the body count grows with every passing second because the league is too stubborn for their own good, much like . their resilience and will to fight back is admirable but foolish. they simply cannot stop this storm from overpowering them and it's taken them far too long to realize it. with the main entrance now blocked off, their only way of escape is by the sea.

silas is in command of the situation.

he's long recalled his metang in favor for a peculiar ghost-type that refuses to materialize until he's truly needed. through the thick of the overwhelming crowd of rocket and the few resisting league, silas slips through the crowd unnoticed until he's in a desirable position.

it doesn't take him long to find . he slowly approaches the scene, taking his time as his luxray INTIMIDATES the near vicinity. there are too many people in play but for him they all don't matter in the grand scheme of things. all that matters is the ship master.

"that was weak," he says to as he steps next to her. the disapproving tone in his voice is reflected through his expression. "don't bother trying." sympathy isn't given, not for his sister, not even for .

luxray's mane dances with jolts of electricity as he eyes down the dragalge that's wrapped around malcolm. he doesn't know who it belongs to but knows that there won't be a ship master around for much longer if it stays wrapped around him.

whistle.

leaping forward, luxray CRUNCHES down on draglage in an attempt to pry the poison-dragon off the ship master.

aya spares no time for quippy comments toward the pained , her attention elsewhere. it's on , his body drowning in the expanse of dragalge's scales as they coil tighter and tighter around him. she has a momentary misunderstanding: this is a capture attempt. and yet, the dragalge tightens its death grip even more, and a scowl paints itself on the woman's face. who is trying to ruin her moment in the sun?

her mouth opens but the words do not come as comes into view. she can practically feel his energy coming from behind her, the malice radiating from him as he attempts to rip the dragalge off with his luxray's vicious crunch. aya's power over the situation dissipates into grunthood with the arrival of her superior. she shows no signs of irritation, but only watches as silas commands everyone's attention with his mere presence. aya is powerless again, the grandiosity of her mission faltering.

she is reminded of 's presence when she realizes that malcolm is no longer hers to take. the vileplume and bellossom are hovering over their trainer; blood running down her back. she is vulnerable, defeated, powerless. she recalls the cofagrigus and brings the bayleef back out.

aya finds herself walking toward the two grass-type pokemon, her scyther, drapion, and bayleef in tow. "soma, stun spore on the dragalge." as they pass the struggling luxray and dragalge, the grass-type attempts to paralyze the draconic serpent with a dusting of the paralytic spore over its more exposed side.

she's standing over , the vileplume and bellossom perhaps too stunned to stop her right away, perhaps too scared of drapion as it stands over aya, blocking her and cait from the rest of the battle.

right here, aya has all the power over the green-haired girl. and yet, she is still powerless. rain batters both of them as a bout of silence comes between them. aya breaks it with soft spoken words. "believe it or not, you're lucky it's me standing here." her voice lacks the toxin that has plagued it all day, replaced with an urgent edge. "you can't save him now. maybe you should get up and run?" it comes out as advice, a warning of the stories she's heard.




- watches dragalge try to choke
- low-key pissed that showed up
- recalls cofagrigus and brings bayleef back out again
- feeling powerless
- tries to stun spore the dragalge
- walks over to with all her pokemon, drapion stands over her to block them from view
- for some reason urges her to try to escape
- really i personally want cait to run free so like feel free to just attack aya and get captured

Kyle knew not to underestimate the enemy regardless of whether he had him restrained or not, but the lingering worry about his friend remained. He left Foxtrot to guide the Rocket to him, leaving the Poochyena behind with @alt as he followed the lead of the other Dark-type to . Unfortunately for them, the surprise and unanticipated attack was successful, gagging Foxtrot and successful silencing him.

Unknowingly leaving his other Pokemon, Kyle arrived in time to witness the one-sided battle. Both and were incapacitated at some point. He probably should have arrived sooner rather than staying behind if he knew it would end like this. He did a headcount of the Pokemon, finding himself short of one Poochyena.

"Foxtrot... Foxtrot?"

It was only then that he realized that the Rocket was missing as well. He'd worry about his Poochyena, but priorities were set at the given moment. "Echo, Roar! Delta!" Kyle drew another Pokeball, releasing the last healthy Poochyena he had on his arsenal. "Crunch!"

With the Roar attempting to keep the Drapion out of the battle and the Crunch going for the Bayleaf's throat, Kyle took the distraction to run towards where his acquaintance was. He resisted the temptation to throw a punch, knowing that aggravating them further would do him worse than good, regardless of whether or not he had her Pokemon temporarily occupied. His attack was simply there for the assurance.

"We're taking that offer, thanks," he would answer for her.

He'd offer to help her to her feet after seeing her injury, though his eyes were still on . He'd go in and try to get him right away, but he knew that the Luxray was bad news, especially with all six of his Pokemon being weak as they were. He needed to find an opportunity to go in during the time frame of the Luxray attacking the Dragalge, but he wasn't sure if there would be one.

Things seemed to be going smoothly and in the rockets favor but of course not everything could be so clean cut. Letting out an annoyed sigh when she saw her Kangaskhan stop moving toward it's target, Bonnie wondered when the owner of the annoying bellossom would just roll over and die. With so much going on around her, all Bonnie could do was instruct her Miltank to use Heal Bell on Kangaskhan and then calling her beloved pokemon to her side. Since she wasn't being targeted she waited until for an opportune moment to appeared to make another move. Her eyes darted to the many different players involved with this invasion, it was mass chaos and panic and she lived for it. Her eyes would hone in on @aya and , the moment had presented itself, to get rid of that particularly annoying trainer who continuously protected her target from capture. Before she could make her move a presence appeared that would stop her, the boss of Team Rocket, graced their presence. Most people would feel...Humbled in his presence but she watched him with awe and a sense of pride washed over her. She didn't have to worry about the small fries in the room but she also didn't want them to mess up the Boss's plans with any of their damn interference.

Cutting her eyes over at who was soon joined by , Bonnie knew that she had to take that girl out. Looking down at the little Petlili that she held in her arms she smiled. " Are you ready for your first kill Cloud? Use Magical Leaf on that Green Hared Girl there, use it... twice. Hit her in her weak spots, where she seems to be hurting the most, shoot to kill. Be relentless " Pointing at so that her little Cloud knew who to attack she then called for her Kanagskhan's attention. She could see that just taking out that girl wouldn't be enough, she had to end the blond boy with her. " Moon, use Endure and then grab that stupid ass poochyena that's latched onto Bayleaf and use Reversal, try to break it's little body while doing it. " Her voice dripped with venom as she watched her pokemon execute her orders with the speed and precision she expected of them, she was tired of the bullshit truly and fully and they knew it. She could have cleared a few people out with her Miltank, but she needed her healer at the ready and so didn't give any instruction to it as it stood behind her.








TLDR;
- Miltank uses Heal Bell on Kangaskhan

- Calls all her pokemon to her side and is holding her Petlili in her hands

- is in friggen awe by rocket boss

- Instructs her Petlili that it's about to earn it's first kill and to use Magical Leaf twice on

- Instructs her Kangaskhan to use Reversal on the Poochyena that used Crunch on Bayleaf

His Poochyena were barely any threat as they were, as did the girl that just got beaten up to the point where she started to bleed. The conflicting decisions between the members shows the anarchy in the Rocket hierarchy, to which Kyle couldn't barely wrap his head around. Then again, he wasn't focusing on anything other than protecting his own.

"Delta!"

The quick call took the Poochyena's attention away from the Bayleaf, backing away from pursuing his attack as he saw the Kangaskhan moving in. Taking advantage of his lithe and small frame, the Poochyena ran away from the attack, dodging it and instinctively moving away from the brute.

"Echo, Roar! Miltank!"

He had basically forgotten about @aya at some point, turning his attention solely on @bliss . Closing in quickly on the girl and her Petilil, Kyle couldn't hold the urge to rush in and drop a punch anymore. "I said we we're leaving," he'd attempt to tell her, before pulling his fist back and throwing a straight punch to her face. "What more do you want?"

  • Pooch D drops the attack on Bayleaf to dodge the Kangaskhan's attack
  • Poochy E uses Roar on Miltank
  • Kyle punches @bliss in the face
  • Forgets to protect from the attack lmao

she had little choice but to push past the pain, bearing her teeth in a tight grimace as she forced herself to move once aided by - and to respond to the action that sought to end her. 

'i will not - ' 

despite the combined presence of the individual whom was responsible for the deaths, cait refused to be cowed and surrender. her pokemon would detect this subtle change, and would ready themselves for any verbal command uttered by the woman as she reached for a pokeball with trembling hands. 

"veno- venomoth!" 

just as the petlili launched its attack, the bug-type would be summoned, appearing in a burst of light. the flight worthy creature would respond to the attack which careened toward his mistress, and respond by wielding 'psychic', capturing the energy-imbued attack and rendering it useless. 

"i'm not done," she said, standing.

she would cast @bliss a potent glare, her bright-eyed stare brimming with what could only be described as outrage. cait shifted her focus only to address kyle, the corners of her lips turned downward to form a deep and slightly pained frown as her gaze flitted between those whom surrounded them. they were sorely outnumbered, and would likely be killed if they remained. 

"they won't let us leave with the captain," she said, her voice kept low. "Venomoth's strong enough to carry two people with its psychic abilities, but he'd be hard-pressed to manage three." 

the mere idea of abandoning her superior in favor of fleeing caused the woman to experience a terrible surge of guilt. she had promised herself she would not fail - yet her options were limited - and their chances pitiful. 

[ cait gets up and begins to move with the aid of ] 

[ she releases her venomoth whom uses 'psychic' and halts the petilil's attack. ] 

[ she speaks to kyle directly and with a notably hushed tone about a potential of route of escape - which is by making use of her venomoth's psychic abilities. ]

Bonnie didn't mind that her Kangaskhan missed it's target, or that her Miltank fled back into it's ball because of a poochy's roar, no none of those things bothered or even phased her. What did phase her was the absolute balls on the blond league member who got way to close to her far to quickly. Bonnie had a list of options on how to take care of this kid before he ever got to her but she wanted to have a reason to break every bone in his body. The punch connected alright, she let it connect and as soon as it did she let go of her petlili and grabbed onto the blond kid's arm and pulled him close into what could be called a sort of bear hug. " Cloud use Giga Drain on this kid. Moon Crunch on this boy's neck bones " She wanted to bath in this asshole's blood today, and even if one of them got away she was making sure someone's life was taken. Kangaskhan didn't miss a beat when she couldn't grab the Poochy and she was quick to make her way back to it's trainer, basically tailing the blond kid so by the time that punch connected Moon was already behind him. I like that ya got fight in ya, makes this fun for people like me. You wanna be the hero so bad huh boy.







TLDR;
- Kangaskhan straight up missed that Poochyena

- Miltank bitch ass fled into it's pokeball

- I took that punch to the face like a champ, dropped my petlili, and grabbed close to me

- Instructed Petlili to use giga drain on

- Instructed Kangaskhan to use Crunch on 's neck, who followed kyle once it missed the poochy it was suppose to attack.

The rocket members stilled their movements, gritting teeth behind weathered faces. Originally, they possessed the courage to advance in on the lone trainer, but faced against the two behemoths was a different story. Normally, this matchup would amuse the agent, but under the circumstances he was stone faced at the horror.

"Rondo, down them. Forte, the ship," he ordered swiftly, and both pokemon obliged. The aggron unhinged its jaw and seemed to simultaneously roar while scrapping the plates of its armor around his face amplified the sound to a cacophony of ironworks. The hi-pitched sound stung but it was mostly directed at both rocket members that clutched their ears to the metal sound. Immediately after, the beast summoned boulders through rock slide from the air—raining down defeat upon both as they were buried beneath the weight as they had no means to defend themselves or flee.

Meanwhile, the green beast did a dance, mustering up the bravado to deliver enough massive hit to the final ship as the third became victim to a crane that nigh bisected it. And in a raucous rampage, its feet collided with enough force that split the metal beneath it, creating jagged and sharp fissures as earthquake rippled through the surface of the boat—aiming to sink it.

the AIR SLASH hits but that's not enough. nothing ever is. is insatiable. even now, when their plans go unhindered, does he find the chance to condemn her for actions outside of her control. and things had been going so well - relative to esser's norm. with a sullen sulk, she keeps up, several paces behind him. she doesn't dare tarnish the ground he walks on. her golbat stays nearby, circling back and at the ready.

SUMMARY

  • is struck by 's golbat's AIR SLASH; she's rendered temporarily immobile.
  • @alt breaks his thumb to escape the makeshift collar (ow holy) before attacking poochy f. he attempts to bind its mouth with a collar. he chases after and likely becomes lost, wandering the ship.
  • 's poochy f is muzzled by @alt. poochy e uses ROAR on @aya's drapion while poochy d attempts to use CRUNCH on bayleef. is helped to her feet.
  • @bliss's miltank (love this MON) uses HEAL BELL on kangaskhan. she calls her pokemon to her side, petlili is in her hands. in awe of , she instructs her petlili to use MAGICAL LEAF 2x on .[break][break]

    after, she orders kangaskhan to use REVERSAL on 's poochy d.
  • 's poochy d stops his CRUNCH to dodge kangaskhan's REVERSAL. poochy e uses ROAR on miltank. himself, attempts to punch @bliss in the face and is distracted from protecting !!
  • begins to move with 's help. her venomoth is summoned for a PSYCHIC to attempt to prevent petlili's MAGICAL LEAVES. she attempts to discern their route of escape.
  • @bliss's kangaskhan misses the attack on poochy d. miltank is returned to the pokeball. she takes 's punch before grabbing him. she instructs petlili to use GIGA DRAIN on himself! after, her kangaskhan attempts to CRUNCH 's neck who was already on route to the league trainer.
  • is immobilized, WRAPPED by dralgalge. his frosslass faints from salamence's FLAMETHROWER, and wigglytuff DISABLES the move in retaliation.
  • arrives to find . he tells that she's useless (wtf) before ordering his luxray to CRUNCH @iris' dragalge, attempting to get it off before is hurt/killed.
  • @aya is peeved off that is here. she recalls cofagrigus and calls out bayleef. she tries to STUN SPORE the dragalge before walking over to . her drapion stands over her to block them from view, and for some reason... urges her (cait) to escape!!
  • @winter uses METAL SOUND and ROCK SLIDE to take out the two team rocket members. with a fierce EARTHQUAKE, the tyranitar attempts to sink the rocket ship.
  • i don't even need to tl;dr this.

  • @winter: another rocket ship sinks. damn, you're on fire. too bad there's nothing else on it again since most of the forces are on the docks. the rocket ship sinks but they won't need it anymore, not when their goal is right in front of them.

power is now cut to the docks. the lights shut off, alarms stop blaring, and it only takes the backup generators a second to kick on but it's too weak to be of any use. the boats are still functional but it looks as though rocket forces are closing in.[break][break]

"That's, uh, intimidating? That speech is so cliched that it physically hurts me to hear those from you."

He'd hook the girl's leg with his foot from behind her ankles, attempting to trip her in a way that he falls on top of her if she's adamant to hold onto him. Either way, he'd push his weight onto her. The Giga Drain did get most of the fight away from his system, although it wouldn't be long before his Pokemon would get into a position to help him out of the situation.

Delta would run towards the Petilil as soon as it saw it attacking his trainer, attempting to grab a hold of its head with Crunch and then throw her out in the direction of the Kangaskhan's maw. Echo did his part to protect his trainer, by running over to the Kangaskhan with his mouth open, fangs ready to hold onto the tail and drag the heavyweight away. It would be for naught objectively speaking, but every effort counted for the pup.

Fortunately for them, the darkness did not impede their maneuverability too much. Poochyena were used to the dark after all, or so Kyle would like to believe. If that wasn't the case, he supposed their noses were strong enough to distinguish him amid the chaos anyways.

Eyes looked onto the direction where he last saw Cait, hoping that she could get the signal and drag him away from the impending injury, or worse, death.

tl;dr:
  • Gets weakened by Giga Drain
  • Trips @bliss in a way that she falls on her back and he falls on top of her
  • Poochy D uses Crunch to grab onto the Petilil and throw it in the direction of the Kangaskhan's mouth

darkness utterly engulfed them, leaving only the bare minimum of light that would originate from a variable of self-sustaining sources.

"oh - oh, no."  

her venomoth's eyes exuded an almost menacing glow, his gaze shifting to and fro before it settled upon his mistress. she stared with wide eyes, her vision straining itself in an attempt to make sense of her environment - but she could not. nothing was clear and it was just barely visible; she feared that the league would be caught at a disadvantage because of it. 

"can you find kyle? can you get him?" 

her tone was hushed, but her bug-type detected it despite the undulating noise volume which surrounded them. the pokemon would promptly locate and grasp at the blonde-haired fellow, securing both him and his furred companions within his grasp. 

"we - we have to get out of here." 

she loathed to say that, for she'd have to abandon her superior in the process. but she was bleeding and near useless and kyle was likely in danger of suffering from some form of injury if they remained here. 

"anywhere that's away from right here." 

"vene - venemoth." 

after returning her bellossom and vileplume, she would allow herself to be wrapped within that slightly chilled power as the venomoth flexed its mental capabilities by carrying their small party just out of the rocket's reach. 

[ cait uses her venomoth to wield psychic on both herself and  [ and his poochy's, ofc ] to get them to a safer location and away from the main body of rockets ]

does not let on any sign of gratitude if it is there. the moment is brief, interrupted by . good. she didn't need to feel weaker than she already was.

the roaring of the poochyena was enough to send drapion back into its pokeball. aya stumbles back at the lashing out, her bayleef taking the brunt of a crunch right at his neck. aya's gaze fixates on the point of contact, watching blood spew from the pokemon. otherwise, she stands dimly and lets the action unfold, the distance between her and the league members growing as they recoil in fear from her mere presence. @bliss comes to her rescue and steps into the fight, her own pokemon enough of a match for the poochyena man's.

she unleashes her cofagrigus again amidst the chaos, bringing the bayleef back into its pokeball to recover from the attack after poochyena dismounts. wilks uses protect for his mistress, the hazy, ominous arms encapsulating the trainer to keep her from harm as and @bliss duke it out; voltaire watches intently. the scyther is aware of the passive streak that has taken over aya, but remains at attention in case the flip switches again.

it does not. wilks uncovers aya, and she is revealed to the world again, mask still hiding her face. through its slits, she eyes the two remaining league members as remains occupied. the venomoth's psychic is enough to carry them, moving the party away from malcolm, silas, and the rest of them. none of the rest of them matter, neither do kyle and cait, and neither does she. aya tosses a hand up at @bliss.

"they're useless. we have what we need." its a plea of mercy but the words come out biting at her cohort, the same one who has saved her numerous times today.

aya looks on at and -- they've pretty much won.



- drapion goes back to aya due to poochy's roar. she also recalls bayleef.
- cofagrigus uses protect, scyther sits patiently.
- aya lets the league members float away, yells at @bliss to let them go bc they got malcolm
- lets stuff unfold

The metal tore open as if it were fabric under a knife. A serrated edge that left its wounds into the ship jagged and visceral. Nero could feel the balance of the boat churn as water filled its hull. His footing started to slide, and amidst the victory, he turned to witness the rest of the battlefield.

Rocket flooded the area, and seem unfazed by their means of escape; if there were any on board the ships, it didn't seem to be enough to deal any substantial blow to their assault. An unfortunate progression to this defense.

Uncharacteristically, Nero grit his teeth in frustration before summoning back his pokemon—ignoring the warbling cries of the metal bending and ripping it continued to angle off. He knew a lost battle, and it was best to prevent any more casualties. Light would hopefully recognize this as well.

He summoned Nocturne and took flight with the gliscor, setting a new directive. He had an agency to report to, and hopefully more assistance to give further in the city.

despite having in their hands, somehow, somehow, the league managed to resist just enough to save their precious shipyard master. through the midst of the chaos, a careful SMOKESCREEN into TELEPORT play saves the shipyard master, taking him to safety. [break][break]

while most of the league flee by ship, some are not as lucky as they fail to make it to the ships in time. with league forces left behind, rocket feel confident enough not to dwell on the escaping ships. their mission might have been to kidnap the shipyard master, it’s a small loss that is able to take. [break][break]

their overall goal is done: they’ve taken slateport.[break][break]
