Why did she even show up in the first place? If her mother were to find out about this she highly doubt she would get out completely unscathed, truly ironic when you think it was because of her that they even got to know each other. Not to mention it had been an entire year, actually even a bit longer, there is no way things were the same for him as it was for her. What could she possibly hope for by meeting up with him?[break][break]

For something to be as she remembered.[break][break]

She knew that to be the truth deep down, and it was probably why she went through this much effort to get her way into his draciary despite the league guards he has around. Even though she knows her face isn't quiet well known as being Rocket, this is technically war time.. anything can go wrong and siding on the air of caution could really go far for her. Though not being as athletic as most Rockets she really need to utilize the abilities of her Pokémon and finding any small amount of holes to slip past. Thankfully it was getting late and the rain was pouring down hard to cover any sound slip ups she may have.[break][break]

Honestly this whole thing would have been far less horrifying and stalkerish if she was able to just give a ring to give him some sort of a heads up, but her mother sought to it to remove that. There would be no way for her to go out and figure it out now that she was given a new phone, it's something now that is monitored very closely. A curfew would normally be enacted to unless Naia had a reasonable request, but tonight she knew her mother would be busy with a dinner meeting.[break][break]

She just hopped she can get home back in time to dry and change. Speaking of needed to get dry.. The resounding sound of her splatting on the ground after using her Zwei to climb through a window, really only showed how long she had to stay outside figuring out how to break into this place. While she wasn't a stranger to the cold thanks to her mother, nothing ran colder than the shiver down her spine when she hard the sounds of someone moving nearby; possibly notified by the sound she made.[break][break]

Out of instinct her hand would reach down towards her purse, quietly unzipping it so that she could have a quicker access to her gun inside. However to a pleasant surprise she instead seen a familiar face, not familiar like Jayden and his drastic change, but someone who looked at least.. mostly the same. As to not cause any suspicion Naia would switch to a handkerchief in her purse, bringing it over to her chin to wipe off the water pooling on her jawline and neck, "Hi Remi." her voice soft, weary but most of all delighted to see him again.

This was a really dumb decision, if anything she was in the place where Remi would have every Pokémon he wanted at his disposal if he wanted to kill her, but at the very least maybe he could see this as her way of showing trust. A vulnerably any leaguer didn't deserve to have. But how happy she was when he called back to her, just a second she really did believe in her heart that things were normal-- before he hesitated.[break][break]

The smile on her face would instant press down into a tight line, before uncharacteristically she'd just laugh a bit. It was almost funny how fucked up so many of her relationships have become she just couldn't get mad anymore, it was just so tiring. "I couldn't get in touch, I lost my phone when we moved.."[break][break]

She'd turn her eyes towards the ground just watching the puddles ripple out in a chaotic fashion before looking back over at Remi with another smile. "You know what it's like, sometimes she just chooses to uproot our lives and move out on a whim." "A... Are you cold?"[break][break]

Naia's hand would relax, for a moment she'd let go of her anxieties and just focus in on herself in the present. She was soaked head to toe late into the evening no less, obviously she was cold. "Yeah.." a somber tone, followed by a small nod of her head as the more she focused inwards to her own self she could feel her shoulder start to tremble. [break][break]

"We can sit if you'd like... share my umbrella."[break][break]

Even with him gesturing to the bench, Naia didn't move right away. Fear was crawling in again, and even just after finally letting go of her sleeve she'd find herself seeking it's small comfort. It felt like they both wanted to bridge this gap of trust but still was still to cautious to actually step on it. How sad, despite being aware of the chasm between them, this entire time she thought she had been meeting him halfway, but in reality she had been sitting on the sidelines.[break][break]

"That'd be nice.." If she wanted him to let down his guard, she just needed to do the same. There is no way they will be able to talk if both of them are walking on eggshells. As she made her way over to the bench she'd do her best to sweep her hair all to the same side, waiting till she was now under the umbrella before she'd try to wring out the water from it. At first Naia choose to sit with some distance between them, mainly out of curtsy in not getting him wet, but it really got her to think.[break][break]

Their relationship was truly was poetic, even now while he sat there dry and warm and her wet and cold; they have always sat on opposite ends. A leaguer and a rocket, even now while he tries his best to be her umbrella what Naia truly wanted was to be his rain. She moved with some hesitancy, seeking his consent as she attempt to slide on closer to his side, or better yet, she wanted to bring him to her side. "I've missed you so much."[break][break]

The way her wet clothes clung to her skin it felt almost suffocating, it reminded her of her home and her thoughts and in those weak moments she couldn't help but seek out his presence. something she'd do exactly that if he'd let her, in the form of resting her head on his shoulder, "There wasn't a time I didn't think about you.." Her voice trailed off, taking a moment to close her eyes and really gather herself and her courage. She can only pray that he'd see it.[break][break]

"We should talk.. A real heart to heart," Naia would open her eyes, watching the water on the river, giving herself a second before continuing, "but I'm sure you have as much questions as me." She'd say, turning her head up to look at his face. Did she start? Did she wait till he took a step first? Or maybe they both were meeting half way and was too blind to see it.. "Remi.." The grip on her sleeve was tighter than ever, her knuckles were white and her hand trembled as she was gathering every strength in her being to continue. She needed to be stronger both inside and out. [break][break]

"You know I'm rocket, right?"

Sheltered below the canopy of the trees, Guavafang hangs upside-down from a branch and enjoys some fresh guava fruit as she peers at the two humans sitting on the bench nearby. Remiel seems nervous. Which is unusual for the man. That alone tugs on the Noivern's interest so much so that she uses her TELEPATHY to try and eavesdrop on what's happening.[BREAK][BREAK]

Remiel tries not to stare as Naia wrings out her hair, but her presence here is fascinating. Despite the danger, she was here. In a way, the EX-ADMIN is as flattered as he is befuddled. He hardly registers her scooting closer until she's pressed up right against him, expressing her longing for him after so long and drawing out his own emotions on the matter.[BREAK][BREAK]

"I... I've missed you, too. I was so confused when you left... angry, at first. Then just..." Sad. Not entirely unlike when had disappeared. Or when he'd broken things off with for her own good. He lets his sentence trail off before answering her next statement with a solemn nod. "I think I've always known you were ROCKET. I just refused to believe it."[BREAK][BREAK]

He gulps. Their closeness does not go unnoticed. He'd yearned for her touch as much as he'd yearned to speak with her. The warmth her mere presence provided was enough to stave off the cold from the rain. The royal hopes to impart that feeling to her as he reaches over, sheltering her trembling hand with his own and waiting for it to grow still.[BREAK][BREAK]

It was childish in a way, but Naia was thankful that her eyes were closed while Remi talked, it was as if they were acting like a barrier between her and the truth she didn't want to see. Just as much as Naia was hurt by and when they defected from Rocket upon her return, she was sure that she probably caused as much pain from her just suddenly leaving as well. At least, from the way that Remiel talked it hurt him in a similar way. [break][break]
She wasn't innocent in this.[break]

But in it's own strange twisted way, Naia couldn't help but focus in on him missing her back. All she wanted was for a moment to revel in the mere fact that someone loved her enough to miss her in contrast to what her mother instilled into her this past year. Her connections weren't completely useless, there was at least something there.. something she could use to wiggle into.[break][break]

"I think I've always known you were Rocket. I just refused to believe it."[break][break]

It was complicated, even the warmth of his hand almost felt foreign from the uneasy understanding that was growing between them both, making her even question the root of their relationship. Did they ever see eye to eye? No, he choose to close his eyes and she choose to put up a wall. How could anyone truly connect with one another that way? Even still she found herself seeking whatever familiarity came from him, just to bask in whatever small piece of warmth and kindness she grew to love from him.[break][break]

Then he asked why.[break][break]

Why has always been the question, but is there really an answer to something that just is. She took a second to really think it over, to find some way to fully help him understand her situation-- to really understand her. [break][break]

"Why are you a prince? Or your hair is black?" Redundant questions, but ones that made her point. "I was born a Rocket, but you weren't. Why did you become a Rocket? And.." Plenty of questions and thoughts flooded her head as she trailed off. She wondered what grunt Remi was like, how he climbed his way to Admin. What friends he made, what connections he formed. Then truly, what happened that made him abandoned them all, an intruder to league.[break][break]

All she needed to do was just ask, but even as she tried her best to hide it in her face, Naia's heart was beating fast and it was becoming a bit harder to breath. Was this anger? Confusion? Sadness? Perhaps she was projecting all of her resentment to every person who left her onto him, but it made sense. He was the only one who would ever be able to answer her question. [break][break]

Naia this time decided to tilt her head upwards, still choosing to keep her head to rest on his shoulder as she'd do her best to look up at his face. "And why did you choose to abandon your family?" There was the smallest hint of venom in those words, even though she never met him as a rocket, she couldn't help but empathize. She wanted to face this head on, she wanted to see what face he'd make.[break][break]

She wanted to see who he is.
