It did not take them long to run into a swarm of magnemites and they were nowhere close to the generators. Add on top of that the steel types not looking so pleased to have intruders in their home and they were off to a great start.

”Sheesh so many of them already?!” Thinking about it, this number of magnemties wasn’t that much of a surprise but Eva was already regretting not just letting a bunch of grunts take care of this crap.

”Alright let’s clear them out. Don’t waste too much energy, there will probably be more the deeper we go.” And probably stronger Pokémon as well.

She used her own two fire types to start clearing them out. Their aim was to just disperse the Pokémon and as such her Pokémon’s attack weren’t particularly being aimed at anyone magnemite but just near them to spook them off. But if some were caught she wouldn’t really care.

Absolutely fantastic! A Magnezone appearing was just what they needed to make what should be just a simple job into something much more annoying.

Though this could explain why there were so many of the little ones about but alas they weren’t here to figure out why they’re here but to just get rid of them and Eva was more than happy to comply with that order.

Up until this point all the Rocket members were doing was trying to scare the steel types off but with this big one taking it out would probably be the quickest way of handling it.

”Back our friend up.” One of her fire types stopped what they were doing and changed targets to the Magnezone and firing off a flamethrower attack of their own. And of course, things couldn’t be this simple and another one had to appear, forcing Eva to stop her other Pokémon and engage this new appearance.

Her other Pokémon would be more than enough to deal with the Magnezone there was still the issue of all the other Magnemite that were still floating about. Eva released her Gardevoir to send psychic waves throughout the area to get the magnets to bugger off.

With their attention being split between so many things they’d have to remember not to allow themselves to get surrounded and overwhelmed by the Magnemites. The appearance of their evolved form made them much more willing to fight.

With Eva’s Gardevoir focusing on the little ones her two fire types could focus on the Magnezone that was a real pain in the ass. The scientist looked over to Gavin, making sure he was handling his own and wasn’t being overwhelmed. Seeing that he was doing fine put the woman’s mind at ease, she could cut loose a bit more.

”Ifrit clear a path for Soliel, use flamethrower. Soliel use Heat Wave.” Eva ordered which her Pokémon did quickly. The flamethrower made way for the Volcarona to get in the midst of the steel enemies and release her attack, the flames leaving her body in a beautiful eruption that consumed the surrounding magnemite and magnezone.

And it was enough to get the job done, with the remaining magnet Pokémon running away. Good, they can get the hell out of here. Eva would order her Pokémon to assist Gavin, though it looked like the man would be able to pull himself through it.

Had it not been for Gavin’s swift response he might be down a shadow Pokémon right now. Eva did not take kindly in one losing control but given that nothing really came of it she let it pass for now.

This did however make her hope that they weren’t handing any of these out to idiots who had no right handling them. Last thing they needed was for a job to go awry because someone couldn’t handle their Pokémon.

Now with the defeat of the Magnezones and with the clearing out of most of the magnemites the stragglers took note of their standins and decided to disperse as well.

With a job well done, there was no point in sticking around here anymore. ”Good job.” Eva returned her Pokémon back to their capsules.


”That should be enough for the plans to keep moving forward, the pest shouldn’t be coming back. So let’s get out of here.” The rocket scientist would leave, their job here was done.
