If the Druddigon and him had ever had it to begin with, it was certainly lost now. The dead look in its eye seemed to imply that, at any rate. Or, perhaps... was it him who lacked the capacity for meaningful connection?

Almost tentatively, Remiel raised a single hand to it and curled it into a fist. His face was nonchalant. His blue-grey eyes firm as they stared into its unnatural hues of red. When it suddenly, albeit slowly, returned the gesture, however, shock came across his features like a lightning bolt. It had fist bumped him back with a low rumble in its throat. But the rustle of a nearby bush interrupted it.

The moment was lost, and was quick to turn violent.

A Rhyperior had emerged to defend its territory from the equally as large but rather unnatural dragon. Its very existence was an affront to natural-born pokémon and, by the steely and determined look in its eyes, Remiel was quick to surmise that it had taken it upon itself to rid the world of Dathomir. Whether the black-haired royal wanted to stop the conflict or not (the latter, most certainly), the two titans eventually charged at each other with deafening roars, shaking the earth beneath them.

The Rhyperior bent its head down, focused on delivering an inaccurate but deadly Megahorn. In the face of this attack, Dathomir chose the most reckless of options: swiping both of its massive claws upon the stone titan as they surged with a fiery blue glow. It had succeeded in sinking its claws into each side of the titan, stopping it in its tracks. Though, if the dragon hadn't bent its head sideways at just the right moment, it would have most certainly been pierced straight through by its horn.

With a deafening roar, the shadowed Druddigon would then lift the Rhyperior into the air before slamming it down. What followed was a brutal barrage of attacks on the downed opponent. It had entered a violent fury. Pieces of rock flew into the sky as it continued. And, by the time Dathomir was done, there was nothing left to chuck an empty luxury ball at. Nothing worth it.

The Fraxure had simply been hiding in a small crevice against the face of the mountain. It had wanted no part in experiencing the uncanny power of this soulless beast. But, when said beast had accidentally rooted it out of its hiding spot after shattering the stone with a Flash Cannon, the secret of its existence was no longer a secret. Its red eyes, now dilated and frightened, met with Dathomir's for a split-second before it scrambled to get away. But the beast would not let it get away.

Planting its clawed feet firmly into the ground, so hard that it split the earth between its toes, the shadowed Druddigon suddenly burst forward with an immense aura of power. The Superpower-fueled boost was enough to close the gap between itself and its prey. And, once it reached it, the beast slammed down one of its large claws upon it to stop it in its tracks. Just as it removed said hand and unhinged its jaws to snatch it up and eat it, however, Remiel cast an empty luxury ball at the now crippled beast to save it. "That's enough." He firmly stated.

It turned over its shoulder to look at its puny master... the weight of decision in its eyes.
