"well, kinda, yeah." he tries to find the right words to describe the situation these pokemon really are at. "that's what children do. they're stupid. probably will only stop if the pokemon fights back, to be honest."

his mightyena stares down the pichu, freezing it in place. kyle lobs a pokeball at it while it's intimidated by a pokemon that can be considered its predator, getting it in the ball.

"for larger pokemon, we do this," kyle explains right after the demonstration. "and then we just let rangers take care of them afterwards."

"for smaller ones, we just chase them away and hope they learn their lesson." kyle scratches the back of his head, struggling to keep the educational mood going. "our job description prioritizes people over pokemon anyways, so all of these 'chasing off' thing isn't exactly something that can be expected from us."

they still do anyways because they get complaints about everything.

Kyle did speak the truth, or what sounded like the truth. Cops were for people and rangers were for pokemon, that was just how things worked but something they intersected and they had to work together, assumingly. Luckily for him he noticed that the elekid seemed zoned out, and his pokemon hugging it, and quickly distracting it, and billi bopped it with a pokeball. “Lets go” he commented to the pokeball and then to Kyle, “Yeah I guess you’re right!” he paused again and moved towards him,” oh works calling me! Sorry friend! I gotta go! Heres my number” Billi gave the number
