[attr="class","hanatext"]Bandages, iodine, sprays to treat poisons and paralysis. As she gathers more objects and places them into the cart, Rubia begins to bleat at the lack of space. And all it takes is one look for her to understand why, the shadowy claws of Hex dragging far more supplies in then she'd picked up - From small snacks to shiny stickers and tennis balls...

"You're going to put them back?"

Her voice is quiet but still heard loud and clear, a snarl emanating from the puppet as he lets go of the bandage rolls he'd been unrolling. Wordlessly, the shadows slither around her arm, claws digging deep into her shoulders.

"You're going to put them back?"

Cold as the frost etched onto her heart. He flinches at her touch, then shudders as she runs her fingers over his arm. Just like it had been taught, engraved into their existence since their consciousness had woken. It is only when she hears that voice that their gazes part, the understanding of their places crashed down upon by a piece of reality.

Her pace quickens with a brief nod indicating that she heard the apologies. Not here, not now - She's not going to deal with this.

While she's dragging her feet and wading in knee-deep thoughts, he's pulling her along without much regards for the barriers that still remain between them. Just as she considers making up some sort of excuse to leave, Rubia tugs at her socks, bleating wildly as she points to the boy with her free hoof.

"I... Are you sure, Rubia?"

Getting close to someone else seems like far too much trouble. Going as far as to accept an invitation to grab a snack is something that she never would have done in the past.

"Sure... we can go grab a bite, I guess... I've no preferences though." Yet, Lilith listens to the Wooloo and recognises her stubbornness arising, sighing as she sweeps her up into her arms. "What pokemon do you have anyways...?"

[attr="class","hanatext"]She wonders if she remembers how it feels to stand upon a stage - The cold atmosphere, the tension in her limbs and the gentle warble of the first few notes. Does she miss standing before a crowd? Looking down upon the audience as they waltz the night away or speak of grand schemes? The dresses upon her had felt so heavy but she could never protest, not when she knew she had to play the part of a trophy to their name.

Memories consume her like an ocean, pulling her down into the depths and leaving no trace of her consciousness. That's probably why she finds herself snuck upon, jumping a little when an energetic voice tears into her headspace. And it takes her a moment to adjust to reality, blinking as she quietly pulls away from the boy.

"It was..." She pauses to search for a word. "... pleasant."

Her black-fleeced Wooloo bleats at her response, gently kicking Lilith's calves before offering the stranger a cheerful hop and call. Of course, the girl never quite chooses to acknowledge her poor choice of words, instead choosing to take his hand if only out of politeness.

"Lilith..." Her grip is loose and carries a hint of hesitance. "That's Rubia... Nice to meet you, I guess...?"

[attr="class","hanatext"]For a moment, she wonders if her body is going into hypothermal shock. The cold no longer bites into her palms and the chill that once radiated off the Glastrier has faded to a dull winter's ache. And with the observation comes the realisation that her steed has slowed to a halt, whinnying and snorting in what seems to be approval of her skills.

Sliding off its back with a shaky sigh, Lilith's knees almost buckle under her weight. The thought that she might die has never crossed her mind but for a moment, she finds herself relieved to be on solid ground. When she finally gets back up, she's readily tapping a pokeball on its head, watching it disappear in a flash of red before promptly calling it back out.

"Doubt you want to be cooped up." She whispers, running her fingers over the chilly points of its sculpted mane. "Just be sure to come when I call..."

When she calls... She needs to give it a name, doesn't she?

"Will Sylva suffice?"

The Glastrier crooks its head, snorting at the name offered up. Then, it disappears in a cloud of powdered snow.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Her past experiences brew a rather strange and bitter sense of nostalgia upon her tongue - The way the equine lurches forwards is telling of an upcoming jump and she braces herself for the jerking motion. It lands with a thunderous stomping of icy hooves, letting out what seems to be a snort of contempt - Perhaps, it had noticed the way she locked up instead of relaxing herself. Perhaps, it was brushing this off as a fluke on her part.

Regardless of the truth behind the matter, it goes for a jump once more, adding a little more momentum to the leap as if hoping it'd be enough to throw her off. Still, her stubbornness reigns supreme over its pride, latching tight to its graceful stampede and taunting it to go further. More than anything, she's beginning to see its true potential, grasping the extent of the power it has and readying herself to take it for her own.

Sooner or later, it will yield.

[attr="class","hanatext"]It begins with a trot, with the rhythm of its footsteps slowly building up to a gallop. Icy reins may freeze and eat into her palms, but it means nothing compared to the chilling winds that cut at her skin, nor the spiralling void that grows in her stomach.

The serpent hisses in her ears, her back burning as its tail rattles. That frigid agony that arises from reddening hands reminds her a little too clearly of monsters that should remain asleep. Yet, she bites her tongue and swallows her swears - It's unbecoming of someone like her.

No matter what, this Glastrier is gonna have to try harder if it wants to shake her off.

[attr="class","hanatext"]As agreed without words, it waits for them with that cold, empty look. Only difference this time is that it lacks that aura of hesitance, which has long been replaced by an air of dignity -

It's judgement time.

When Rubia bleats at her, she's rolling her shoulder back, taking a deep breath before reaching out for the reins. "Stay here" is the only thing she can hope to say, her body flinching in response to the sudden cold spreading across her skin. Not even gloves can stop the chill from biting at old scars, so what's to say that the frost won't eat through the Wooloo's fleece?

As Glastrier steadily pulls her away from the companionship of her pokemon, her heart begins to falter. But she can't be dissuaded and she won't let go - It's as if the gnawing cold has driven its desire deep into her flesh; Giving up now would probably be the stupidest thing she could do.

"Let's see who'll win... your pride? Or my stubbornness?"

[attr="class","hanatext"]Its rampage drove the entire of Crown Tundra into distress, or so the rumours went. For one as mighty and fearsome as this rumoured horse, this Glastrier doesn't seem to be anymore different than a Ponyta or Zebstrika. Still, she'll hold off on judgement, calling upon her pokemon as she rolls her sleeves up.

Nereid Soaks the Glastrier with gentle streams of water and Mocha cheerfully lends a Helping Hand. With a little bit of effort, the dirt slowly scrubs right off, revealing the pure ice laying beneath. As the duo works on that, Lilith tries her best to trim the unruly edges of its mane, all the while wondering how long it'll take before its appearance goes to ruins again.

"A surprisingly busy one, aren't you?" She murmurs, pulling away to check her work before continuing to refine it. "Just how many of your kind are out there?" When the Glastrier merely snorts and begins to fidget, Lilith sighs, pulling a berry from her pouch and offering it up.

"A little longer, then you can go. Would be dumb to come to us for help then leave when it's only half-finished, right?"

As soon as Mocha gives the okay, Lilith's giving the Glastrier one final pat.

"Same time tomorrow, I'm guessing?"

And it promptly flashes away.

[attr="class","hanatext"]She hovers like a moth drawn to a flame, entranced by the soft humming of strings as they craft a story lesser known. How long has it been since she's caressed the polished surfaces of an instrument? Though her adventures have surely hardened her heart and bruised her hands, she will never forget the sensation of cold metal pressed against her fingertips.

It sings to her of a brighter childhood, one where she'd be oblivious to the duties she would inherit as the years began to set in. And oh, how easy it is to fall back into a stance, her eyes closed as her hands begin to move - The quiet bowing, the placement of her fingers upon those non-existent strings. Each note he plays resonates with her humming, her movements almost mimicking his every own as she dips her bow and meticulously decorates each vibrato.

It's his stage but it's her show all the same, contained in his shadow as she creates a unique reflection of his chosen piece - Each stage of grief beautifully dissected and laid down before her feet, she begins to remember how much she misses it.

Pity that she isn't simply able to get it back.

[attr="class","hanatext"]It's always this time of the year where it becomes a hunting ground for the hungry - No matter where she goes, no matter how different the places may be, ravenous monsters will always wander the aisles. She swears she's seen one try to tackle another whilst fighting over the last piece of thigh meat, and another attempt to negotiate a peaceful exchange to no avail. Thankfully, she's come prepared for the hunt, her icy aura staving off any attempts on her belongings and her faithful pokemon doing well to warn her of anyone who fail to understand the set boundaries.

With any luck, she'll be able to escape this hell without much hassle - Another approaching mother is promptly deterred when her arctic glare scares the child. Hex cackles gleefully at the sight, his head flopping and shaking violently as his shadowy tendrils drip over the side of the shopping cart.

"Still." Comes the command, unyielding to the pleading whines of her Mimikyu. Keeping their supplies safe from others doesn't mean draw unnecessary attention to them, much less do anything that could get them kicked out of the store. "We just need the medical supplies and we'll be out of here."

She hopes.

Some part of her thinks to turn down the request simply because this bond they share was supposed to be a fleeting one. But instead she keeps silent, busying herself with combing through Eclipse's tangled fur and feigning inattentiveness.

"I found a horse the other day... one that originates from your region, if I were to go off guesses alone."

Found wasn't quite the right word. Enticed it with strange carrots seemed like a more apt description.

"Everything seems to be centralising in this region... curious, isn't it?"

[attr="class","hanatext"]To tame any creature, you must be sensitive to its needs. Show them a little more attention than the others and perhaps, they may become one of your greatest assets. Whilst fear had been taught to her as a tool used to control, it was always emphasised that true loyalty would never be fostered from fear alone.

And so she waits for it to grace her presence once more, as regal or unkempt as its appearance may be. Today, it seems like she's visited by one of the latter description, uneven ice chunks growing longer than she recalls it ever being. Thankfully, she's already thought through the possibilities that may present itself before her and merely ties her hair back as she readies herself to get to work.

As the Conkeldurr Chips Away at the larger portions of ice, she works to chisel and file the uneven edges left behind, careful not to stand behind it lest she find herself kicked in the stomach. Eventually, the icy manes and hooves are restored to their former glory, small decorative pieces added with the Glastrier's inherent snorts of approval.

Just like before, it doesn't dally after ascertaining its groomed looks, merely sparing her an empty gaze before flickering away like a spectre in the passing wind.

A little more, she's certain that it's warming up to her. Soon enough, trust will no longer be a problem but rather, worthiness will. And so, she packs up for the day.

Way colder than the climate she's used to, but she's adapted after spending a few weeks there. Slipping back into her memories draws a lengthy sigh from her lips; She wonders if Rowan is staying safe even amidst this chaos.

With her sketch more or less finished, the notebook is handed back to its rightful owner with a light flourish, pen aligned perfectly along the spine with pen nib retracted. "I'll take a look around those areas. Many thanks for your assistance, Sir Wledig."

The cleaner a place is, the darker the secrets it holds - Given the track record of flourishing cities, she's sure that she'll be able to find ways back to her roots if she so as much asserted her identity. But for now, she's still vastly unprepared to face the monsters that lurk beneath.

"So, do you require tips on how to take care of your carrots...? Or are you simply going to wing it?"
