Stormy's footsteps are muted as she wades through ankle-deep grass. Petalburg woods remains quiet and eerie, as usual, often giving the poor woman goosebumps. Low-hanging branches and leaves brush her skin and make her jump and startle, and she walks quietly with her Delphox, allowing the Pokemon to light the way with her wand.[break][break]

For now, however, it seemed that the area was quiet and unassuming. The only thing that could really creep her out were the bugs, and she knew that Delphox could take care of them just fine. [break][break]

"There's nothing to be scared of, Delphox, don't be silly."[break][break]

The dual-type glances at her trainer with a look of confusion because she isn't the least bit scared, so the accusation is odd.

The Leafeon they stumble upon appears and then disappears in an instant, like a ghost in the woods. Stormy sees it briefly, holding her breath as she waits for the beautiful leaves to reappear. It's as if the entire forest had taken a deep breath as well, holding it until the Leafeon darts across the path a second time.[break][break]

Stormy gasps as she points, a silent order for the Delphox to take down the Leafeon. The dual-type does as she's bid, chasing after the wild Pokemon and carefully aiming powerful fire-type attacks after it. But it appears they have their work cut out for them as the Leafeon continuously disappears and reappears just out of reach.[break][break]

It's only until Stormy releases a few of her Eevee that the Leafeon lingers close enough to capture. By luring it in with it's pre-evolutions, Stormy manages to get Delphox to knock it out. The woman releases a breath, lightheaded and successful as she scoops up the Leafeon's pokeball.[break][break]

"We will be back."[break][break]

Because, after all, this hadn't really been what she was looking for, but it was something she had been willing to step off the beaten path for.[break][break]
