The sunlight was fading. Shadows slowly gathered and pooled in all corners of the forest like a foreboding flood. Perhaps it would have been in Remiel's best interests to be a little quieter as he traveled through the forest at a brisk pace. But that's not what he'd come here for.

The snap of a branch startles a Woobat that had been napping inside the hole of a tree. It snorts and flaps its wings erratically in an effort to get away as fast as possible. Remiel's sees it as a furry blob of blue through the leaves before it ascends past them and disappears into the night.

An Eevee anticipates his arrival as he travels beneath a canopy of leaves. It leaps down from the trees with a surprising Double Kick, striking Remiel in the chest twice before he manages to reach back for his weapon. He stumbles backward in a stagger, but doesn't fall off of his feet.

Shocked and, quite frankly, a little pissed off, the Galarian noble grabs the hilt of his Honedge before swiftly diving forward with a stab. The Eevee attempts to evade by scampering backwards, but Taliyah takes note of this. Propelling itself forward with an Iron Head, just enough to finish what Remy started, the ambusher is struck down. They move on afterwards. It's not worth the waste of a safari ball.

A wild Budew crossed his path. Or, more accurately, blocked his path with a cloud of orange pollen as it walked around in circles. Even from afar, Remiel could tell inhaling that pollen would lead towards temporary paralyzation. He didn't care for that.

So, drawing out his Honedge, he turned towards a detour and cut away the bushes and branches in his way. Going the long way around was better than having to deal with potential paralysis. Though he had half a mind to summon another pokémon and blow it away.

When an Applin fell from a tree above, the royal swordsman was quick to draw Honedge and slice its apple in half. Through some miracle, the wyrm within wasn't cut apart. But, when it landed on the ground below with its apple in pieces, it was quick to slink into the shadows and disappear.

Remiel had only managed a glance at the creature outside of its apple. But not enough to form an accurate depiction of what it truly looked like. Regardless, he didn't stop moving and placed Honedge back on his back as the last traces of daylight left the sky.

The cat had predicted something terrible happening today in a vision. For that reason, it had stayed cooped up within its home in the dead tree the whole day. But hunger awoke it. And it needed to venture out to look for some berries before it starved.

So, cautiously, the cat emerged. Looking both ways, and with its ears on alert, it crawled out from the hole and dropped down onto the forest grass below. Within seconds, it scampered towards a nearby bush and started foraging for berries. Then, a racket of noise. A human was approaching! This was the misfortune it had predicted!

Swiftly, it bolted away. Then ran into a tree by accident and knocked itself unconscious. As Remiel passed, he hardly spared it a glance before continuing.

Without warning, it suddenly became difficult to run or even walk. Remiel staggered as he tried to move forward, but his legs— nay, his entire body— felt like a ton of bricks. His sharp blue-grey eyes caught sight of the culprit behind this intense Gravity, however: a Chansey staring at him from the bushes nearby. She appeared disgruntled; angered by his treatment of her forest friends.

Though he struggled to raise his hand and point at the pink beast, Remiel managed to do so just before the gravity brought him to his knees. "Ngh... Taliyah, Autotomize then Sacred Sword!" He commanded, sending the possessed blade to strike down the otherwise weak Pokémon. When the did was done in a flash and he was released from the unnatural gravitational pull, Remiel decided to draw out a safari ball and toss it at the unconscious Chansey. Despite her trying to crush him beneath all that pressure, she had showed resolve.
