it was their first time meeting again after fernando has earned the title of the king, claiming pugilis as his own kingdom. it was a neat quirk of the game, although he wonders what will happen if the king decides to drop the game.

"so, what are you gonna do with your new title? can you even do anything with it?"

the game was new. there were no guides about what happens when someone has the status. everything afterwards was uncharted territory and kyle was curious to the extents of what the newfound power entails the already power hungry councilman.

His crown is nestled neatly on his head. It doesn't move of swivel at his movement. It just sits there idle, glimmering when the artificial sunlight hits it just right. "NPCs in Pugilis recognize me as their KING. I also get some extra graphical effects but I don't care about that."

He's yet to test the extent of the buffs but he remembers the tool tip quite well.

"They claim that my attacks are more powerful when parrying or countering. Also I should have an accuracy buff as well. Somethign about the KING overrules all. I also get a buff in Pugilis but I've yet to test it."

an electric-type attack flies to the xatu who made the sudden appearance. it dies, like every other mob in the game he faces.

"that sounds like a pain. changes in npc behavior throw me off cause they make me think like i cheated the game or something. that happened sometimes on pirated games and..."

kyle is ashamed to confess that he pirated games as a kid when his parents didn't want him buying games that were deemed too violent.

Fernando sets an ELECTRIC TERRAIN the moment he detects an enemy. It amplifies Kyle's attack as well as his own. The subsequent ZAP CANNON one shots the mob as well. So much for a challenge. Guess the game's shelf life for PVE content is coming to a close.

"Not yet. I plan to but there's little rewards in doing so."

He lies because the thread isn't finished and that'd also mean Fernando admitting to dying to Katherine previously. Although he doesn't mind letting the others know that he died, he refuses to name to who.

it's nice to note that fernando has a supportive move that benefits both of them. then again, he always envisioned him as a more selfish player and it was merely coincidence that kyle gets a benefit from it too, with his main damaging move being electric.

speaking of which...

"oh yeah. i got this thing"

he pulls out a shotgun and points it at a swellow. icicle crash destroys the bird since it's only common sense that mobs don't deserve more than a paragraph of them living, especially if they're just normal mobs.

"got any cool stuff, or are you stuck with that air slash gun?"

Fernando eyes the weapon with envy but at least he's come to realize how the drops work. Multiple players have been reporting these weapons as well as characters that can use moves that extend past their elemental boundaries. Annie Mei mentions the Brawler that used FREEZE DRY and Fernando puts one and one together.

"You didn't happen to get it from killing some kind of ice Pokemon?"

Whatever. Destruction ice is also great but electricity is what tears the Swellow apart.

Fernando over farms just in case the shitty ass players fail but also to help Kyle: his only friend.

"yeah. killed a mega aboma for this. at least it's weak to something i have for coverage."

he tries it out again at a zubat, killing it instantly.

"the megas don't seem that scary though. i guess it's because i already stacked some levels. do you think they'll release harder pve content?"

raid events would be nice, but he wasn't sure how nice it would be if he was to work with people who just leech from stronger players and don't contribute to the overall damage of the boss.

A preliminary observation but one worth investigating. Based off the types in-game, fighting and ice tend to be the most effective. Time to look toward his KINGDOM.

Fernando's ZAP CANNON accomplishes the same feat of one-shotting the Zubat and they're both left with their drops.

"Probably. Games new so maybe not any time soon but end-game has been pretty easy so far."
