After a solid stint of depression naps and feeling lost, Lam's advice to pursue a deity representing victory is a guiding light in a storm. She'd confessed she really needed a win after all the losses lately, and this was just the insane, far-fetched project to keep her active without thinking about how her world had irreparably from Sootopolis. Robin scurried in and took a seat, taking in the office. All of the people way about her in the League were such professionals, but she appreciated the bit of fun in the office with the plush chairs. "Ah, the usual. Ghosts asking for my autograph and all that." Her grin is cheeky. She's been making more time lately for visits to the Border, but it's been stranger than usual. She's been losing track of time when she's there. [break][break]

Just a small detail, though, so she doesn't mention it. "I came by to talk to you about something I've been learning about recently. You're familiar with Victini, right?" She fidgets with her fingers. It's unclear how secretive his state is, and there's no doubt that Illeana has clearance to know whatever the League knows about him, but she's not so sure she's allowed to know about it.

Illeana humors more than Robin could have ever asked for. It feels like the stars are aligning for her to find so many people, through a network of phone texts and hearsay, who have knowledge of or an interest in Victini. "I want to know if its possible." Her eyes glitter with conspiratorial excitement. "Possible to bring him back, I mean." [break][break]

She's all movement, foot tapping against the ground and her hands patting her knees lightly. "I've seen him at the Border. And I have this thing with ghosts, like this connection, and I feel it the most at the Border. I think - I think if it's possible, I can help bring his spirit back to our plane." She doesn't know the details, but she has the dream, and that's all she needs. That, and the help of others. freya morningstar had instilled in her the importance of community and asking for help, and she wasn't going to waste the lesson.

Robin hears the somber tone of Illeana, one that warns her away from getting her expectations too high, but she's an optimist by nature. This feels like another piece of evidence that she's on the Path. Where it will lead, she cannot say, but after finding Omen in Sootopolis, it seems like the stars have aligned for her. Her purpose might just be this resurrection. It might be what comes after. She's eager to find out. [break][break]

"Finding soul pieces," she echoes thoughtfully. "I think I can manage that. I'll get those pieces. We'll make it happen, yeah? It'll be just as awesome as that space stuff you did in Sea Mauville." She wiggles her fingers for emphasis, though she should really stop reminding the scientist of the unfortunate Palossand incident if she wants to look good during this conversation. [break][break]

She does her best to look serious. "I imagine this will be a top secret affair. Still, I talked to a few people to learn about the deity before coming to you about it: Lam Logan, that Museum Director Gideon, and Caleb Harcourt." She leaves off the name of the guy she accidentally texted as a number neighbor to Caleb. "Oh, and Ollie." She flinches a little, hoping the list doesn't hurt her chances of continued support. "Is there anyone else to rope in, or is this a good crew for the mission?"

Robin fights the urge to explode out of the chair and perform an excellent but poorly-coordinated happy dance. This is what she's been looking for since Sootopolis: a win. She needs it, desperately. Her life lately has been a series of losses - particularly against Rocket, but the gym battle DQ with Josh Devlin and the loss from Hyakkaryōran Tsubaki have continued to highlight her shortcomings. "They'll be down," she confirms. "We've got good firepower to find Victini." More than enough, she's sure of it. Omen's by her side, and she can't lose now. He's the milestone to mark the beginning of a long overdue winning streak. [break][break]

Where to start is a great question. "The Border," she answers immediately. "I've seen the Vestigial Victini spirit there. I think the shard is actually somewhere inside, but it's not easily encountered. But there's something there for us, I just know it." Her heightened senses in the Border make it impossible to believe anything else could be true. "If you're ready for this project, then I am, too." The others will follow, of course. It's Fated.
