[attr="class","light"]unveiled before him was something that looked genetically modified. it had the body of what one would call a "chimera" pokemon. zenji would take his time examining it from afar. remaining where he sat, he'd stand in order to call out his porygon.

"porygon, initiate protocol: 'pk-iat002', trace on."

as porygon hovered atop of zenji's desk. a visual scan was conducted by the modified porygon; simultaneously, zenji would begin to work on his computer while FERNANDO SILPH spoke. a click here, there, and typing everywhere. there was no record of the creature. there was little data on it. wherever this pokemon emerged from, it was unknown.

zenji would then proceed to examine all of what porygon captured and transitioned onto zenji's desktop. "setting the chimeric appearance aside, i'll have to run some tests on it." there was one thing that stood out to him though, but zenji would get into that in a bit. "this is a pokemon that's never been seen nor head of. there's practically no record on it anywhere. " and that wasn't all.

"my biggest worry is that, with little information, there's no way to know on how to combat something like this." removing himself from behind the desk, he'd come to crouch before the silvally. examining it up close and personal with his own eyes. "and you acquired from someone, who? its creator?" zenji would ask curiously. his eyes remaining on the beast killer.


FERNANDO SILPH

[attr="class","light"]his response was as expected. that's why zenji was able to don his usual steel expression. his face remained unchanged as he listened to Raziel Beckett speak. the young man's questions were easy to answer, it was practically two flying-types with one rock-type.

"simple," he said.

a cigarette would come to be pulled from his coat, "it's because if there was something you wanted to hide you would have denied the suggestion immediately." placing the cancer stick in his mouth, unlit, he'd look back down into his tablet. "which is why i won't force nor push it." besides, there was another reason he had nothing to worry about.

"everyone has a past, even myself." to judge those was beneath zenji's character. "i could careless about your past, be it good or bad. it's all about the person you are right now." and just why did he want to do something as dangerous as this? zenji never really was one to jump into risky situations.

"another reason..." he paused, looking toward meowstic, "...is because i'm sure your meowstic is probably worried about you." his gaze now, once more, directed toward Raziel Beckett. "if it makes you feel any better; take into account that this isn't for you, it's for meowstic." and also for him, but zenji didn't want the kid getting the wrong idea. he hated showing his generous side toward humanity, even if they didn't deserve it. "in the end, we'll be seeing a lot of each other mr. kingsman, as a ranger i don't need you getting sloppy because of this lingering thought getting in your way. you have a job to do. you can't do that job if you're stuck to the past."

zenji had only just settled in. there was an assortment of documented cases he had to shift through. "i haven't had the chance to familiarize myself with everything i should and should not be aware of." at this time such a name was the first of him ever hearing about it. maybe it's because he only recently became an employee of league, so he was still out of the loop.

"but from the name alone one can only assume it was made to kill the unkillable?" every name had a reasoning. for FERNANDO SILPH to have brought it up it must be important. "is this some secret league project? are you all planning to hunt the wormhole creatures?"

[attr="class","light"]"mm, that's right. avery jones is acting head in my absence. if you need anything, she has the capability to provide you with whatever you may need." on the verge of ending one call. a knock on his door would alert him to another.

"same to you."

setting his phone down. he'd look toward the door, ushering for them to come in. to his surprise it was none other than councilman FERNANDO SILPH, "councilman," zenji would retake his seat, "if it's something as interesting as the ruins, i'm always free to lend my aid." but did he really have a choice in the matter? he'd let out a slight chuckle.

"forgive me, it's my job now. you have a right to ask for my assistance whenever it's needed, councilman." elbows rested atop of his desk. fingers intertwined to serve as a seat for his chin, he'd ask, "how can i help? does it have something to do with the ancient ruins?" he really hoped FERNANDO SILPH's sudden visit didn't involve him joining a rescue party to save the hoenn explorers.

he'd lead them inside. once there, he would look to the hostess. "hello, we'll take the 'yunessun wine' package." after paying for the package. he would look over to bryan, "now we head over to the shower. we need to be clean if we plan to sit in a literal hot, red wine bath." it was recommended they don't drink it once they were in.

"after we shower we can head to the pool." once they were done they could head into a pool of red wine. "the refreshments will be ready when we're done if that's what you're worried about." as zenji lead the way to the men's washroom, he'd lazily wave a gesture for bryan delarosa to follow. "and you can drink as much as you please while you soak, just know i'm letting you drown if you fall asleep in the water."

[attr="class","light"]if one were to be honest both options weren't safe. mainly for the invader, which would be him. "it's something i've never done myself, if i must be honest." the risk behind was far greater than the reward, but only to the invader. "i should make sure you understand before going through with this."

he'd enter his desk to pull out a book. placing it before razz, zenji would say, "this book has a thorough detail of the procedure we're attempting to take. it's normally undertaken with a ghost-type, but a psychic-type can do just the same." hypnotism was one way to go about tampering with the subconscious, but there's no telling what they could dig from his noggin.

zenji needed to venture deeper.

"the goal is to put you, the subject, into a deep sleep; whereby, afterwards, hypno will serve as a conduit between you and i." hypno was to be their string of fate, guiding them on their journey. "once hypno has placed you and i both into a deep slumber, it will utilize 'dream eater' and 'nightmare' in order to incept my conscious into yours; binding our hearts and mind." there was a small chance he wasn't going to like this next part.

"meaning i may come to see things you don't wish to remember or keep locked away." from how he got the scar on his face to his hidden past as a rocket member. "furthermore, you may not even realize you're in a dream or you may, that part is entirely dependent upon you. there's a high chance of me even getting lost inside your world..." a sharp stare was thrown toward Raziel Beckett, "...forever."

that held stare was then broken, "but that's only if i forget myself and become too integrated. i just need a conduit to keep me grounded, reminding myself as to who i am and my goal here. injuries earned in your world will come to appear in reality, for me that is. since i'm the invader and all." and to further explain, he'd add, "dream eater will be used to bind us. nightmare will be...an unpleasant experience, but we need it in order to serve as the foundation." this would lead zenji to ask one question.

"it's best you tell me how," he vaguely spoke. zenji would point at his own eye, indicating that he wanted to know as to how razz got the scar that he possessed. "but, before doing so, if you have any questions. i'm open to answering them before we continue our chat." and if he wanted to back down that was also okay.

zenji quickly uttered after avery's statement. texting upon his phone while doing so. "you're too kind to the brat, avery jones." but that's who she was, and he respected it. if he respected anyone the most, it was avery. her tender nature and innate desire to care for pokemon was what made her a suitable candidate to someday be the perfect wife.

"he doesn't deserve your kindness, he has to earn it first." a cheeky grin would be thrown bryan delarosa's way. "don't worry, though. i'll tell you all anything deemed important, but that's only if granted." the last thing he needed was league information being leaked due to a slip up. "can never be too careful with who's watching, hoenn may be safe for now but there's always gonna be monsters lurking in the dark." he'd take another sip of his alcoholic beverage.

"avery jones, i'll be leaving you in charge of dealing with the new and old trainers of hoenn." this would range from handing out starter pokemon ready for the next chapter. tending to those who have health issues, you name it. he trusted avery well-enough to take over that side of the field.

"i put my trust in pokemon, not people." pressing a button, he'd call for his assistant, "if you could prep some tea for us, that'd be great." returning his attention back to razz, he'd add, "from your pokemon's action and desire to remain at your side, i can say they're doing a fine job." and like he said, "you don't take them out on the field, you have a sincere heart for them. i don't think there's anything i need to check on, aside from medical purposes. we'll give your meowstic a full checkup before you leave, don't worry." the renewal would also be given before his departure.

"now, onto the next concern," zenji would lean back in his chair. his elbow placed upon his arm chair while his fist would be used to rest his head. "as for your memory loss, i can offer you potential treatment with a hypno. your memory is buried deep beneath the hippocampus. somewhere in there, that episodic memory waiting to be accessed." and there were only several ways they could go about it. "one, somewhat, safer way would involve hypno. another would involve the usage of haunter, this route is more dangerous."

now for his last concern? well, that would have to wait.

[attr="class","light"]he could see frustration upon the boy's face. zenji pondered on what he had been told so far. he'd attempt to piece together each bullet point jotted down in his tablet.

"so it's best to assume the mission ended in failure."

if anyone's in need of an examantion it was Raziel Beckett. the boy clearly had little memory, but was able to gather bits and pieces. "well, there're a few treatments that can assist you with memory loss." but that was something he'd have to want. "it doesn't sound like something that will interest, though." razz didn't seem up to the task. so it was best to leave the topic alone.

"in any case, i'm glad you're alright." from what zenji could clearly see no examination was needed for the pokemon. "i'll have my assistant issue you your renewal on the way out." placing his tablet facedown, he'd lean in to speak with razz eye-to-eye, "honestly, i think you're far more in need of one than your partner here."

it happened so suddenly. there was a mass collapse in the night; pokemon were missing. it was within one of the major city that housed one of league's many headquarters. it was an unexpected assault that left many confused. thankfully, it was only happening in this region. it's only been one day since the surprise outbreak of what some believe to be a sudden disease. for now only a few were infected and currently hospitalized. but each district's respective hospital slowly began to fill up by the hour.




at first it was happening at home. now there were those being affected driving, walking home, and some at local shops.at first it wasn't exactly easy to piece the information together, but it slowly came once the unnoticeable evidence became noticeable. sadly, it didn't become noticeable until headquarters' heard it.



many became to fall unconscious upon the first level. slowly the sound made its way to each level. quickly, it was shut off by disconnecting the power. unfortunately, many were exposed too long to the auditory assault.

those who were unafflicted and able to continue their work were brought to the meeting. it would come to be held by zenji jabami. after reaching out to dahlia goode, he was put in charge of the operation. granting the ability to gather a team to deal with the issue occurring at hand. those who were currently in, on the way, or stationed in lilycove were asked to meet the head scientist in the meeting room as soon as possible.

note: open to 2 ( maybe 3 ) and those who work for league. i.e. gym leader, council, elite four, ranger, police officer, interpol, detective, or anyone at zenji's facility. just a random social for plot. \o/

[attr="class","light"]a chimchar would come to be seen hanging from upside down a tree. "oi, get down from there!" he yelled. zenji would wave for the fire-type to come his way. pulling out of his briefcase, he'd hold a banana up. "let's get a check-up, i rather not chase you this time." yeah, he was familiar with the newborn troublemaker.

the only way to get it to cooperate was with its favorite fruit: bananas. zenji would offer it to the chimchar once it made its approach. "now, stand still and eat." he'd begin to perform a check up on the fire-type. "yup, you're doin' fine." just as he'd hoped. "you ready to come home, troublemaker?" the chimchar would merrily yell its name.

it wasn't exactly sure as to what it was excited about, but as long as there was food involved it was in. "okay, let's go. taking you back to the lab." he'd offer the ball before the curious chimchar. with a simple touch upon the button, it was absorbed into the ball.
