[attr="class","mthread"][attr="class","rocket"]it's not as bad, at least, when the pokemon are already stolen. marcel waits nearby, surveying the area, as rocket grunts load up the back of their van. he watches their stock as it goes in: pokemon in cages, pokemon in pokeballs, and pokemon that had simply been broken into utter obedience. eventually, it gets uncomfortable, and marcel decides to branch out a little further.

a guy had come to him earlier telling him the rangers had been alerted--not about them, but the original owner of the building. marcel thinks back to the man currently tied up in his basement and makes a note to send someone to check on him later. he'd be a good scapegoat, after all.

Even staying invisible, Kaida still was a Ranger. She was always going to try in a mission, and this mission was no exception. Maybe her own refusal to show herself let her take this mission, she was already close enough to try this. Hel darted down the streets, leaping on higher ground that Kaida couldn't find. Given everything, she found that the Grovyle was her likely best choice. Hel was fast, and would lead Kaida to any humans or mass of Pokemon. [break][break]

Scrambling up a roof, Hel suddenly freezes, sniffing the air cautiously. That was it, something was near. Kaida raised her hands, Stay there. A false enemy or not, Kaida crept nearer, gripping a Pokeball as she stayed near the shadows, eyes narrowed as she watched for whoever was near.

still, it's better to be safe than sorry. at his command, the rotom blasts an OMINOUS WIND in the direction of the perceived threat. meanwhile, his sylveon throws up a LIGHT SCREEN in anticipation.

Hel's shriek prompted Kaida into action. Even if she could not see the ghostly winds attempting to tear her off her perch, anyone could tell the Grovyle was facing danger. She tossed out Silk, the Sandaconda staying by her side. Even if they didn't stay hidden for long, it was better to have your precise position less obvious. [break][break]

A Sandstorm kicked up, small in the concrete jungle, but potent. Silk pressed forward, his Sand Veil concealing his exact figure. It was a bold move, the serpent wanting to catch sight of the enemy, if Kaida could not recognize them, he would!

his sylveon channels its psychic energy, its ribbons floating around and framing it. pixilate was a small price to pay--with this, he'd at least have a better idea of who his opponent was. "get ready," he says to his rotom, who uses CHARGE in response.

The Sandaconda, accustomed to his own camouflage, froze briefly as his Sand Veil was replaced with an ability unfamiliar to him. In that moment, he could see a man, but was dreadfully aware that he was seen too Faced with only few options, the serpent attempted to trap his enemies here, spitting a chunk of sand that broke apart and fell in a Rock Slide. [break][break]

"Hel." Kaida spoke quickly, waiting a few seconds before sighing in relief as the Grovyle's head peeked over the edge, vanishing just as quickly as she heard Silk's attack land against concrete. Without even thinking, she used Quick Attack, blurring over the rooftops and springing at the first four-legged thing she saw, the fairy-types looking like easy enough pickings. [break][break]

With a Sandstorm blocking most vision, Kaida proceeded into alleyway, trying to watch what was happening in the conflict.

[break][break]as the van starts up his sylveon throws up a PROTECT to stop the rock slide from blocking their path. that it halts the grovyle's quick attack too is a happy coincidence.

quickly adjusting to the presence of a new foe, his rotom uses DISCHARGE. with its power doubled by CHARGE, he hopes it's enough to make up for type disadvantage.

Kaida can only see the tell-tale flash of electricity before she retreats and presses herself against the wall, seeing Discharge snake past her. The battle in the alleyway was getting fiercer. Silk closed his eyes against the flash, the electricity harmlessly running over his scales and onto the ground. Unfortunately, Hel was not so lucky, shrieking even as her natural grass-type body tried to resist the attack. Kaida tapped the wall, calling the raptor Pokemon towards her, where she promptly returned the Grovyle. [break][break]

Wind attacks and electricity. It was time for Svart to see the battles they had. The Pokeball cracked open, the Durant in front of her, looking up in confusion. Help him. The message got through to the bug, movement of Kaida's hands being as easy to read as sounds for the insect. She stared at the alley, calculating and determining something in that insectoid way of hers, then charged in. [break][break]

Hearing something clattering towards him, Silk waited until it was near before Digging, leaving the Durant charging forward in a vicious Iron Head, right towards the fairy. It smelled weaker, and the Durant was predisposed to go after the easier target.

it takes some searching, but marcel finds the box left behind outside the house; the clinking sounds when he lifts it tells him there it's pokeballs in here. as curious as he is, he needs to deal with the situation first. as his rotom returns to his phone, marcel hastily releases his kadabra. "let's go."

his sylveon, some feet ahead, is hit by the incoming durant. with the last of its strength, it lets out a shrieking HYPER VOICE before running back to marcel, a ribbon winding round its trainer's leg. his kadabra glows with a psychic energy, placing a hand on marcel's shoulder as he clutches tightly to the box. the ground begins to crack beneath them, but before the sandaconda can emerge, the trio disappear with a TELEPORT.[break][break]
