Airi makes her exit outside of Petalburg General Hospital with a soft smile curled around her full lips after taking a sip from her delicious, iced coffee. However, her sweet smile soon was soon turned upside down the second a resident collided into her, causing her delicious beverage to hit the ground. Her deep azure eyes taking notice of the panicked expression shown on his face as he continued to jet away from the city screaming gibberish with his arms flailing around high in the air. Within a few seconds, she receives an alert over her communication device, notifying her that Petalburg City is currently under attack.

Shortly after, another small group of residents rushed past her in panic. Instead of evacuating with them, Airi took upon herself to head in the opposite direction of the loud commotion in hopes of finding out the cause of the unexpected attack. Luckily, it did not take her too long to encounter the source. Her deep azure eyes took in the sight of young, blonde-haired boy attempting to fend the city against a gang of Team Rocket members. Without any hesitation, she rushes towards him. "Hi there. I admire your courage to protect the city, but I need to get you out of here and somewhere safe," The Ranger Nurse tells him, giving him a soft smile.

Her piercing azure orbs soon shift away from the young trainer the moment she heard an unfamiliar voice approaching them. Naturally, she stood in front of the younger trainer, taking a protective stance as she locks eyes with the mysterious masked man. "I did not know who you are or nor do I care... I will not allow you to hurt this child or anyone else in this city," she tells him in a stern voice. Despite his intimidating persona, Airi stood tall and confident as she withdrew a Poke Ball from around her utility belt.

"This is your chance, please get out of here. I will take care of this, I promise." Airi gives the young boy an encouraging smile. She is hopeful that he will take her words to heart and make a run for it. Enlarging the Poke Ball inside of her hand, she releases her Venusaur.

A slight frown shown over Airi's face fair, after hearing the young boy's response to her previous request. She knew that was a good possibility that he would decline her offer. However, she did not expect him to be so sharp-tongued with her. She nods her head at his words, then takes a few seconds to gather her words due to her wishes not to lash out at him with her emotions. "You have every right to feel how you want to feel about the League. I am not here to try to convince you otherwise. I just want to ensure that you are safe. So, if you wish to take them on, then I will stand alongside you, too. At least try to be careful," she spoke out to him, giving him another small smile before shifting her attention back towards the mysterious masked man. [break][break]

Her piercing azures staring sharply at him for a moment as he agreed with the young boy's words. Although, she does not think too kindly of his words. She is also not in the position to tell him how he should view the League either. Her main focus right now is to try her best to protect the kid and the others attempting to make an escape from the city. Even if she is not able to take down the masked man, then perhaps she will be able to delay any other plans that he may hope to carry out for Team Rocket. [break][break]

She watched the young boy order his Pokémon to make their first move against the masked man without any fear showing through his body language. She wants to believe in his ability to take out their opponent, but she is afraid that he may be a little too rash with his approach and lack some control in managing his emotions. As expected, the masked man did not hesitate to fight back. Despite his choice not to attack her Venusaur, she will have to make the decision to interfere even if her main goal is not to inflict too much damage on his Pokémon, or even cause serious harm to his body. "Matcha, Leech Seed!" She commanded her Grass/Poison-type Pokémon. A low grunt escaped from he Venusaur's mouth as he fired an array of multiple glowing green seeds towards his opponents from the beautiful flower on his back. Of the seeds make their mark on the opponents. then they will become wrapped in thick vines and leaves that restrain them and the vines and leaves would glow a scarlet red and slowly drain the energy from them.

Airi smiles then nods her head at the young trainer's decision to allow her to assist him with taking down the mysterious masked man. "Alright. Let us see if cannot make quick work of this," She spoke out with a wider grin spread across her lips. Two against one may not seem fair, but the mysterious masked man has an army of comrades wreaking havoc on the city and if Airi and her new partner are not able to make quick work of their opponent, then the citizens and the city itself may be doomed. "What is it that Team Rocket wants with Petalburg City?" She asks the masked man, not expecting him to give her any clear answers, but she figured that it would be worth a shoot to ask him anyway.

The battle takes off between the Pokémon on the battlefield, both sides of the field not willing to give in to their opponents. The Gengar's Hypnosis was effect against the Emolga, but Matcha's Leech Seed was easily evaded due to the Emolga's ability to send them in the direction of the Gengar. A confused frown makes it way over Airi's face as she watches it. Normally, the Leech Seed would ensnare its opponent's body and drain their health the moment it makes contact with any part of their body. "We will not let you get away so easily!" Airi responds and within the blink of an eye her Venusaur's long and powerful vines extends out from his back as he blocks the Gengar's body and fires the glowing seeds back at their opponents with even more force and speed then before, hoping it make it even more difficult for them to dodge them this time. Especially, since one of them is becoming drowsy.

Matcha lets to out a loud yawn as he watched the Wooper release a relaxing Yawn of its own. Unfortunately, yawning is super contagious, which means that Airi's Venusaur will also be taking a peaceful nap during the next turn. The make the battle between them even more difficult, the Emolga had managed to set up barrier made out of light to decrease the power of special attacks. Not bad. The majority of Airi's Venusaur's moves are Special Attacks, but she did teach him a couple of physical moves just for rare moments like this. "We have to make this move count for something, Matcha! Power Whip!" She commands her Pokémon. [break][break]

The massive Grass & Poison type let out a monstrous roar as he stomped his feet against the ground. The two vines from Matcha's back starts to glow light green and increase in size before striking towards his opponent, hoping to whip them unconscious.

Airi blinks her ocean blue eyes in response to the masked man's answer to her previous question. It was a vague answer, but still an answer. Nonetheless, it is more than she expected to get out of him. She understands that Team Rocket has a strong desire to gain even more power, but at the risk of other people's lives and freedom. Disgusting! She wishes nothing more than to prevent their plans from gaining even more power, but she is only one person and there is no way that she will be able to prevent it from happening in due time. She will just have to hope and pray that the others, who are stronger than her will be able to prevail over the massive disadvantages.

At least, Airi and her battle partner were able to take out the Emolga and that is one less Pokémon that the two of them will have to worry about. Her keen ocean blue orbs did take notice of the Bewear in the background. However, it has not made a move to attack any of their Pokémon just yet, which does not make it a threat at the moment. She will make a mental note to keep a watchful eye on it, but at this time she will keep her main focus on taking out the Wooper.

The ground underneath her feet begins to tremble as the Wooper starts to throw a tantrum. Airi quickly plants her feet against the ground, pressing her weight against the ground in hopes of maintaining her balance. Meanwhile, Matcha lets out a painful cry as he feels the effects of the Earthquake inflict pain against his body. "Hang in there, Matcha!" She encourages her Pokémon. The Venusaur lets out another low groan before giving in to the drowsiness of the previous Yawn that was used against him. Airi thinks about recalling her Pokémon, but she later figures that it would best to keep him out for now to avoid any of her other Pokémon taking unnecessary damage. She will just have to cross her fingers and hope that Matcha will awaken from his slumber in due time.

Airi's attention was soon taken away from the battle the moment her deep azure eyes caught sight of a dazzling storm of energy beams whistling and fizzing through the sky and aiming towards the Petalburg General at high speed. A chilling shiver rushes down her spine and her deep azure eyes becomes full of fear and anguish as she watches the colorful beams of light dance across the open sky from multiple directions before mercilessly striking the towering building. "N-N-Noo!" She cries out, fighting back the shiny tears building up underneath her eyelids.

She wants to dash off and make her way towards the collapsing tower to help any civilians or fellow nurses, who may be trapped inside of the building, but she cannot. Her body feels slow and heavy, as if she is completely paralyzed and overwhelmed by the horror she witnesses only a few seconds ago... Eventually, she musters up enough strength to grab the radio clipped to her utility belt to contact Captain Shalin Nariya . "Ca-Captain Nariya... It-it's Cadet Watanabe... The Petalburg General is collapsing from an airstrike..." She attempts to inform the Petalburg Captain over the radio. Hopefully, she is able to hear her. Airi eventually lowers the radio as she continues to watch the black cloud of smoke command the demolished building.
