The Zebstrika plunked the burrito from his grasp and then wandered off with it, and Leo laughed as she all but gobbled it down. It was true — there was nothing better than his mama's food.

[break][break] That done, Leo looked around. His Togedemaru, done with his meal, had pushed his way into his backpack and curled up for a nap. Rue had fluttered to his shoulder, picking at his strands of hair absently, for nothing more than to find something to interest herself with. Crumbles and Yams, however... where were they?

[break][break] There! Except...

[break][break] "Hey guys!" he said, abruptly standing. "I don't think - "

[break][break] Yup.

[break][break] A wandering Drampa floated on the horizon, but when Yams wandered too close, the pokemon gave a predatory air-snap. Though it was pretty harmless, the Yamper still let out a yelp of surprise and then immediately sprinted around the field, jumping into Leo's arms. The boy patted the pokemon between the ears, laughing lightly. "That's what you get," he said, patting him down. "You gotta watch where you're goin'."

[break][break] He looked up, and the Drampa had already wandered off. Huh. Guess all pokemon really weren't the same!

The lunch was almost over, but not before Leo could eat first!

[break][break] Reaching into his backpack, he pulled out another tupperware container, this time one containing a chorizo burrito that his mother had made for him that morning. He pried the plastic open before grabbing said burrito and taking a bite out of it. It was tasty — but kind of cold, but that was to be expected. How long had he been in the safari zone?

[break][break] Leo grabbed a bag of chips and a Monster that he had stored away, when he paused. There were Tauros in the distance, their curled tails swiveling rapidly in the distance. The sight of them was peaceful and yet nostalgic all at once, reminded of the afternoons that he spent with caroline foster teaching him how to tip them over.

[break][break] He looked up at Peanut who had come over his way, muzzle pressed against his cheek. He laughed. "What, you hungry now too?" He offered her another burrito, almost identical to his own, though it was filled with corn, pokeberries and rice instead of meat. "Mom packed one for you too."

tldr; leo makes a bunch of new friends! some baby winggull, a ranger named razz kingman, and of course, ji-hoonie!

He released the Drampa almost as soon as he captured it, pulling out a box of heart-cut sandwiches and offering it to the pokemon to slurp up. Leo laughed, "You're a hungry guy, aren't you?"

[break][break] Meanwhile, Rue picked at the fallen sunflower seeds that had sprawled at the pokemon's sudden entrance, and both Crumbles and Yams finished their food in a matter of minutes. The latter, filled with newfound food zoomies, began darting around the field. He dropped into a crouch several times in front of the Appletun to attempt to goad the other into a chase, but Crumbles wasn't having it.

[break][break] Once the Drampa had eaten his fill, Leo fished the pokeball out of his pocket again and returned it back to his pokeball, when he caught the glance of a Buneary family wandering close. "Oo- " he said, about to exclaim, but then with a side-glance from Peanut, lowered his voice into a hush. "Ooh." He reached into his backpack and pulled out a granola bar, "Hey there. I won't bite, I promise!"

[break][break] However, the boy's sudden movement caused the rabbits to freeze, eyes wide with terror not unlike that of Chu-e Choi should he see Leo out in the wild, and then dart away into the bush. The college boy pouted, looking at Peanut. "Awwww."

[break][break] The Zebstrika gave a snuff, then returned back to her grazing.

[break][break] leo grew up as an only child, so he's always looking for people to befriend and make into siblings! they also both grew up in hoenn, so there's a possibility they know each other already (depending where mochi grew up!) 

[break][break] we should do a slice of life mission, social, or dual wild with them! im up for anything ^^ 

As the Zebstrika slowed to a stop, Leo hopped off and pulled his backpack off of her. He then set his backpack on the ground, pulling out what looked to be several plastic boxes. At the same time, light spun from the backpack releasing the rest of his pokemon — Yams, Queso, and Crumbles. Even Rue flew in from the sky, settling on his shoulder and plucking at strands of his hair as Leo set out their lunch.

[break][break] For Yams and Crumbles, he set the small containers of pokefood for them to crunch on. For Queso, he handed the Togedemaru a small blackberry to nibble on, and for Rue, he set aside some sunflower seeds in a cup. The Fletchling fluttered over to the edge of the metal tin, dipping her beak inside.

[break][break] Or perhaps, she would've, before letting out a squeak of surprise and terror when a wild Drampa appeared out of nowhere, slurping up the seeds. Yams barked with surprise and even Crumbles stepped back, stunned. "Woah!" Leo said with a shout, before realizing that the pokemon didn't mean harm. He laughed, running his hand along it's cloudy scruff. "If you were hungry, all you had to do was ask," he said, with a smile, before pressing a pokeball to the pokemon's spine.
