First war and now other strange appearances - truly it seems that Hoenn is built different, and perhaps also built on various anomalies. At least it would explain quite a bit about how they've suddenly come to face a glowing, abnormally large pokémon.

"What even is it?!" Katharina screeches as she dodges an attack, not able to set clear sight on the brightly coloured pokémon. There's one moment of hesistancy about bringing out their big guns, but this truly is a big gun moment. "Alright, here goes nothing-" A Roaring Moon appears on the field, incredibly large and really intimidating.

"Hold it off! XY, how's you?!"

Frankly, coming to Hoenn and he hasn't expected to be met with this many surprises and changes all around from his familiar environment, he is quite ... flabberghasted. Astonished. Intrigued. And, in this very special moment ... also quite endangered. Only dodging barely from an attack from some unknown force, he is quick to summon his entire force of three Pokémon, the X, Y and Z coming out and together.[break]

"Somewhat? It's no funny business, though ... what the heck is that even?" he shouts over to Katharina. It seems like the creature is already enraged, so there is no use in concealing themselves much more, or so he thinks. In the meanwhile, his Pokémon are operating on their own, firing different attacks of both defensive and offensive nature at the shining threat.

"I have no idea!" Katharina replies as the Roaring Moon that she summoned already charges forward, alongside the three pokémon that Xuying commands, or something like that. There's a very certain aggression coming from the Paradox Pokémon as it flies forward with gigantic wings, seemingly uncaring about its comrades in battle.

Head first, it charges the glowing mirage-like but very physical opponent with a Zen Headbutt.

"It feels different though- kinda like a ghost," Katharina adds as she looks at Xuying apologetically, "Also- sorry, I ... I only recently got that one. It shouldn't attack your pokémon though-" Or so she desperately hopes. She wouldn't want this past to catch up so violently ... "But I... it's a pokémon, right? That glowing thing ... looks like ... a Lilligant? But- Hisuian?"

To be honest, Xuying quite has a mindset of 'been there, done that' - 'seen that, don't care', so he hasn't even been perceiving the Roaring Moon as much of an anomaly, probably not in the sense that Katharina is thinking. "Nah, you're good - doesn't look like a Salamence to me, but ... go figure?" he manages to say with a shrug, assuming she probably got one for some of her research and all that was related to such. In his case, however ... as his Pokémon work independently from him on battling this strange creature engulfed in light, he has a bit more time to study the Hisuian Lilligant. If it even is one, to be honest.[break]

"Not really a Ghost type for sure," he throws back at the other as he remains in safe distances, "but also not really normal, either ... Feels lifeless, almost, but - y'know? Not in the sense that regular Ghost types would be. Maybe. What do I know?" He only hangs with the shiny Rotom here and now, but other than that - he quickly rolls out of the way of a beam coming his direction. This is a tough one ...

It's always a relief to see that Xuying's unfazedness also extends to a gigantic prehistoric dragon that looks a bit like it could kill you on accident. But surely it won't - even if Kat is still figuring out relations to this one, they're at least somewhat certain on that, even if on nothing much more. It's also certain that, like Xuying's pokémon, it doesn't need any further instructions to charge onward, using Zen Headbutt first and then Breaking Swipe, which the Hisuian Lilligant (?) returns with Leaf Storm, engulfing its opponents swiftly and also temporary blocking Kat's line of sight.

Still, they nod in agreement with the other, looking pensively as they shift into researcher mode. "True. It's ... really eeriely devoid of life, as if it never even lived at all. Ghosts usually try to look alive at least, or they simply are ... alive in that different sense. This here ..." It's hard to describe.

However, its aggression is clear, as it cuts through the air with several Leaf Blades, stomping and dancing maniacally. It's only barely that Kat remembers to dodge out of the way to not be hit by the attack, rolling to prevent any bones from breaking. "But it's definitely out for us - is it like a spiritual guardian? Did we trespass?"

"Like nothing," Xuying briefly concludes whatever it seems to be going on in front of them as their Pokémon battle them on auto-mode, with one attack following the other as the shiny Metagross also ensures that there is enough Iron Defense to cover the worse parts of the whole ordeal. Still ... how odd of a thing it truly is, he cannot even begin to fathom. "And why is it imitating Pokémon, even, I wonder." Or is it some sort of Pokémon form that they have just never discovered before? At least not in the written records of the recent centuries ...[break]

"Trespass where, though? It's not like this is our first time passing this route," he argues back, laying flat on his back as another attack is about to hit him, "and this hasn't been a problem before." So, what changed? What of the ever-changing state of the world changed for this to appear?

Now there's a thought. Katharina pauses - wrong move, he needs to move ASAP - at Xuying's speculation. "It could be imitating pokémon, too, indeed - I was thinking it's like a Spiritual Guardian version of a pokémon, kinda like ... dead and not dead. Undead, in a way," he adds, voice oddly calm despite the frantic attempts at staying alive and not be slain by the Hisuian Liligant.

Roaring Moon is also- they look at it with a concerned look. A frenzy almost, but it also works ... Gods, they really shouldn't do that. But given the ferocity of the spectral pokémon, they wonder what other choice they might have.

"Your lack of imagination sometimes," she murmurs at Xuying's maybe even a bit defiant words, shaking her head. "I'm more like ... I mean, the region's changing constantly. And I feel like there's some old, old powers waking up, too."

She looks at the golden glowing pokémon with red eyes that seems to look back directly.

"We really got here in time to witness The End Of The World TM, huh?"
