"Just a moment." He muttered as he fetched a netball of his own, raising it over his head as he released an Orbeetle out into the limited, un-submerged air space above them. "Link us up, Garo."

There was an odd sensation as the Orbeetle reached telepathically to all those present, readying itself to serve as a control tower of sorts.

"Keep us alerted, Garo." He said, nodding at the Orbeetle, who's eyes flashed blue in response.

Between all three pokemon, nothing came in, nothing came out, and hopefully nothing hidden got the jump on them either.

Turning his gaze back to Ollie, Doug shook his head.

"No; hopefully Garo will. I ain't all that great at these water stuff." Last time he had been near Sea Mauville, he and Stormy Silph had almost died.

Good times.

"So, we lookin' for a terminal? Hard drive?" Beat. "Floppy disk?"

[break][break] He had half a mind to splash the other, but decided against it, instead folding his arms against the edge of the metal edge that John Sullivan stood on.

[break][break] "Think illeana reyes and our science team are trying to look for hard drives, if memory serves right. You know much about that, John?" Pause. "Or should I call you Doctor John, now?"

[break][break] Last he'd heard from the Tapu Lele avatar, he'd been off on some sort of road-trip with his bike, off to go discover himself. Or something like that.

He looked unamused, lips pursing.

"Ha. Ha. Just for that, you can call me colonel." He harrumphed with a sniff, turning back to the edge of the water before hopping inside with a splash.

"How's it lookin', Garo?" He asked the Orbeetle as he rose over the surface, its eyes glowing briefly as it turned them to him.

He nodded with a hum.

"No threats detected. Let's hope it stays that way." He said, turning back to Ollie.

"Most hard drives will probably be busted after taking a dip in these pools; sure hope this is worth it." He could've been in a hospital, doing stuff he was actually qualified for, instead of this deep sea scuba diving stunt.

"Well, I assume you ain't 'fraid of water, so... lead the way, Head Ranger."

[break][break] It was no secret how much he hated formalities.

[break][break] "Busted or not, I'm sure the science team will find a way to extract the data," Ollie said with a grin. He had the absolute confidence in illeana reyes, after all, and whatever fancy work she'd have to do to uncover the research that was oh-so-important that they had to go digging for it.

[break][break] Ollie disappeared back into the water with a sudden splash, navigating the submerged depths of Sea Mauville as easily as he did the mountains that surrounded Evergrande City.

"I dunno what AQUA told ya, but x-ray vision ain't one of my powers." He teased lazily, grinning over at his Orbeetle. "But what do ya think, Garo?"

"Looks like ya ain't there yet. Go low enough to touch the bottom, then move north-east from there. If ya find anything in yer way, let me know." He said. "We'll move it from here."

[break][break] Nodding in agreement with the other's words, Ollie dove closer to the bottom of the ocean. Just as the other said, he waited until he was close enough that his knuckles could brush against the mossy bottom.

As the other man dove deeper into the ocean's depths, the Orbeetle's eyes began to blink in a pattern, its gaze turning back to Doug.

The youth frowned, turning his attention to the Head Ranger's Drednaw.

"Oi, Lobby! There's Sharpedo approaching the perimeter, to your left." He said, pointing in the things general direction. "Closer to the ocean floor. Could you go scare it away 'fore it gets close to the Head Ranger?"

He turned his attention back to Ollie as the man reported in a find, humming.

"Can you bring it back on yer own? Do ya need help lifting it to the surface?"

"You got it, boss!"

[break][break] Upon hearing @epicbugcatcher's alert of a nearby Sharpedo swarm, ollie morales was on the case. He swerved closer, churning through the ocean waters, until he could clearly see the sight of the wild pokemon approaching the hull of the ship.

[break][break] "Hops! Scare 'em off!"

[break][break] His Blastoise swam out ahead of them, aiming it's pistons at the incoming pokemon with a HYDRO PUMP. The sudden blast of water startled the Sharpedo, forcing them to swim back away, deeper into the depths.

[break][break] "Sharpedo dealt with. And yeah, I'm coming back to the surface."

[break][break] In no time at all, the Head Ranger appeared, head popping out of the water. He raised his arm in the air, showing off the flashdrive in his hand.
