[break][break] Plumes of smoke rise up from the vehicle as Adam Lycaon 's Cinderace smashes it to smitheerens. For his part, Hades is doing a delightful job. He uses GRASS TERRAIN which launches a pelt of grass right beneath the boys' feet, as well as beneath the car. Even though Cinderace was causing death and destruction did not mean it could not look beautiful.

[break][break] Vines slither out from the grass terrain, wrapping around the car's wheels, keeping it in place long enough for the bunny to knock it's lights out.

As the other grumbles on about purchases and money, fortunes that Artie has never had the privileges to worry about, he continues to munch on his bun until it completely devoured. He licks his fingers and sucks on them before releasing them with a pop just as the last of Adam Lycaon's words echoes in his ears.

It should not have come as a surprise to her, not in the way that it was, that Artie would send her on a mission. Despite being a prince — maybe because he was a prince - he was poor at communication and caring for others. When he wanted something done, it would get done, regardless of how anyone else felt about the matter.

Good thing the Wartortle was the obedient sort, at least.

Alongside the others, Athena swam in the harsh undercurrents, holding what appeared to be a treasure chest found within the depths of the abandoned ship. It seemed empty, and therefore relatively useless, or Athena might have been tempted to steal the treasure trove for herself. Every now and then her body shimmered with the power of PROTECT to shield her, as well as the others, from any strong currents that would threaten to wash them ashore.

The other still hadn't taken Artie's offered pastry. Honestly, it was getting to be a little weird. Was he not hungry? No, impossible. There was no way those atrocious noodles had satiated the man's appetite —

Beef spilled a little bit out of the edges, the delicious meaty juices running across Artie's bottom lip. He licked his lips. "That' fine, man," he said, waving him off. "It was a tip! You can give it back." Artie paused. "Or, you can keep it yourself if you want."

Oh wow. Adam Lycaon hadn't invited him here? Strange. How had Artie ended up in this place after all? A junkyard was hardly the place you expected to find a prince.

[break][break] The rabbit's flames licked up the petal dance from earlier, causing the air to taste vaguely of charcoal and smoke. This only seemed to irritate Hades — he hardly liked being the one to be shown up. Twirling once more, he raised his flower arms. The bouquets glowed brilliantly before a bubbling TOXIC liquid began to sprawl among the rocks holding the car up, hissing and growling with effort as the vehicle shook underneath this sudden shift.

Oooh. He was mad.

[break][break] Even Artie, in all his thick-skull thinking and stupid-boy-brainness, could understand this. The other blond stomped up to him, with all the rage of a ill-tempered Mudsdale glowing in his eyes. Even Artie had the sense to step back, only a bit. It wasn't because he was intimidated, mind you. Just — seemed like the right thing to do at the moment.

[break][break] The slaughter of insults that followed was not surprising, nor was it unbearable. Of course, as prince, he had been on his fair share of vocal onslaughts. Not that, of course, that deterred him any.

[break][break] He let a silence pass as the last word of oversized man child (really, this peasant ought to take a language class, his vocabulary was severely lacking) hung through the air. The blond reached into his bag and then took a large bite of the Bouffalant bun that was in his hand, before offering the steaming hot, tasty treat to his new friend.

[break][break] The smell of beef filled the air, no doubt much more delectable than the MSG-ridden monstrosity that Adam had recently purchased.

[break][break] "You want some? It's good, promise."

[break][break] He smiles brilliantly, as if Adam Lycaon was not absolutely seething in front of him.

[break][break] How had Artie ended up here, yet again? No one would know. Maybe Adam had indeed dragged him here like seemed to be implied. Maybe Artie had just appeared out of seemingly thin air.

[break][break] After all, he was the heir to the Circhester throne, the only son in a long, long line of girls. He had broken boundaries then — why not now?

[break][break] Anything was possible, right?

[break][break] "Alright, Hades, let's go!" On command, the Roserade stepped forward and launched a PETAL DANCE. Beautiful flowers sprouted from the seemingly lifeless undergrowth, light sprawling from the grass-type's form. It was breathtaking, almost, the way the pink petals fluttered around both Artie and his pokemon, before turning sharp like knives and crashing into the aforementioned vehicle.

"Yeah," Artie said with a blink, as if it were obvious. Which - honestly - he thought it had been. Was it possible that this was one of the more intellectually challenged peasants? "I wanted to try it."

[break][break] Completely ignorant to the other's building rage, Artie continued to sip on his newly obtained frozen cocktail. Every now and then, he swirled his straw, expression thoughtful — until the other spoke again.

[break][break] Ah. So maybe he wasn't a complete dunce?

[break][break] "Oh," Artie said, with a laugh. "You noticed?" It was true — he had been trying to hide it. Not in a malicious way or anything, more like a curious way. Though, perhaps, there were some things that couldn't really be kept.

[break][break] "Well, it was nice chatting with you," he said cheerfully, pushing himself to his feet. He reached into his pocket and dropped a few hundred in cash - likely a good deal more than the ramen cup and drink were worth - before pushing himself to his feet and walking right out of the "restaurant." Though it was less of a restaurant, and more of a shady booth. His hand reached to flip up the fabric of the roof as he left, just as Adam Lycaon seemed to realize Sir Arthur's crime.

[break][break] The scream was muffled in Artie's own thoughts, as oblivious as he was, as he walked away into the city streets.
