The Royal and the Alolan fought the bloody war. A forgotten history that none would be able to share. Let it be known, however, that it was a legendary battle![break][break]

As the dust subsides and the Lycanrocs laid defeated around them, Balder called his team back into their spherical restraints. "Ok so we handled this crisis, but we're still nowhere close to understanding why this happened." The man put one knee on the ground, near an unconscious Midnight Lycanroc, inspecting the body.[break][break]

"Regarding the events with Isra... Well I can say even during our Ultra Space trip, she acted weird. While we were fleeing for our lives, she almost went on all fours to collect the remains of other humans and pokemons that the Megalopolans left after their meal. But I have no idea what she did afterwards, nor where she went." Is that enough information for the royalty? Hard to tell. But there was nothing else he could provide to him...

Bits of dust coat the royal's shoulders, and the Doublade that he holds in both hands. Releasing them from his grasp, they ascend into the sky and shake themselves clean of the debris from slicing Lycanroc. Remiel dusts himself off, too, then sighs as he steps forward to join Balder, crouching down on the other side of the fallen Lycanroc's body.[break][break]

"Then we take this one with us to the closest Pokémon center." He says, pulling out a luxury ball. "I can do the honours." He taps the ball against the wolf's rocky mane, and it disappears in a flash.[break][break]

Standing and straightening in posture, the royal examines the surrounding battlefield a bit further before returning the entirety of his attention back to the other man. With an arm crossed across his chest, and the other propped upon it vertically as he strokes his chin, Remiel basks in a thoughtful silence for a moment. The image Balder has breathed to life with his words sears itself into his mind.[break][break]

Isra always had a penchant for the spiritual and otherworldly. He couldn't say exactly why she had done what she'd done, except that perhaps she had endeavored to give the remains of the dead a proper burial. Regardless, that was the last place Balder had seen her. And this was his only lead to go on at the moment, so...[break][break]

"I must find a way into Ultra Space, then."

He states matter-of-factly, the pair of Doublade descending from the sky to hover against his back in X formation. The royal looks to the larger man with his trademark indifference, though a streak of determination blazes in the deep of his eyes. "What would it take to hire you as a guide, once I've devised a way to enter it? Money is no issue, I assure you."[break]

Balder directed his gaze at Remiel. Was he for real? Isra wasn't in that world anymore though, he knew this for a fact. So why would he wish to go there himself? Unless... Could she have gone back in there as the man had returned and the portal closed? This was also a possibility.[break][break]

But then, the royal prince of Galar asked how much would the Alolan charge to be the guide into this other world. Balder remained silent for a couple of seconds before laughing his lungs off. "No sane individual would return in that universe, even with all the money of the world granted to them."[break][break]

But... Who said he was sane himself anyway? His laugh died down before his face took a more serious expression. "If you're really serious about going, I need to warn you: Forget everything you think you know, and be prepared for anything. Ultra Space isn't so kind, our standards and common sense do not apply there. And if you understand all of this, then you'll be allowed to come. Because I have matters to settle over there as well."

Balder's boisterous laughter is met with an unamused, indifferent look from Remiel's cold blue eyes. He'd heard plenty about how dangerous and supposedly frightening Ultra Space had been. But he'd killed several of its residents, too— one of them being the general Philomera herself. Almost nothing was impossible with human will, intelligence, a bit of luck, and the power of a god to back it all up.[break][break]

He's pleased to see Balder take a much more serious approach to the matter, however, and nods in understanding. "That is precisely why I require someone who has already been there. I wasn't born yesterday, Balder." He adds, managing a hint of a smile. "So you'll come then? Free of charge?" Okay, perhaps he was pushing things a little too far now.[break][break]

"No amount of money would suffice for a trip to Ultra Space. Hell, even a guide can be useless, since the possibilities in that world can be endless." If they hadn't been met with choices of spots to go to at the start of this adventure, the man wouldn't be aware of this. There was no guarantee they would reach the city even.[break][break]

"So rather than say 'Pay me a million', I'd rather say we'll see if we survive, then you pay the amount you desire." Accepting money when survival cannot be guaranteed in any way would be simply dumb. If Remiel dies, he wouldn't see the money, and if he himself dies... Well what's the point of having money then? Not like Hades is gonna take that million to let you run with his dog and govern the Underworld right?[break][break]

Balder nodded nonetheless. "But yes, you'll be allowed to come. Again, I have things to settle in that other world so I will definitely go back. Just need to find more teammates and a surefire way to go back to the exact location..."

Despite Balder's warnings and harrowing reflections, they only serve to pique Remiel's interest in Ultra Space further. Nothing supersedes his urgent desire to find Isra, of course. But an alternate dimension, in itself, is quite the big deal.[break][break]

"Very well," Remiel responds, casually beginning to lead the way through the woods as they head back to town. "That's a deal I can certainly get behind." He had no reason to want Balder dead, anyway. Nor did he wish to perish himself, obviously.[break][break]

Balder 'allowing' him to come inspired both confusion and slight offense in the royal, but he disregarded the statement simply for feeling the former. After all, clearly the man didn't tout himself as the 'King of Ultra Space' or anything like that. "I'll make the necessary preparations. As it so happens, I've access to technology General Philomera had been using to attempt to go back herself." With one of the crucial components, of course, being Zekrom's own energy output.

As this was happening a month or two before the war, the man had no idea who the prince was talking about. But his gaze grew stern, brows frowned. "Are you saying there's already a Megalopolan around here? In Hoenn? And... Hold on, technology? How did it look like?"[break][break]

The fact it was machinery and not Solgaleo itself actually brought a sense of relief to the man... soon replaced by concern. If they had the technology to already travel between worlds, acquiring Solgaleo only allowed them to further improve this technology... Thus the war was most likely going to happen sooner than expected. He'll have to warn @goode about this. (But since it already happened, no use doing a thread for that lol)

"There was," Remiel responds. "She's gone now." He can't help but chuckle at the inquiry regarding the appearance of the Megalopolan technology, however. "Frankly? It looked like a mish-mash of technology from our world. It's something you'll simply have to see for yourself, however. I'll take you there."[break][break]

As they approached the border between forest and town, however, it seemed their night-long adventure had come to an end. They would part ways then, leaving the mystery of the Lycanroc to the local authorities. But not before Remiel granted Balder his business card.[break][break]
