Yui saw a purple balloon floating around in the air! Oh no someone must have lost their balloon and needed help getting it back. Yui quickly threw her pokeball out and released the chatot. "Go up and get that balloon! I'm sure that little kid who had it is missing it by now!" she said as chatot flew up and grabbed the "string" for it. However when he came back down it wasn't actually a balloon, it was a Pokémon! Yui was very knowledge on all sorts of Pokémon but this one escaped her mind for whatever reason. However it was incredibly cute and seemed to really like clinging onto her arm and trying to lead her somewhere but it was not strong enough to really life her up and for some reason Chatot would poke at it to stop it. whelp it was cute so Yui threw a pokeball at it to capture it! [break]

Yui then released it afterwards and let it wrap around her hand as she skipped back over to Silph co where she gleefully got back to work as her drifloon kept her company.

The hob-goblin noticed how she had suddenly gained the attention of several people at once . Her face turned immediately red upon kim cole-essam and FERNANDO SILPH chastising her for her animalistic behavior. She then also pouted at him by saying she'd eat at the children's table before mumbling under her breath "Not my fault im short.." she said. He then went into guardian mode and began to fill her plate with food, and he even offered her insight into how exactly hotpot worked. Which was actually very useful "Thank you." she said gleefully as the goblin began to eat some of the food presented to her, however when Fernando's back was turned to walk back to his chair Yui quickly grabbed a side plate and placed some of the food Fernando had given her to lars and even gestured for him to give some to Razz Kingsman . The meowstic on his lap was extremely adorable and Yui couldn't help but look at it in awe and wanted to give it some food as well.[break][break]

More and more people were joining, causing her to sink back into her personal bubble a bit, regretting not having one of her Pokémon out to give her a slight bit of comfort. She was really missing Cotton at the moment, she was the best for comfort.

Yui saw eiscue doing that attack again and panicked initially upon seeing it, it was extremely close to her and she was barely able to get out of the way in time. She gritted her teeth, hitting the ground with her hand as the snow made it glow bright red. She was becoming more upset by the moment with this damn battle. She grabbed the pokeball off of her belt and released Swablu again. She was losing her ground by each second and there was nothing she could really do at this rate. Chatot got hit by beat up and was growing increasingly tired, she called chatot over to her and told it to use ROOST. "Codey! Use tri attack on Mightyena! Cotton use moon blast on mightyena!" she said as she was going to start using a form of beat up of her own. [break][break]
She had to start taking them out one by one.

Yui had sat in silence the whole time. Staring at the adults fight over the hotpot, jesus christ they were like animals.. She recognized only a couple of faces but never really formally talked to them. People who were near Fernando that she watched from afar, she clenched onto her pink dress and waited for the right moment to strike. She grabbed her chop sticks and grabbed the Taurous beef shanks that Laurence Anderson had been looking at. Surely he wouldn't rob a child right? Well regardless she didn't want to find out so she grabbed the shanks and ate them rather quickly to not give anyone a chance to eat it. It was very rare to see her so quiet, in fact she almost always was yelling instead but Yui was not very comfortable with the people at the table. However since she did notice that laurence was eyeing the beef shanks she silently handed one to him with her chopsticks and put it onto his plate. A soft "Here" is all that could escape her lips at the moment. [break][break]

She however was at an extreme disadvantage due to her height, these chairs were not meant for short people which she found incredibly rude eventually she got so frustrated she stood up on the chair and began to yoink as much food as she possibly could fit on her plate like a hob goblin. Growing up in an orphanage made fighting for a food a skill. Or was it the fact she was an actual hob goblin in disguise?

She wanted to tell him she had nothing to prove, but she did. She had to prove that she was worth his time and effort or else she feared she'd be right back at the orphanage, unwanted. She wanted to prove she was worth something to the world, no, herself. Or else her family's sacrifice would have been for nothing if she just threw this opportunity away. Her Pokémon were a bit damaged from the blizzard attack ravaging their body but they seemed alright for the most part. Her flying types naturally took more damage due to their weakness to ice attacks and afterwards Mr. Rime's hypnosis put her Swablu to sleep due to the short distance between the two. When Yui saw that swablu had fallen asleep she quickly grabbed it's pokeball and recalled it into it to prevent it from further damage but also because of it's ability, natural cure. Chatot and Porygonz were farther away from the Mr Rime so they managed to escape the hypnosis. However, Porygon was hit by the icicle crash and likewise weavile's night slash and mightyena's bite both landed their attacks on chatot, she called out to them in a panic "No! Codey! Chatty!" Her Pokémon were both sent backwards until they were right on top of her. She had to buy time, Porygon-z is tired after it uses hyper beam, the cost for such a powerful move and on top of that her Swablu was currently recalled. Chatot was now center stage. She analyzed the situation at hand and realized something she could do, since Frosmoth was still on the battle field. "Codey come to d4, in front of me. Chatty use mimic on tile 5 E and then use blizzard." She said when she pointed her finger at the passed out frosmoth as porygon moved over towards her and Fern slowly. The last moved it had used was blizzard and Yui was now going to turn that attack back on the ones who used it against her. She didn't expect it to do very much damage, what she wanted to do was try and slow their progression towards her Pokémon to buy time for swablu and Porygon. Chatot's wings began to glow white as it began to flap them intensely, the wind in the area around the enemies kicked up and began to pelt them with furious winds and ice. Her voice pierced over the new blizzard forming, "Nerve is a requirement for battling." she said as a silent raged filled her heart for the ones who harmed her Pokémon. She was afraid though, they both had taken a lot of hits in this battle and she knew she was losing at this rate. She needed to look for an opening to recover herself.

As the wind picked up yui's dress swayed in the furious winds as she also protected her face. Damn it her vision began to get a bit fuzzy from the snow fall and winds but she was surely porygon-z could handle it. However Yui panicked when she saw that there was a magic coat attack flying right back at her and on top of that this blizzard was becoming a serious problem. She decided well two could play at this game "Codey!" she said suddenly as she saw the attack coming towards him and it hit him directly. She made a rookie mistake, of course mr rime was going to use a defensive attack like that. She gritted her teeth at Fernando's statement, telling her she was going to lose. But to her now this was a matter of pride, she didnt want to have to rely on him "I'm FINE!" she shouted back at him trying to speak over the raging blizzard that was now also harming her party. Yui knew porygon couldnt do this alone so she had to send him some back up to help. She summoned her chatot and her swablu to battle as well. "Codey go after that frost moth, use lock on and hyper beam!" After that she turned her sights onto Mr rime, that little fucker knew magic coat so porygonz who only knew special moves would be at a complete disadvantage. "Cotton! Use peck on square 5c!" she said for it to translate to attacking Mr rime and to not give him room to breath she's also use a special move in order to prevent him from using counter to hurt cotton "Chatty! also attack 5 c after cotton by using hyper voice!" she said hoping that this would work.

yui happened upon a rather annoying little creature. Mareanies. They wreaked havoc on the Corsola population in Alola and Yui always feared they'd do the same in Hoenn. This mareanie was a PARTICULARLY Nasty kind who was very territorial and hissing at the girl, getting ready to use it's poison on her. So of course she reacted as any normal kid would, and decided to blast the absolute fuck out of it. Yui released porygonz from it's ball and ran back and called out to it "Ok! hyper beam it codey!" And with that, codey fired a ridiculously powerful Hyper beam that set off a rather overly dramatic explosion on the beach. She cheered as codey's lifeless eyes floated back to it's master. Yui knew that move took a lot out of him so they sat on the ground and waited for him to rest up before continuing on their exploration. That was when Yui had he second encounter on her little adventure.

As Fernando himself knew, yui wasn't very suited to field work. The girl had a really good analytical and strategic brain which was useful since she was knowledge on pokemon typings and moves. But her lack of experience with actual battling was made very apparent when it came to split second decisions, she wasn't very good at it. "I-I know." she said kind of irritated with the man, HE WAS OLDER AND A GYM LEADER SHOULDNT HE BE HELPING? [break][break]

She panicked initially as she hadn't had a chance to really plan for this kind of event but Porygonz's gentle nudge as it's lifeless eyes looked at her calmed her down a bit. A calmness came over her, she's got this, this was no different than a game of chess...just with a lot more moving parts. Which lead her to treat it as such "Codey, D5." she said before porygonz suddenly moved to in front of her and fernando. "Tri attack squares 5 c,d,e." she said as the porygon-Z moved to attack the three Pokémon charging at them firing orbs of different colors at the three Pokémon charging at them hoping to cause status effects or alter the terrain slightly to make it harder for them to make a direct approach.[break][break]

Yui decided to leave the safety of the Silph building for a small bit of adventure. She however had to be realllllly crafty to escape silph co during her work ours in order to go play with some Pokémon. But thanks to her hacking skills and Codey helping her out with software she managed to slip out as the cameras sometimes blipped out when she'd walk by. Once free of the building she immediately ran out of the building with her hands in the air screaming as she got out. Little did she know that Fernando wouldn't have cared either way if she got her work done by the end date when he needed it. But oh well, playing pretend was fun so she just rolled with it. Yui has no recollection of her real parents, the orphanage only knew that Yui was sent from Kanto from a young age. That was it, however she wasn't long for the orphanage. As the Silphs came to town and began to adopt children who showed promising potential, she had a spectacular talent for coding. As evident when yui at a very young age attempted to hack into the Silph Co database, she was almost successful before getting caught by FERNANDO SILPH 's parents who instead of imprisoning's the girl for a long long time invited her into joining their family instead. She obviously accepted since she really didn't have much of a choice in the matter since the other options was unthinkable. [break][break]

Several years later Fernando Silph returned from his adventure and met his new family, Yui was still relatively young upon his return and was instantly attached to him since he was the last real silph and connection to her foster parents. She spent a lot of time with fern, playing chess and a wide variety of games (when he'd allow it of course.) and grew attached to him and her new family. They'd play games together often, her favorite being chess in which they both were worthy opponents for one another as their scores are currently even.
