It seemed Yvaine knew little about Sygna Suits; the "Gym Leader" would have to explain how they worked. "So the Beedrill isn't actually the Pokémon that is synced to the suit; it's actually the Flygon and the Venusaur behind us," she pointed out. "But the magic works all the same. I will say this about them: every suit is different. The suit represents what the trainer and synced Pokémon share their bond over. Your imagination and the bond with your Pokémon are the limits. Mine, and the copy you're wearing, are extreme motion suits." She let that sink in for Yvaine, the two of them so close to one another in personality that she felt she could handle, and perhaps one day even craft, a suit like that.

She did need to go over the basics first. "When you wear a Sygna Suit, you lose a piece of what makes you human, your Pokémon loses a piece of what makes it a Pokémon, and you trade them with one another. Can you feel a difference... almost like you're part Flygon now?" she asked. "It's that feeling that enables the magic. Your emotions control the suit and what it does. For instance, happiness or JOLLINESS make your Pokémon faster at the expense of raw strength." There were all kinds of other emotions she could experiment with in the simulated space.

She let her explanation sink in before moving on. "Now specific to this suit, you'll feel substantially lighter to your Pokémon, like they'll barely notice your weight at all. That's how I can sit on Queen Zing's wing and it doesn't break." She scooted back slightly on the wing to show how she held on. "Just like this. Now, try it with her other wing. And hold on tight. I'm sure you know how fast they can get."

Once both were in place and ready to go, the blue-eyed wasp would give the two a silent, but still speedy warm-up flutter. The wings beat just beneath the threshold of human hearing, flicking Shalin and the guest rider up and down fast enough to turn their surroundings into abstract art. Their wild ride lasted but a few seconds before becoming still, the Captain calling out to Yvaine. "What did you think of it?"
