Work after the wakes of war was compounding, everything was falling apart and continued to do so, there was hardly space for stability and calm. The snowball effect of everything was clear, flooding, power loss, even stemming from the sinking of Sea Mauville, nothing had been able to really be resolved then given how quickly war was to take over the region. So it was no wonder that Mauville wanted to survey their power plant in the aftermath of everything that had happened.[break]
And it was just more work to keep occupied...[break][break]
True to form, as suggested, Yuina made her way into the power plant and with the equipment she held, she was greeted with varying influxes of electrical energy. Everything about the region was off balance, distraught, it didn't matter if an area had been directly affected or not, the Pokémon knew... And the Pokémon that remained around the powerplant were upset all the same. It was necessary to do what they could to disperse at least some of the electric type pokemon lest they want to see a power surge and then an outage for everything within dozens of square miles.[break][break]
Yuina walked carefully with Raiju beside her, the Jolteon crackled with black electric sparks as its piercing red eyes scanned the area. He, like Ryu, was imbued by what she had come to know as Shadow toxins, though she didn't know his cause. The canine, while marginally aggressive, was amicable with her due to Ryu's... Trust? Loyalty? Understanding of her? It was hard to know... But in the end, just like her interactions with The Harbinger himself, she wasn't dead yet...

Gravity intensified in the area around the powerplant. Gaius had come here for no grand or noble reason.

This place offered prey, it offered training, and so he would sink his fangs into them.

A Metagross was at his side with strange markings that to someone knowledgeable enough would identify it as a Illumina pokemon.

However that was the only light his opponents would see as soon the ground underneath them would quake, shake, and break apart as a powerful Accretion sundered his surroundings knocking them all out in one swoop.

Gaius left the wreckage of this fight in his wake, and he marched on deeper into the depths of this place.

These could not sate his hunger.

If he was spotted, he didn't notice, and continued to leave a trail of broken, and fainted pokemon behind him.

Taking a moment to look at the energy readings that read out on a set of equipment Yuina worked with, gauging how much of a magnetic field was being generated by the said influx of Pokemon in the power plant, she noticed one of the other radars she had with her started to pick up something else... An influx of infinity energy... Where she had been trying to find out if the noble pokemon appearing in the region carried infinity energy signatures at all, Yuina wondered if it might be her chance...[break][break]
Moving carefully through the plant, following the readings, Yuina stopped at a particular snarl creeping through Raiju's maw. His needles prickled with black sparks, and his ears flattened against his head, moving low to the ground, stalking...[break][break]
Quietly, rounding a corner, Raiju huffed on open maw, fangs bared in the arch of his jowls as they found a man and what Yuina had to assume was the Pokemon setting off some of her equipment. And a wake of wounded and fainted electric type Pokemon...[break][break]
"This is a restricted area. What are you doing here?"

Words echoed into his ear canals. Lazily he turned his head keeping his back to the newcomer acting as if they weren't even worth his effort to fully turn around.

Boredom stretched across his features at the words restricted.

For him nothing was off limits, for the world was his to roam.

"I am searching for worthy adversaries....I have yet to find any." Red eyes darted to the creature at her side, with it's twisted aura.

"Or maybe I have. Are you strong?" Came the simple words to the girl.

His Illumina Metagross floated near him, and he waited for an answer.

Yuina stood straighter, now that she had been perceived, garnering their attention. It seemed to be of little regard though as they made quite a show of lazing about over being the focus. She tucked away the equipment she was working with as she squared herself, keeping Raiju at her side, only for now.[break][break]
"What does it matter," she leered back, finding his pointed question obtuse, and frankly very telling.[break][break]
"I could say whatever I wanted, but with a question like that, you'll make your own answer always," she returned, that was all there was to it. It didn't matter if she said she was the champion of the region, the idea wouldn't mean anything to someone that already made it clear all they were looking for was strength, power, the power to hold over others.
