Ah, League interception. [break][break]

The League would never tire of its old song and dance. They couldn't wrap their minds around how futile it was to struggle. Howard's response was overkill, and Ameena got the distinct impression that Makoto didn't care for the unnecessary violence. They were very level-headed in that way. [break][break]

Ameena, for her part, just wanted the most efficient route to returning to work. She had little interest in watching Howard drink himself to death. His second flask didn't go unnoticed, but it wasn't a battle she could pick over the one in front of her. "Help convince them to run away," she instructed Larvesta. The bug used screech to make it difficult for the Leaguers to focus on drawing pokemon or be able to audibly order them around -- all signs of a losing battle against some Rockets and a rock giant.

BOOM! An explosion caused a mushroom cloud of sand to reach up and scrape against the hollow dome of this world. Howard peered at it, before hissing in annoyance as the wind began to pick up, blowing it towards them.

"Damn." The drunkard slipped away, leaving the wandering archaeologist who had spent almost a decade roaming the deserts of the world in search of some greater truth. More than most in Team Rocket, the admin was intimately familiar with sandstorms. More than most, given that Johto and Galar weren't known for their vast, scorching plains.

"Get down, you two." Howard shouted, his hat flapping in the wind as a wall of sand pushed up by the massive attack blew towards them. Grabbing Makoto's shoulders, he pushed them into the septic tank's pit. "Ameena!"

The illustrious Crumble appeared with a flash, its multiple eyes reduced to flat lines as it erected a wall of psychic power to stall the sand for a few moments.

"Hurry!"

As the League Officers are sent packing, Makoto initially is willing to let the explosion - likely from Regirock's attack - pass scrutiny, as they simply sat back with an exhale. Between the hard work and then the stress of this surprise battle, they were ready to allow themself a moment of peace...

... Though, that moment is suddenly shattered when Howard is shoving them down. Makoto yelps a little - but it's hard to argue when they're able to take note of the rushing of the wind and sand..!

Following Howard's instruction, they duck down into the pit - taking a second to switch out their pokemon, for their Crobat. "Defog!"

At their call, Nobusuma lets loose a burst of wind of his own, all to help ward off the coming sandstorm rushing their way, and give Ameena a chance to take shelter.

Ameena could tolerate uncomfortable conditions for long periods because of her sniper training, but how many lifetimes ago had that been, truly? [break][break]

The whipping winds of abrasive sands would force a disgusted curl of her lip if such a response didn't risk chewing on grains of sand for the next week. Instead, she heeded Howard's warning and focused on surviving the weather moreso than ensuring their assailants fell back properly. She tucked in low to avoid the worst of it, but neither of her current partners were well-equipped to handle this weather. She could hear Capsakid's frustrated cries as the sandstorm inevitable filled in some of the excavation work they'd done and rubbed their skin raw. [break][break]

"Should have set up a castform as a guard," she said more to herself than the others. Short-sightedness would cost them progress on this project, though Ameena bristled less as Makoto took action to defog.
