The demon only needed a couple more horns left in order to enter the bosses domain. If he could the amount he needed, he would be set to face the boss. He expected that it would be challenging to fight, and so here he was still collecting the necessary loot to fight the boss. He had confidence in his prowess and was already ready in that regard. The demon had heard footsteps approaching, and had turned to face the person who was approaching him. Luckily, this was a non-PK Zone, so killing someone here was out of the question. However, if they truly sought a death wish, he would surely oblige and give it to them. They would probably regret ever crossing his path too, but that did not matter to him. What mattered was fighting the boss. [break][break]

kyle held the advantage against the mobs surrounding the city of fontaine and it has become his favorite hangout spot for when he wants to do casual grinding without having to sometimes double tap his targets because they weren't hit with super effective damage.

he walks to his favorite spot and finds someone else has beaten him to it. kyle stands still, unsure on how to proceed. part of him contemplates on looking for another place to kill mobs on his own. the other is too lazy to move away from the location.

Alec faces the voice that was familiar. "So, it's you again." The demon's new voice rung out. "Well, lets get this show on the road," the Demon had said, and that was when a Blastoise came hurdling at him with a powerful Rapid Spin. The demon quickly put a King's Shield to not only prevent him receiving any damage, but he also had given the Blastoise an ATK Debuff. [break][break]

The Demon had then silently shot out a Freeze Dry at the Blastoise as a counter. With it being a water type, the Freeze Dry had caused more Damage to the Blastoise. With that, the Demon had given the Ranger enough time to deliver an attack of his own to the the already Weakened Blastoise. "These pieces of trash are why I want to fight the boss."[break][break]

maybe it was another player using his face as an avatar, but kyle can't help but be amused with the contrast between the alec he knows and this alec. he tries to hide it, but it manifest with a slight smile.

"yeah, the game gets pretty stale once you reach the higher levels."

kyle finishes the blastoise off with a bolt beak, though it wasn't like the supereffective damage is needed to knock it out. killing mobs in this game has become trivial and it basically devolves the game to a grind fest or a social community, whichever the player prefers it to be.

that was the least of his worries however, and kyle has his attention somewhere else.

"just curious, are you really the gym leader or are you just a fan? i know someone who used the face of an elite four member in this game."

In fact, there seemed to be no emotion from the Demon's voice, however the words projected straight from the real person, who had the emotion behind it. with the offer being given to him, kyle shoots a bolt beak that decimates the target. it explodes into pixels, giving them experience and loot from it, no matter how minimal they are given their levels.

"in a way. seventeen is pretty young to be a gym leader after all. just curious, are you currently taking high school?"

their last meeting was cut short, leaving him with no window to ask the question. he may leave again soon after the grind session, so he squeezes in things he wanted to know out of curiosity instead of necessity.

"maybe i was also a challenger of yours before too. maybe." he adds the second 'maybe', trying to keep his identity hidden within the internet. someone has guessed it once before, and he wasn't sure how much of himself leaks from his actions and mannerisms that it gives him away.

people always said he was kinda plain though, so maybe it helps.
