Once again, luck is on Stormy's side. However, instead of Charizard finding her another addition to the ever-growing dragon family, she stumbles upon their newest addition herself.[break][break]

Or rather, her female Charmander does. [break][break]

While both hers and Wadjet's back is turned, the young Charmander disappears down a path all her own. Panic would sap at Stormy's strength a moment when she realises the youngling is missing, but would be quickly relieved to find her, and to find her with another Charmander.[break][break]

It appears she has befriended her own companion, despite the terrible scary face he attempts to make. The female's overbearing personality trumps his more reserved and grumpy one, and he's too overwhelmed to even bother dragon rushing away.[break][break]

It appears the female is smitten and won't take no for an answer. As such, Stormy quickly makes time to capture the grouchy baby and tuck him away, all while scooping the female back up into her arms.[break][break]

The Pokemon responsible for her Charmander's injuries finally shows her ugly face. There's a rage in her belly, or her sheath, and she comes hunting. There's burn marks and melted steel that drip down the length of her blade. She hadn't escaped without her own injuries.[break][break]

Stormy makes the educated decision to bring all of her Charmander back into their pokeballs before the Honedge could pick a new target. The sword shies away immediately from the looming and intimidating presence of Wadjet, who puffs smoke in the wild Pokemon's direction.[break][break]

That's all it takes to convince the sword to move along.[break][break]

For a long time after, there is no new evidence of Charmander. It seems they had gone into hiding, or were considerably far away from her current position.[break][break]

In her search, Stormy stumbles upon a set of fresh footprints that trail through the light layer of snow, onto the damp grass, through a mud puddle, and then back along the dirt path.[break][break]

Curious, the woman follows it for some time, despite Wadjet's disinterest in the matter. They had more important things to worry about, didn't they?[break][break]

When Stormy finally catches a glimpse of what it is she's pursuing, she finds herself momentarily blinded by intrigue.[break][break]

"Hey, isn't that a--"[break][break]

But before she could finish her thought, the Galarian Farfetch'd turns on a whim, slams his giant leek down in a terrifying and dominant first impression, before promptly disappearing. [break][break]

The woman brushes dirt from her shirt and surprise from her face.[break][break]

"No, Farfetch'd are never that uptight. C'mon, let's go."[break][break]

The last Charmander she finds coughs. It's sickly and small, but she can see a great power in it. The DRAGON BREATH he conjures even despite his illness is remarkable, blowing away the bushes and even charring up the side of a tree. He has potential and she claims it as her own.[break][break]

The capture is quick and painless, he's too tiny to properly fight back with brute force. Her Pokemon are careful not to injure him - she doesn't want him afraid or reluctant later. He SLASHES out, catching her arm. Blood seeps from the shallow cuts thanks to her quick reflexes, but she soon manages to quiet him with some sort of bottled sleeping powder, or maybe a Pokemon of hers knew it.[break][break]

Regardless, the last Charmander she needs is caught and she promptly heads back. She has training to get to.[break][break]
