[break][break] The admin walks briskly past her to join the group headed towards the water-borne city, as if there was no future in which he didn't follow into the depths of hell. After all, he had abandoned her once. He had no intention of doing it again.

Moments later, they arrive on the salty shores of Mossdeep City. His SHADOW DRAGAPULT lends him and the rest of their group through a secret passageway made by the TERA TUNNELS underpass, by way of it's PHANTOM FORCE.

Through Tori’s tenure as a mercenary she had more than a few missions that required stealth. It wasn’t necessarily one of her favorite things but she could keep up without embarrassing herself.

[break][break] She followed Jayden’s lead expertly along with the rest of the grunts. She lingered and melted seamlessly into the shadows as if she was made for this. Her steps practiced and silent.

[break][break] It didn’t take them long to reach the area they had been aiming for. They even managed to do so with minimal resistance. Glancing around everyone began to disperse and check out the goods in the room. Everyone but Tori that is.

[break][break] This was all…suspicious. It was too quiet and way too easy to get in here. Where were the guards that were supposed to be patrolling the area?

[break][break] No sooner had she thought that had the sirens gone off. Someone had tripped the alarm which caused her to curse under her breath. They all began to scramble and leave but once again Tori felt herself hesitate. Were they really supposed to leave empty handed like this? Back in the day, a younger, more arrogant version of herself would’ve ignored Jayden’s orders and gone to swipe the goods.

[break][break] With another curse hissed under her breath she quickly whipped around and left the research documents alone and turned to book it out of there with everyone else.

It was insane how quickly things went to shit. They were forced to be on the run and just when they were on their way out of here they managed to get caught.

[break][break] “Shit.” Tori cursed to herself. Perhaps if she hadn’t hesitated they might’ve been able to avoid getting cornered like this. Either way, Tori refused to stay on the back foot. With a flash her Lucario was by her side and was ready to engage before Jayden took the lead.

[break][break] He worked to steadily disengage them from this situation. Tori herself wasn’t sure who the woman in front of them was but she was steadily getting reinforcements.

[break][break] Just when things were beginning to look a little hot, her father showed up. Between and the tides changed instantly.

[break][break] And while she was grateful her father was here to get her out of a sticky situation, she couldn’t help but feel a sour taste in her mouth. Tori bit her lips sharply as she found herself increasingly frustrated by her own performance this mission. Still, she didn’t have long to dwell on that. Jayden was quick to bark orders at them to disappear and this time she didn’t hesitate.

[break][break] While the entire mission wasn’t considered a failure due to them having nabbed something from the labs, Tori herself felt like she had failed. Her actions and choices had put them all in awkward positions just to have to be saved by her father and Jayden in the end. Wiping her face with a towel she plopped down in a seat and put her head in her hands. “Dammit…”
