Fernando stands tall despite his weariness. He's spent all morning running the track to optimize his timing and it shows in the way his perspiration glistens against the afternoon sun. He's soaked from head to toe, coating his skin with an exaggerated sheen.

His Smeargle prepares the same opener they've been practicing all morning. A TAILWIND starts to pick up from behind it as it starts off with a decent trot. Being forced to the run the track non-stop has long made the Pokemon MOODY and restless. The sooner they make the leader board the better.

kyle's smeargle finally finds another smeargle friend that isn't owned by kyle. unfortunately, there's little time to interact with it.

it starts to dash with agility as its moody temperament gets it skittish for the race. tailwind further supports the smeargle as it goes super fast all of a sudden.

"wanna chase after them?" kyle asks ferny before jogging towards his pokemon himself.

"why don't we take it easy today torpedo? my legs are like jelly right now." of course the sharpedo would hear no such thing as it pulled the small surfboard that kazimir road on top of forward as he surged ahead along side the smeargle with a burst of agility, his determination to win kicking in a mental speed boost that propelled him even further.

somehow kazimir wasn't sinking to the bottom of the ocean so that was a plus. on the other hand he did have to try and make sure that his sharpedo never did anything like that again. so this time he decided to actually hope onto his sharpedo and ride the rest of the course on top of it. he's done it before and preferred it than surfing really. "just don't throw me off ok? we wanna win this together." he said as he gave the fish a kick to the fin to get him up to top speed again.
