the small projectile knocked against the prince's head, dropping slowly to the ground. bounce, bounce, bounce. artie blinked, glancing down at the small fruit, before glancing to the woman who had thrown it.

[break][break] normally, he would have half a mind to be offended. who would dare throw something at him? however, perhaps it was because it was Stormy Silph and not anyone other, the expression that flitted across his face was not annoyance but joy.

[break][break] "if you wanted to get my attention, sunshine, all you had to do was ask." he hops down from beneath his mighty steed and onto the floor below. he glances then at Ronald Rogers, glancing peculiarly at him — not because he questioned what the other had said, but because it was as if he had just noticed someone else was there. grinning, he claps the other on the shoulder. "right you are! now, why can't you be more like him?" he glances pointedly at Stormy Silph. "he's got the right mind."

[break][break] Greyson Connors 's words throw him offguard and for a moment, artie pauses. it seems like he is actually considering, before he points at Celia Auclair. "i think she's got a diaper in her hands."

[break][break] Plumes of smoke rise up from the vehicle as Adam Lycaon 's Cinderace smashes it to smitheerens. For his part, Hades is doing a delightful job. He uses GRASS TERRAIN which launches a pelt of grass right beneath the boys' feet, as well as beneath the car. Even though Cinderace was causing death and destruction did not mean it could not look beautiful.

[break][break] Vines slither out from the grass terrain, wrapping around the car's wheels, keeping it in place long enough for the bunny to knock it's lights out.

[break][break] how amusing might it have been to the royal throne to know that one of their one - one of their missing was being wrapped up in a situation to find someone else's son? actually, probably not amusing at all. artie's mother had not been known well for her sense of humor.

[break][break] either way, the princling was surprisingly unpertubed by this as he followed the rest of the search party, led by one Celia Auclair who was supposedly the victim's mother. not that artie knew anything about it. he simply thought it had been fun! so he had tagged along. wasn't that how everyone else did things? following the excitement? the fun?

[break][break] it occurs to artieden, briefly, but it is not in-character for him to break the silence. or the lack-therof. octavia nuys continues her monologue all the way from the submarine to their destination of meteor falls, telling story after story. much of it goes over artieden's head, but he is not in the practice of trying to figure out someone else's thoughts as well as his own.

[break][break] it's directed at her phantump. or maybe artieden. the two look side-by-side identical as they blink at the girl who leads them down the path, continuing forth on her rampage.

[break][break] her words are ironic, given the circumstance.

[break][break] as they approach the bottom of the falls, she finally says something that artieden feels like he can contribute to. "i read something in the sub's library about this. rumor has it there was a meteor that crashed here a hundred years ago," he says, pausing. not for dramatic effect, but because he is genuinely trying to recall. "i believe some of our scientists thought it was related to deoxys." none could be proven, though, of course.

It should not have come as a surprise to her, not in the way that it was, that Artie would send her on a mission. Despite being a prince — maybe because he was a prince - he was poor at communication and caring for others. When he wanted something done, it would get done, regardless of how anyone else felt about the matter.

Good thing the Wartortle was the obedient sort, at least.

Alongside the others, Athena swam in the harsh undercurrents, holding what appeared to be a treasure chest found within the depths of the abandoned ship. It seemed empty, and therefore relatively useless, or Athena might have been tempted to steal the treasure trove for herself. Every now and then her body shimmered with the power of PROTECT to shield her, as well as the others, from any strong currents that would threaten to wash them ashore.

The other still hadn't taken Artie's offered pastry. Honestly, it was getting to be a little weird. Was he not hungry? No, impossible. There was no way those atrocious noodles had satiated the man's appetite —

Oh. Was he one of those?

[break][break] Those no-homo bros who didn't want to share food with another man? Aw man. He liked his new friend, but that was kind of in poor taste.

[break][break] Artie blinked in surprise as the blond mentioned the "real" reason that he had been chased down. "Oh!" he said, pushing the bun into his mouth and taking another hearty bite. Beef spilled a little bit out of the edges, the delicious meaty juices running across Artie's bottom lip. He licked his lips. "That' fine, man," he said, waving him off. "It was a tip! You can give it back." Artie paused. "Or, you can keep it yourself if you want."

[break][break] This time, he offered his bag of treats to Adam. If the other looked inside, he would find countless treats — meat buns, sandwiches, even some sushi! Oh, and a few shiny trinkets as well. "Here, if you want your own."

Oh wow. Adam Lycaon hadn't invited him here? Strange. How had Artie ended up in this place after all? A junkyard was hardly the place you expected to find a prince.

[break][break] The rabbit's flames licked up the petal dance from earlier, causing the air to taste vaguely of charcoal and smoke. This only seemed to irritate Hades — he hardly liked being the one to be shown up. Twirling once more, he raised his flower arms. The bouquets glowed brilliantly before a bubbling TOXIC liquid began to sprawl among the rocks holding the car up, hissing and growling with effort as the vehicle shook underneath this sudden shift.

[break][break] Meanwhile, Artie is happy to quip back, "What makes you think it isn't?" His own question drowns out the exclamation of the other.

[break][break] Reaching up with an arm, the plastic bag sliding down his arm to his elbow, he flicked a piece of meat into his mouth and licked his finger. It was really good. The shop had been small but quaint, and had definitely had the makings of what was surely authentic Hoenn cuisine.

[break][break] With his other, he still held the bun out to Adam Lycaon. "If you're worried about feeling bad, don't be. I have a bunch in my bag over here." He raised the aforementioned bag up, jiggling a little bit as if to show that he plenty of things to eat after.

Oooh. He was mad.

[break][break] Even Artie, in all his thick-skull thinking and stupid-boy-brainness, could understand this. The other blond stomped up to him, with all the rage of a ill-tempered Mudsdale glowing in his eyes. Even Artie had the sense to step back, only a bit. It wasn't because he was intimidated, mind you. Just — seemed like the right thing to do at the moment.

[break][break] The slaughter of insults that followed was not surprising, nor was it unbearable. Of course, as prince, he had been on his fair share of vocal onslaughts. Not that, of course, that deterred him any.

[break][break] He let a silence pass as the last word of oversized man child (really, this peasant ought to take a language class, his vocabulary was severely lacking) hung through the air. The blond reached into his bag and then took a large bite of the Bouffalant bun that was in his hand, before offering the steaming hot, tasty treat to his new friend.

[break][break] The smell of beef filled the air, no doubt much more delectable than the MSG-ridden monstrosity that Adam had recently purchased.

[break][break] "You want some? It's good, promise."

[break][break] He smiles brilliantly, as if Adam Lycaon was not absolutely seething in front of him.
