could put him on the defense like this. But we ain't done yet now then Roc Royal use Fly."

Just then the dragon type would dive down through the clouds right at the legendary. He was going for a direct attack.

Seeing the evasive maneuvers coming, it looked like Roc Royal was trying to get out of range of the electric attacks. As blistering fast as his signature spheres were, Swift's range with them left something to be desired. "Hold, Swift. Let him come to us." With a nod, the monochrome tiger crouched, ready to spring upward the moment he saw the draconic missile poke through the low cloud cover.

"Ghost, your Salamence is fast, but there's no outspeeding Swift. Not unless your name is Eva Morales ." Or, unbeknownst to him, freya morningstar . Rayquaza was the one Pokémon he knew of that was even faster than Raikou, and it wasn't even a contest. That emerald serpent, mid-DRAGON ASCENT, felt like an entire order of magnitude faster from his experience with the Peacemaker.

As the Salamence dove toward Swift with reckless abandon, the Raikou leaped toward his sparring partner in a claws-first QUICK ATTACK that even the Gym Leader lost track of.

It's speed truly was something but now it then went and did a quick attack. Too fast for Roc-Royal as he took a direct hit. Sending the dragon type further up in the sky. "HANG ON BRACE YOURSELF." Ghost would look on as he he saw this. It was crazy that this battle was even going on. Ghost would look at his Salamence and then smile. "OK Raikou is not a flying type so that means we have one shot at this. It's new but it just might work.....Salamence now Use Draco Meteor."

Roc-Royal looked at him as he said that and a smile came over his face. As for once he was outmatched and could use this very attack. It was as the very air started to shake and just like that Pyro balls would take to the sky. As Ghost looked on he would see the Salamence launch down at the legendary pokémon. But what makes this attack so strong is that it attacks everyone all at once. "Let's see him dodge this one." Ghost would say out loud but to himself.

The contact between the tough Salamence and the ultrafast Raikou was violent and brutal, even Josh able to feel the impact's power from his distance. Mighty as the ashen Beast was, even it had its limits, the Gym Leader quick to recognize them. He needed to end this now, whether in a victory or in a draw.

"Swift, ELECTRO BALL!" the Knight of Thunder ordered, his Raikou's built speed raising that of his web of shocking energy spheres. Though they lacked the size and weight of the Draco Meteor swarm, their sheer upward velocity more than made up for it. The attack was aimed not at Roc Royal directly, but the falling earth above him. Each one was pounded by a wave of electric attacks moving so fast that they looked like topaz comets flying through Roc Royal's desperation move. With each collision, a meteor would fragment into many smaller meteorites. Instead of being crushed beneath a giant hunk of earth, merely large pieces would batter the Raikou, robbing him of his speed.

Josh was ready to call the battle at any moment, his RAINBOW FEATHER in hand...

Ghost would look on as his heart was pounding and pounding. This is what battling was all about and he lived foe the thrill of it. As he looked on he would give a smile and then he would watch the fire works happen. Gaining data from this battle Ghost would notice that an Electro ball came at the powerful Draco Meteor. But there was no way that such a thing could take on his mighty dragon attack.
But then it had hit him, That attack is based off of the speed of a pokemon and the pokemon that is using such an attack. Is the fastest pokemon on land and if that's the case then that attack would be nothing shirt of deadly.

Just then the clash would take place as it came raining down at each other. It was like fireworks and then as the balls of fire hit the ground. He would notice that the legendary thunder beast did in fact slow down. But Roc-Royal was too weak to go on. As Ghost would then raise his hand in a forfeit. Because Roc-Royal if he goes on any longer it would be foolish because he would snap out at any moment.

The ELECTRO BALL and DRACO METEOR collided in an apocalyptic explosion whose shockwave knocked out a single glass pane on the scoreboard. It had been one that had held up since Josh had relocated the Gym to Mauville City in the first place. It was only a matter of time before he had to replace it. Once Ghost had raised the white flag, Josh arranged for the trainers' platforms to lower, the Raikou cantering to his trainer's side. He buried his hands in the Beast's facial fur-like ash and cuddled with the legendary creature like a child would their favorite plaything.

After Josh touched the electric-type with the quill of the RAINBOW FEATHER, Swift's ashes returned to the artifact's interior. "You've come a long way, Ghost," the Gym Leader complimented. "That you're so fearless, even when fighting an opponent as strong as Swift, shows you're truly among Hoenn's elite." Perhaps, one day, he would likewise find the legendary partner he sought after, just like Josh did.

Wow what a fight if one do say so himself. A smile would be on his face as he looked
at Josh. Its been quite some time since he and Roc-Royal went all out mostly. As he looked on he would pat his Salamence head to let him know he did a good job. Soon he would recall him as he looked on at Josh and his mighty Thunder Beast. Soon he would light up as he heard what he Josh just told him. Josh just acknowledged Ghoat strength and all it's glory. This meant a lot to him and this was because Josh himself was a champion and you do not just become champion. There are trails and fireworks to go through and to put his strength in line with those of the elites. Ghost was all smiles as he looked on.

"Josh thank you much,you went against the best of the best and to hear that from someone of your caliber is indeed a praise to the highest regards. As I've been training and honing my skills. After this stop I am going to take on the elite four. I plan to become not a champion but a Beacon of hope through my skills and might along. So me and my team battling against stronger teams means alot. Your Raikou is the fastest on the ground so that will give my Salamence a better chance of following faster opponents. But I Thank you for the opportunity to go against such a being."
He would say as he fixed his hat. Soon I will also be an elite ranger ya know justice always win in the end.
