the beach crowd was starting to thin as it got late. ever since the pokeathalon the beach had been seeing a lot of increase in traffic making fighting for the best spot around a literal fight in some cases. lucky for kazimir and Stormy Silph they didn't have much trouble getting where they wanted to be thanks to different reasons. today was a simple day at the beach for the two of them, or at least that's what kazimir had said anyway since it was a while that it had been just the two of them having some fun. however the blonde did have a nice surprise for the elite four after all once more people left to give them a nice bit of space.

"well didn't i tell ya i was gonna make your birthday fun? you can always count on me to bring it y'know." he said as he joined her sitting on the spread out towels as the sun hung overhead and laid down stretching his whole body out. as he did he did a few little teasing things to get her attention to focus on other places, a flex of his biceps as he put his arms behind his head, a bounce of his pecs as he moved to get comfy, and finally rolling his stomach as he flattened himself out. he wasn't one to normally be this vain but for today's surprise it was more than worth it, he could tell.[break]

Stormy is honestly confused when Kazimir asks her to join him later on by the beach. She accepts, of course, because curiosity gets the better of her, and she had already said her goodbyes to the rest of her pokeathlon group, such as LANCE VOLLANS, skyler dross and Ruby Walker with indication she'd probably just head home. But Kazimir swoops in to collect her before that might happen.[break][break]

And it occurs to her then that she'd forgotten her own birthday. She'd been so caught up in the events at the beach and spending time with friends that she hadn't thought about what day it was.[break][break]

He settles down on a beach towel and she does as well, and she is mildly aware of his attempts to flex for her - but honestly she's watching the sun go down against the water.[break][break]

"Oh right, that's right. I totally forgot what day it was - it must have slipped my mind."[break][break]

Stormy chuckles, brushing hair behind her ear and sitting cross-legged on the towel.[break][break]

"Are you alright? You seem uncomfortable."

kaz's face flushed with pink as he realized that his attempts at trying to show off weren't really making the sort of impact as he was hoping they would be. "oh yeah i'm fine. just getting into...position for a tan." it wasn't the best lie he could have told but sun tanning was a little more believable. hopefully she would buy it.

as he settled down and got a little more comfortable there was a bit of silence between them and whle kaz was content staring up at the clouds and wait for the sun to go down he knew he shouldn't really leave her with something. perhaps a night birthday dinner was in the question, along with some cake. who doesn't love cake for their birthday? "hey do you wanna grab a bite to eat later on? we gotta do something tradition for the birthday girl after all. what are you in the mood for?"[break]

Stormy raises an eyebrow, confused by his answer. Even he seemed unconvinced of his response, which prompts her to idly check the time. In hindsight, it was probably incredibly rude, but.[break][break]

When he sits back next to her, Stormy glances at him only when he suggests a bite to eat. She offers the man a smile but shakes her head.[break][break]

"Honestly, I'm really sorry Kaz, but I gotta get going. Maybe another time?"[break][break]

She seems distracted as she gets back to her feet, but apologetic. While she dusts sand from her legs, she offers Kazimir a meek wave before leaving.
