Stormy had insisted they stay just a little bit longer in the Ignis kingdom. The warmth of the virtual atmosphere was nearly intoxicating, reminding her of her home back in Lavaridge. They had already cleared the mobs from outside the safety of the kingdom, so they hadn't had any other reason to linger. [break][break]

"Just a few minutes longer, please?"[break][break]

Her hand grabs hold of Kazimir's bicep, tugging him back - not that she had anywhere near enough strength to stop him. The man was a literal tiger-man.[break][break]

But then her attention snaps to a big red 'ALERT' that appeared just outside the kingdom's walls. Skimming the dialogue and the voice-alerts, she quickly deduces that the situation is dire and some sort of immensely powerful boss is breaking down the doors of Ignis. [break][break]

"Isn't this a non-pvp area? Why is such a strong boss all the way out here? That doesn't sound right at all."[break][break]

Whatever previous inhibitions she had about leaving Ignis were evaporated as she took off down the main path of the city. She was heading straight for the front gates to get a better look at this boss.[break][break]

"Come on! Let's kick this thing's ass, Kaz!"

"prolly as a challenge to people that don't wander out there!" the tiger yelled as he raced ahead of the mage from behind her. be it his own physical condition of his real self or his avatar's self or just a function in the game he managed to beat stormy to being able to get the first look at this boss. "is that a..."

sure enough there it was, flying around and screeching with all three of its heads as a Hydreigon seemed to be their quarry for the day. "whoa...ok that is some high level stuff. but shouldn't be a prob for the best team in this game! back me up Weather Girl!" a slip of the tongue perhaps as he referred to stormy as her username while he charged up his attack in his paws.

"eat this ya overgrown salamander!" he roared out as his aura sphere was released and slammed into the dragon bringing it down to the ground and landing on its side.

Fair. He had a point.[break][break]

Stormy gasps in irritation as he outruns her easily, and she hazards a glance at her much shorter legs and scowls. She really hated being a mage. Surely she had chosen the wrong class.[break][break]

But she does eventually join him at the gates, taking a moment to catch her breath. Was that normal to be out of breath in the virtual world?[break][break]

She leans a hand on his back before pulling herself back up to her full height, blinking slowly as she stares up into the eyes of an angry Hydreigon. Kazimir's confidence boosts her ego and her energy. Yes, yes they were the best team in the game. [break][break]

"Don't worry, I've got ya!"[break][break]

He fires off an aura sphere into the Hydreigon's side. It falls to the ground and she immediately twirls her wand, ice crystalizing at it's tip. The freeze-dry hits its target without a hitch considering the Pokemon's downed state. The ice-type attack leaves chunks of crystal on the dragon's wings, but due to Stormy's sheer force ability, it doesn't actually freeze the opponent.[break][break]

there are sparkles in the brawler's eyes as he watches the spell of ice encase and ravage the dragon's body. wow were mages so cool! if he had the option to reroll his class he would probably go mage or at least put it at the top of his list. but now was not the time to fantasize about what could have been, now was the time to show that he wasn't a slouch as a gamer as well. "right ma'm!"

while stormy had the luxury of staying a few feet away from targets kaz needed to rush in to get a bit closer, something that he didn't mind as he charged in. he drew his fist back and light began to swirl around it, and swirl some more, and more, and more and more until it began a whirlwind of energy as he jumped up and and aimed to slam down his fist into one of the dragon's heads.

"TIGRE DRILL BREAKAAAAAAH!" for a split moment the energy formed what looked like a drill around his fist as it bore down into the head of the pokemon and it exploded into pixels. the tiger man let out a rather bloodthirsty laugh before being smacked away by the other heads of the dragon sending him rolling to stormy's feet. "ok...that is a tough beast..."

Stormy is astonished to see how readily Kazimir runs into danger. Of course, she's not exactly surprised, she supposed, more impressed. Even more so when his fist begins to glow with power and turns into a drill as he slams into the side of the downed Hydreigon.[break][break]

One of the dragon's heads disappears in a flurry of pixels, greatly depleting the monster's health bar. But it comes back with a vengeance, knocking Kazimir to the side. Stormy side-steps the tiger-man as he comes to a rolling stop at her feet. She kneels down to offer him a hand up, but there's a determined grin on her face.[break][break]

"The tougher they are, the better drops they give. C'mon, Yiffgod, let's kill this bastard!"[break][break]

She then hunkers down for a moment, eyes closed as she begins to CALM HER MIND in preparation for her next attack. But the Hydreigon has already gotten to its feet and has started to rush Stormy in her vulnerable and undefended state!

he takes stormy's hand and nearly jumps back onto his feet as he glares at the two headed dragon with his own determined smile. "hell yeah!" was his only words that he could offer joining stormy as the two made their move. already stormy looked like she was ready to charge up some kind of super attack, in that case kaz knew he needed to draw the aggro onto himm.

"c'mon ya big lizard! over here!" he wasn't sure that it could actually hear him. it was just some npc in a video game. still it was nice to just shout at it, but shouting wasn't going to do much. he needed to actually get its attention. so an aura sphere shot out from his hands to hit the dragon square in the chest as it turned its heads towards him and gave chase after the tiger. "c'mon and get some pussy ya scalie bastard!"

The mage's eyebrows furrow together as she concentrates, but also because of the twitch of fear of being eaten because she isn't watching the Hydreigon. Thankfully, it seems that her brawler counter-part is capable and willing to take the aggro, drawing the boss's attention back to him so she would remain unscathed.[break][break]

The AURA SPHERE slams the Hydreigon, jarring it out of its rage and redirecting its attention back to Kazimir. Stormy, meanwhile, has finished her CALM MIND and prepares another, stronger blast of FREEZE-DRY. Her wand nearly trembles with the intensity of the spell, and it blasts from the tip with ferocity. She takes a step back, gasping.[break][break]

When it lands, it explodes against the side of the boss, knocking him back to the ground. It's gasping, remaining heads squealing. [break][break]

"Now's our shot!"

the ice clung to the dragon's side causing it to fall on its side and leave itself wide open for the pair to finish it off. "so let's make it count then!" kaz agreed as he charged up yet another aura sphere in his paws and let it loose on the boss. it roared in pain as the attack managed to strike another head on the boss, causing it to explode into pixels yet again like the other one had before. the health bar above the boss started to go down until a sliver of red was left on the bar, it was almost dead!

"hey storms! i got an idea! let's have a bet. first person to actually score the last hit on this thing gets all the loot it drops! bet i'm faster than ya!" a small wager between friends. wasn't that grand?

Stormy feels energized at Kazimir's shout. The aid of her CALM MIND from earlier has boosted her attack and her defences, if even by a slight amount. She watches with bated breath as the Hydreigon's second head explodes. [break][break]

One left.[break][break]

One shot left.[break][break]

And then Kazimir distracts her for just a moment as he comes up with the brilliant idea to place a bet. She grins, eyes narrowed in determination and confidence. [break][break]

"I'm all in, Kaz!"[break][break]

She channels her last round of FREEZE-DRY, blasting it at full force on the target. But would it make it before Kazimir could speed-rush the beast?
