This was such a strange environment, Ruby honestly didn't quite know what to make of it. The giant metal castle in the distance reminded her of home quite a bit, but the giant cogwheels and fences certainly didn't blend in with the rest of the fantasy aesthetic the Ransei's region. Despite that, she needed to push through the strange sights and explore. There was loot to be found! With that said, however, Ruby was constantly on guard. In this area, anyone could attack her for any reason and she was doing her best to remain unseen.

Unfortunately, she didn't blend in well with the half-mechanical environment. Her cute little wings fluttered with excitement as she glanced about. Luckily, despite the seemingly tanky wild mobs in the area she wasn't having too much of a problem battling them just yet. Her grinding session was only beginning, and it was going to be a long time before she was quite satisfied. Blasting away with overwhelming uses of Psychic seemed to work on a few of the weaker, less tanky mobs, but she could only imagine that another player simply wouldn't fall for it... Right?

Togekill ran out from the closest bush, sword raised in both hands.

"RAGGLE FRAGGLE," she would type in chat because she lacked a microphone, rushing into the ensamble of people and attacking the mage--because mages had it coming, or something like that.

Instead of swinging her sword, she would chuck it at the poor girl. It was her version of anchor shot, because it would... uh, stab 'em and nail 'em in place.

Or some bullshit.

he wasn't sure how he got roped into this, but somehow he did.

kyle steadies his bow, trying to support the attack that his boss makes with a fail safe. his paycheck depends on this attack on whether it hits or not. electricity cackles as the tip of the bow coats itself with static.

Now, this just simply felt like a run of bad luck. Three attackers came at her from almost nowhere, all at once. Were they working together? It didn't seem to matter all that much, all that mattered is that she was a target and was going to have to do something about it. As the Zap Cannon struck her body, Ruby yelped out despite the Ice Scales protecting her from a good portion of the actual damage done despite the lingering electricity running through her body. However, the moment she saw the massive armored figure heading her way Ruby knew what she had to do to protect herself.

Suddenly turning around and hunching over to protect her head she activated her Shell Trap. The sword and the arrow slammed into her body dealing a decent amount of damage combined, only for the trap to suddenly become activated. Flame-like spikes appeared on her back as they suddenly burst out in an incredible strength against the entire countryside, lighting any flora that happened to be in the way on fire from the sheer offensive power of the move.

AttacK: 2W_c7XrB REPLACING WITH MAGE ROLL, 46.

Paralyze Resist:

Notes: Takes the damage, although Zap Cannon is weakened by Ice Scales. Retaliates from the physical blows with Shell Trap, the fire type move attacking all foes. 1-25 means she's paralyzed. Used Mage Roll, roll ability to change the 2 to 46.

It causes him to fumble momentarily before he picks himself up, crouched and wrapping his fingers around the handle of his gun. The fire spreads and he backs up accordingly, escaping the brunt of the flames and eternally thankful he chose a ranged class over something melee eccentric.

With his other hand, he pulls out his second pistol and fires a different bullet. This one explodes once it reaches the vicinity of his target, unleashing a terrible sound that'll leave them dazed and CONFUSED. It'll hurt too.

This was a video game, there was no such thing as pain.

Togekill does not flinch, but she does recoil. The black-clad knight would use accelerock to bring her back out of range of the flames. This was why she hated mages--damn fire-type moves. She had already been one-shotted by several mages earlier... but they were probably a bunch of doritos-stained nerds that were overleveled.

Or maybe they hacked--fucking tryhards.

She was just doing this for fun.

despite being way away from the explosion with his long reach, he keeps himself situated behind bailey's character to use her as a meat shield, cause that's what her role was in this fight.

he charges his bolt beak as soon as the shell trap goes off. it is a quick shot, but the force from the strike remains unchanged since the video game world does not respect the laws of physics as long as there are no physics mechanics tied to it.

from behind _togekill_, the bolt beak arrow flies towards the mage.

Ruby was so sure that her trap would at least hurt somebody, but it seemed the massive knight had some tricks up their sleeve as they moved faster than Ruby predicted! However, she had larger things to worry about. Such as the sudden terrible sound echoing through her head, fogging up her thoughts and making it difficult to think. It was already hard enough to move, now thinking was a pain? Her eyes glanced over trying to find the source, eyes narrowing. A couple of rangers, of course. She was a sitting duck here!

As the other ranger fired an electrically charged arrow, Ruby had no choice but to attempt to dodge out of the way. She couldn't take so many physical attacks at once, it would overwhelm her... Or would it? Her mind still cloudy and rife with indecision, she struggled to convince herself to hopefully dodge out of the way, and even then if she worked past the mental fog, would her body even move? It was the only thing she could do.

She grasped her discarded sword from the ground, leveling it with the sight of the mage. There was no sympathy, because this was a video game. There was no sympathy, because Bailey Cooper thought there was something oddly fun about being a jackass.

if the attack was dodged, the only solution was to attack again. there was no point in complaining about game mechanics. he misses the times when mmo's either have their skills be targetted or aoe.

kyle keeps his distance. he is wary that mages have long ranged moves and keeps bailey's avatar in between her and him, using her as a meat shield in case things get awry. he doubts he's the most threatening out of the three to warrant being focused, however.

he charges another bolt beak. she can keep dodging, but kyle has as much arrows in his inventory as he has patience trying to snipe down a player for the kill. the quota of players they have to kill as a party comes to mind. he wants the bonus for his salary.

There wasn't much more Ruby could seemingly do at this point to survive. She was trapped between a rock and a metaphorical hard place. Three attacks coming from three different angles, each one becoming harder and harder to handle than the first. Despite resisting the special attack blow of the Air Slash and Ruby preparing for the sword blow, it was too much to resist. Any attempt to cast Shell Trap again had failed as she was quickly perished by the sword swing. Her digital body fading away, leaving just standard loot behind for the players who had slain her.

Somewhere, far off back in the Kingdom's entrance, Ruby was frowning to herself. Just what kind of names were those two rangers anyways? One she couldn't read and the other like someone had a sticky keyboard. How absolutely unfun... See if she ever let that happen to herself again.

Notes: Ruby perishes, unable to take the combined blows any longer.

Fernando points toward the system's kill confirmation and note the increased experience and loot. It doesn't take anything from another player unless they happen to exceed the bare item count but the game makes sure to account for that by spawning random 'rare' items. "Tiny little gal was worth a lot for how easy she went down. This is easily about an hour of grinding. For what? A minute of work?"
