She wipes her face of sweat, throwing her hand to her side to let the sweat hit the ground as she looks to the road. Rustboro is this way. She already fought one close to Oldale, and Shale took a considerable amount of damage. As did she.[break][break]

But she's still breathing. Which means she can still fight this war.[break][break]

On the ground, having wrapped herself up with bandages best she could, she gets back to her feet, behind her the green gecko stands tall, leaf blades drawn as she walks on. Sherwood readied herself to protect at every moment. Genny was on her last legs in Sootopolis, and hasn't recovered.[break][break]

War...was never easy. It meant making sacrifices. Suffering through hell. Putting ones life at risk for one's beliefs. But above all else, war was cruel. War didn't allow you to catch your breath. It would relentlessly pursue you like a vengeful demon from hell. It didn't care about how you felt or what bad cards you'd been just dealt. War wreaked havoc indiscriminately.

[break][break] As such, perhaps it was destined that the two would meet again. After all, the region was only so big. But after a year or so from their first encounter, and more than half a year since their casual reunion that only Tori remembered, it would seem they were right back where they had started.

[break][break] Patrols were to be carried out regularly with the armistice between factions having gone up in smoke. In order to protect what was newly theirs, Rocket was pulling out all the stops with this one. Which meant, Tori had her hands full running around everywhere. But she didn't mind, this was what she was made for after all.

[break][break] "Well...if it isn't little ginger snap." Tori saw that familiar mop of orange first before she even saw her. Osiris had alerted her of a presence nearby and he was right. "You miss me?" She asked as she flashed a grin at the girl.

[break][break] She knew she was digging up old wounds but...it was just so much fun when her opponent was this cute. A year ago she had been unbelievably dull which resulted in her, and her pokemon paying a heavy price. That was just the precursor though, this was the real war and Tori could tell that they had both grown since then.

[break][break] With that being said, perhaps ginger snap could keep her entertained this time. Tori was itching to find out. "Listen~" she teased with her hands on her hip. "Out of respect for a...dear friend. I'll give you one chance to turn around. You don't belong here." she said as violet hues narrowed on her amber ones. "You're out of your league."

The LEAF BLADES come out immediately towards the woman's voice, as the Sceptile bears her blades, but a quick turn of Sherwood's head to Genny, shows her that the girl was reliving the last fight in Dewford. The familiarity in her tone, and familiar tone was panic-inducing. But![break][break]

'Serenity...' she grits her teeth, shaking. She was aiming to find one of three Rockets, but not this soon. She's trembling. This was the perfect place to avenge Serenity, but her body is so weak right now. If only she listened. All she can do now is fight back, verbally, and let Sherwood take point.[break][break]

"Lucky for me then," she boasted a big game. "-I'm on vacation from the League. This one's personal." Can she back it up?[break][break]

As she grabs towards her earring Mega Stone, she certainly hoped so. When Sherwood rushes out, engulfed in light, her Mega Form exuded from her very body, and she races towards Osiris, her pine-tree-esque tail exploding into a barrage of sharp bark-like scales, in a SCALE SHOT.[break][break]

If that last Rocket made her feel like this was a mistake, the woman before her only multiplied that feeling tenfold.
