Yui was hanging out at fernando's gym, apparently since the staff there didn't know who the heck she was she decided to stick around more so that they became familiar with her. She snooped around the area a bit, of course nowhere Fernando wouldn't be ok with her going of course. She didn't want to get in trouble with him for being where she shouldn't be. She however began to hear a noise near the entrance, the gym wasn't really open today, who the hell was here? She made her way over to the door with cherrim in it's sunny form held in her arms. "Mateo? What are you doing here?" she said curiously as the gym was closed today.

Oh? Sceptile was building it's speed up as well? Yui smirked a bit, even if it's speed went up vivillion had a couple of advantages here in terms of it's attacking power going up. But what truly worried her was that mega gemstone on it. Was she not planning on using it? Or was she saving it for when she needed it? Well she was going to have to get in as much damage as she could because she feared the mega sceptile. her plan at the moment at least was to try and keep sceptile away from vivillion and pelt it with attacks. "Vivi! B3! Use gust on sceptile!" she said trying to get a feel of how she'd handle sceptile being attacked from a distance. Vivillion's wings flapped and began to glow blue and used gust as blades of wind flew towards Sceptile and it's clones

Yui sat there stunned, apalled at what even happen during this gym battle. That araquanid was going to start killing her Pokémon? Well he obviously managed to stop it, once araquanid was in it's ball Yui ran over to her Pokémon, scooping up chatot in her arms and hugging it with alteria. She was a bit freaked out, she never saw a pokemon behave like that so she was a bit scared but she was also ecstatic at how her Pokémon behaved and the fact that they freaking won! Yui broke the hug and looked over to Bili. "Thank you for the challenge! Ill be honest, I didn't think very much of bug Pokémon but your Pokémon proved me wrong today." she said smiling at the man. [break][break] "They can be quite powerful, I'll be sure to keep it in mind moving forward." she said as she walked up to Billi with Chatot in her arms and her other two Pokémon at her side. Even if the battle was won via forfeit, she counted it as a victory since she managed to learn something today as well. She waited eagerly to receive her badge.

Yui's gaze was suddenly met though with a pyroar and she was scared. It was a Pyroar...a fire type...Yui was stunned and Swablu could feel her fear as she lazily woke up, it's head popping out from it's fluffy feathers and squawking at the creature and then flapping it's wings as it left Yui's arms and continued to sqwuak at the cat like creature who seemingly was gonna attack, but a pokeball noise effect went off and a beam of light erupted while pyroar was sent flying from the force of the attack. Yui had sent out her porygonz while it was distracted and blasted the creature away from her as she got scared from the mere presence of the fire Pokémon. However she fought the tears because she knew fernando might like it as a gift, plus this way it couldn't cause any fires in a pokeball. She waited until the ball stopped moving and then picked it up. Nice! A new years gift for Fernando!

She picked up the ball and made her way back to the car that drove her here. She sent a text to fernando to schedule a short meeting with him to give him a gift that she got for him for the brand new year.

All the pokemon were stuck, all of them except for Araquanid. The Pokémon moved with such speed that Yui almost didn't even see it move from the spot it was at, however she definitely saw it it run up on her chatot. She was stunned at how quickly the creature could move, and so were chatot and porygonz. However she saw that Araquanid was about to take out the very injured pokemon which made Yui yell and scream out "NO!!" Before a flash of light appeared above the battle field where Swablu was, she looked up and saw a ball of light heading right for araquanid. "Cotton!? QUICK USE DRAGON BREATH!" she said as Cotton descended, but instead of a dragon breath she saw a different move, one that was more concentrated and beam like instead of it's usual breath attack Cotton had used dragon pulse . [break][break]

A cloud of dust flew up from the pair and once it settled, Cotton was no longer a swablu BUT AN ALTERIA! Yui stood in complete disbelief "Cotton!? You evolved!?" She said flabbergasted as Alteria let out a cry of joy for a moment before pecking at araquanid and using her weight to hold him down. She was going to hold him down? YES THAT WAS PERFECT! Chatot was knocked out by Araquanid's attakck but now with alteria holding araquanid with it's weight down, she only needed a moment and Porygonz was ready now! "Quickly Codey! Use the advantage that Cotton gave you! Tri attack Shuckle and Frosmoth while they're stunned!" she said as porygonz dashed over to the other two pokemon.

Yui laughed at the fact that workaholic could be his middle name because it was honestly true. She then looked a the sceptile closely "Oh how cute! You have a sceptile too! I saw mateo's sceptile when we went to the arena!" She said before her eyes stopped on the sceptile's mega charm. She stood there stunned, mega evolution. The one hurdle yui couldn't jump, she got a bit nervous, none of her Pokémon could mega. She tried to mega evolve once but for some reason it failed over and over with no explanation. She got a bit nervous until Selena spoke again and brought her back to reality telling her that she could start the first move. "Alright!" She said before she calmed down and her demeanor changes, the eager girl was gone and a calmness washed over her face as the chess queen had arrived. "Vivillion, D1. Quiver dance!" she said
As vivillion flew forward and begun to do flips in the air as it began to glow with a multicolor aura to signify it's move was powering it up.

Welp, the time had come! Yui wanted to challenge Fernando to a gym battle. She knew if she was going to take on the gym challenges she'd eventually have to face him. So, may as well get it out of the way. She always looked up to fernando and the reason she wanted to even battle him was because she wanted to see if she had managed to grow even a little from her recent gym battles. She signed up for a rather interesting format, she created a team that would really thrive working together so a 5 vs 5 would be ideal conditions for her. She arrived at the gym and already encountered an issue, she handed her identification card to the front desk...and the people didn't believe she was a Silph.

[break][break] Yui sat there stunned "Excuse me! I am Yui Fujin Silph! Hello?! I know Im not as popular as stormy or go out much but I promise im a silph! Call fernie!" She said as she pouted. A lot of people didn't even know of Yui's existence since she usually kept to just working in silph co and being a shut in for the most part. The people who generally knew of her were Business partners and people closely tied to the Silphs and her siblings. She decided to sit in the lobby and wait for Fern to come fix this or for them to give up and let her in as she did issue a challenge regardless.

"Ah! Haha kind of. He motivated me to go and complete the gym challenges...albeit not directly." She said with a soft smile on her face, this girl seemed different than the quiet and shy one from the hotpot. Yui could handle interacting with people one on one but in a room full of strangers? She usually remained quiet and observed. "I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even know im doing the gym challenges. He's always so busy working, I gotta tell him to slow down a bit." However it seemed to just be her and Selena here Perfect! No distractions!

She gripped both of her pokeballs tightly, she wanted very badly to win and she knew that Selena was going to be a very worthy opponent. She tossed out her Vivillion's pokeball as she awaited for instructions on how to proceed. Vivillion in the mean time hung around by sitting on the girl's head and Yui smiled at her, reaching above her head to pat the bug pokemon.

The hyper beam had bounced between the two pokemon, her chatot was able to bounce it back successfully causing this hyper beam to be able to do a MAJOR amount of damage. However that quickly backfired on them all since wide guard refelected the beam away from the fight and caused a rather large explosion away from the battle field from the sheer power of it being amplified from mirror coat. UGH! it was using blizzard! how freaking annoying! She worried as to what she could do now, Porygonz had to take a turn to rest from hyper beam but araquanid and shuckle could still attack. The stone edge managed to make contact with chatot and slapped it making it fly backwards and land on the floor. Although beat up though chatot barely manages to hold on "Chatty!" she called out to the creature "Use roost! Rest up and then use feather dance when you can on shuckle!"" She said as some of his feathers came off of him and began to float around him to heal him from the roost. [break][break]

The trick room began to fizzle out as the effect of the moves had now ended and Yui saw this as a chance to make her move as her pokemon were naturally faster. Shuckle was an extremely slow pokemon and yui was going to take advantage of that. The blizzard raged on and descended on her pokemon, injuring all three but! Swablu's sing was succesful and frostmoth began to slowly fall asleep causing the mist and blizzard to stop. "Alright swablu! Quick Use moon blast on frostmoth!" Swablu began to glow pink as the energy from above formed into an orb that was hurdling towards Frosmoth. It was around this time as well that Chatot began to control those same feathers and sent them flying at araquanid and shuckle, with it's feather dance the aim being to land it on shuckle. Her goal was to force Billi to make a decision, either stop shuckle's attack from being lowered OR defend Frostmoth from being attacked in it's sleep. Her porygon was staying there resting up as using hyper beam was a streneous move.

Yui laughed slightly to herself, it was typical Fernando fashion that he'd up and leave them all with the bill. "Ah well yes, me and fern are two very different people." she said laughing a bit as it seemed to always be a dynamic between the two. "Yet somehow we manage to get along, im glad I at least stayed behind at least to help whoever struggled to foot the bill." she giggled. Razz's serious tone reminded her a bit of Fernando actually but she could tell there was some sarcasm in the way he spoke, more than fern. He seemed a bit evasive towards talking about that mission that caused his injury so she laid off of it since there was clearly something bothering him there. [break][break]
He went on to ask how she was doing after the mission "Oh! I've been alright." she said laughing a bit to ease the awkwardness "I've been a lot more active in Hoenn itself, I used to just lock myself away in Silph coding away and working until the war began. I couldn't sit by anymore so I decided to do my part." she said scratching her head as she awkwardly smiled. "I've been seeing a lot of interesting things lately too"

It's just for now at least while I fix this damn thing, no one's used it in a while so all the stuff for it is outdated." she said explaining why she's going through all of this trouble. She did however glance at him as she apparently was right in guessing that he was Zenji, it was her fault for unknowingly being wrong since she was told who he'd be and forgetting it so easily. She didn't really react to the nicotine, she was around those older than her all the time who partook in that hobby. Meetings, brunches, etc.

Yui waved over to Razz eagerly, a warm smile placed across her face. She waved over to him, however she felt bad that she's basiclly tricking him for her own whims. She did want to thank him! But at the same time she wanted to know more about that strange rotom. The fact she wasn't telling fernando off the bat that Razz had a shadow pokemon was doing him enough of a favor...right? She was thinking too far ahead, She first had to just enjoy herself until she was ready to ask about it. She was sitting by a table in a more secluded spot of the cafe. "Now now, dont think too much about it. It's the least I could do after you literally saved my Life, what kind of Silph would I be if I didn't repay a debt? Fern would kill me." she said laughing a bit and waving her hand to Razz. [break][break[
