[break][break] "but i've been fine. i've - "[break][break] before he can say much else on the matter, a rotom cam flies down between them, interrupting conversation. jayden blinks for a moment, unsure of what this strange holiday tradition is, before he can glimpse the other couples in the room interacting with it. some indulge in the kiss cam, like BARNABY FINCH and Elisabeth Fiorelli. others are content to flash the truth, by way of Cillian Quinn. [break][break] jayden's head tilts down towards MAKI YUKIMURA, contemplatively. [break][break] and then he leans forward. [break][break] but his lips land instead on her forehead, before he leans back. "merry christmas, maki." a hand brushes fondly against the top of her head before he tilts his head towards both girls. "i want to go to the poker table. join me?"[break][break] without waiting, the admin crosses the threshold of the room. the kiss cam reminded him of fern delaney and with more urgency than before, he wanted to go see what his partner was up to. but unfortunately, when he arrived at the table, he saw many familiar gazes — but none of them the sea of teal-blue that he was looking for. [break][break] jayden shifted instead towards the most familiar figure in that space, which ended up being Hitoshi Inoue. he steps behind the samurai, placing a hand gently on the man's head, ruffling it softly.
