At first, Stormy's trip to Fallarbor is for enjoyment, entertainment, a nice break from the daily grind. She's enjoying the warm weather and the sights, occasionally picking pieces of mountain ash from her hair. It's volcano season, surely, but Fallarbor has never really had an issue with it - they mustn't if they'd built a town at the bottom of it, after all.[break][break]

However, her morning quickly turns sour around noon when screams take hold of a nearby building. Sudden and intense heat pours from the windows and she physically ducks as the glass panes shatter. Someone slams against her shoulder in their desperation to escape the fire, stopping just a long enough to tug on her hands and beg for her help. Her words are unintelligible and desperate, pulling Stormy into her own panic as she tries to make sense of the situation.[break][break]

Eventually, however, she comes to her senses, dropping her coffee. It smashes to the ground and splashes up her leg but the burn doesn't seem to affect her, she's pumped full of adrenaline and instinct. Her eyes scan the ground, pinpointing another individual who hasn't turned to flee. She reaches out to him, grabbing his hand and hopefully pulling him to his senses if he were bewildered.[break][break]

"I need your help. I'll make it up to you, yeah?"[break][break]

And then she reaches for a Pokeball, rolling it across the tip of her fingers. It bursts open to reveal a Seismitoad. The toad-like creature burps loudly, invoking a wrinkle of disgust across her nose. But she turns back to offer the young man a pleasant smile before commanding her Pokemon to douse the windows with water.[break][break]

"We just need to make sure no one's been left behind in there. Items can be replaced, lives cannot!"

There was always something about this time of year in Fallarbor that Seth liked, the weather was nice and warm and the bits of mountain ash that drifted down were something you could only really see here. It was always kind of nice to just walk around town and destress a bit after a hard nights work. [break][break]

Despite finding the falling ash kind of fascinating Seth wore the hood of his jacket pulled up over his head to keep the ash out of his hair. Without the hood for protection he'd eventually end up forgetting about the ash piling up on his hair and end up looking a bit silly. It wouldn't be the first time it happened during one of his long strolls through town.[break][break]

Unfortunately the peaceful nature of the day wouldn't last as long as anyone would hope as a nearby building suddenly burst into flame, the heat as well as some glass that shot out from the shattered window caused him to step back and stare wide eyed at the building. As his hood fell off from the sudden movement Seth just stood there in shock as people around him ran for safety, it wasn't until someone grabbed him and asked for help that he actually snapped out of it.[break][break]

Biting on his lip a bit as he took in the situation he couldn't help but nod a bit at what the woman was saying to him, of course they had to save these people but how? The man wasn't able to actually voice that thought before the other person had sent out a Seismitoad and the pokemon began spraying water at the windows. There had to be something he could actually do though, maybe run in? "Yeah, alright, lets do it.."[break][break]

Reaching down for a pokeball Seth sent out his Altaria in front of him before glancing over at the other trainer. "So I don't have any pokemon that can help put the flames out but Altaria can fly up there and help people out maybe? Just fly over to the windows you put out and let anyone in there get a safe ride down?" As he spoke the fluffy dragon put his plan into action, taking to the skies and hovering near the building while it waited for a chance to offer anyone inside a way down. [break][break]

Stormy watches his face for a moment as he comes out of his trance, her eyebrows creasing together in worry before brightening back into a smile. It appeared as though he were on board with the situation and willing to help her - which was good.[break][break]

In the meantime, Seismitoad manages to stifle some of the flames, leaving a window on the top floor open for rescue efforts. Stormy glances at the man as he reaches for a Pokeball, coming up with an idea on the spot that she immediately agrees to.[break][break]

"What a great idea! I'm going to send in my Arcanine to help locate anyone who's still inside, okay? Your Altaria can bring them out through the window. Rangers are on their way, we just have to stay strong until help arrives, okay?"[break][break]

She squeezes his arm before reaching for another Pokeball. The giant golden Arcanine appears in a flash of light and, after brief instruction, makes his way into the burning building. His fire-typing keeps him safe as he searches every room for trapped civilians and workers. In the end there's only two people remaining in the building, the owners.[break][break]

Seismitoad continues to soak the rescue window to the best of his ability while Altaria waits for the two civilians to climb onto its back.

The fact that the person who requested his help seemed to already have an idea for how to handle the fire was a huge plus in this situation. If he had to think about it there probably wasn't a scenario he was less prepared for then helping to put out a fire of this size.[break][break]

Even his unspoken idea of rushing in to try to help escort anyone still inside out was remedied as the woman's Arcanine took off into the building. If it wasn't for the seriousness of the situation and the slight panic still running through his he'd probably be impressed with how she had everything handled. [break][break]

"That sounds good to me." Seth muttered out with a hand going up to scratch at the back of his head for a moment. If all they had to do was get the few people still inside out and then await for more rangers to show up then everything should be alright. [break][break]

As the man stood around watching the efforts of the Seismitoad start to pay off with the window by Altaria starting to cool off the cloudy pokemon floated even closer to the window. Letting out the occasional cooing noise to try to encourage the buildings owners to hop on her back. [break][break]

Stormy doesn't wait for Seth to respond, though she definitely appreciates it. The moment she relays instructions she takes off to handle her part of the plan herself. [break][break]

Arcanine dives into the fire without hesitation. It almost seems as though the flames empower him. He bounds boldly through the doorways, avoiding the tantalizing smell of fresh-baked bread in order to sniff out the people on the top floor. [break][break]

However, time is of the essence and while he manages to nudge the daughter onto the back of the Altaria, the building is beginning to creak and moan. It's unlikely that the building had undergone recent renovations to secure the foundations and building materials. It was going down, and going down hard.[break][break]

Fortunately, Stormy looks over her shoulder in time to see the influx of rangers inbound. They brought several water-type Pokemon that began to douse the building. [break][break]

Altaria returns with the daughter and the rescue team scoops her up into damp blankets. Arcanine, on the other hand, hasn't emerged from the building. The fire rages harder and Stormy begins to whistle anxiously, the pitch of her recall growing louder and louder.[break][break]

"Arcanine? Arcanine!"[break][break]

Eventually, however, the great beast of a Pokemon bursts from the entrance carrying two people. One of them has a loaf of scorched bread tucked under one arm as they stop in front of more rangers offering damp blankets and breathing masks.[break][break]

Stormy brushes sweaty hair from her face as she breathes a sigh of relief. Arcanine abandons the people he's rescued to come back to her, burying his face in her outstretched hands. [break][break]

"Oh thank God. What took you so long, boy? Was it the bread? Did you get distracted by all of the yummy bread? You loon."[break][break]

But she eventually remembers she had been interacting with another human being and she comes to her senses. The woman blinks in surprise before turning to face Seth.[break][break]

"How rude of me! I ask for your help and I don't even introduce myself," she says this while offering her hand out in a handshake. "I'm Stormy! It's a pleasure."
