[attr="class","hanatext"]Cat's definition of fun is most definitely a skewed one, but one that probably arises from her lack of experience. A vast expanse of land that lays upon the horizon, promises of adventures and mayhem carried upon foreign winds - She's obviously swept up by the excitement of striking out on her own.

"Gym challenges can be rough, but most of the leaders here seem more focused on teaching a lesson. Show that you understand and you usually come out on top." As if it were their duty to teach the next generation of trainers how to act, they would go around feeding them morals that should have existed within their heart to begin with. But if she were to undergo their trials herself, would she be able to meet the expectations set?

Did she even hold a shred of the heart that they sought after? Did she even possess a heart for others anymore?

Eclipse's little yowls of protest jolts her out of her swim in the overflowing thoughts, a hand instinctively reaching for the fox and combing his slicked fur back.

"No plans... Just wandering the region..."

And getting herself involved once more in that scarlet trade - She lies about her intentions, but it's for the sake of protecting herself. Cat has no need to get herself caught in the webs of the dead, merely needs to keep her cheerful self and remain a light for others.

"Same as always... travel the region, see what it has to offer, then move on."

[attr="class","hanatext"]Her motives are far from benevolent, but they don't quite delve into the depths of exploitation or mistreatment either. It is merely curiosity that fuels her actions, a willingness to defy the heavens that guides her hand.

When she spies its unwillingness to approach, Lilith doesn't see a divine beast but rather, a wild pokemon that's just as wary as any other. Instinctively, her hands reach for her pouch, pulling out a Grepa berry and offering it up. Just like the last time, it considers the possibility of danger, but doesn't heed it when tempted by food. Once its icy teeth chew down on the sweet treat, it disappears in a cloud of powdered snow, fleeing once more to whatever den it must have stumbled out of.

Over her shoulders, Hex growls, his shivers steadily growing into visible tremors as shadows seep from under his cloak.

"Still."

But the hand held out commands silence, a quaint tenseness falling over them as she gazes at the tracks in the snow. It'll be back. All she has to do is be patient.

Beautiful... how remarkably beautiful it is to witness the justified fall into depravity. It's here that they embrace themselves for what they are, that they lapse back into the monstrosities that they truly are. Self-righteous, blinded by their morals and driven by their hatred for all things impure - They are the most flawed of creatures that exist within this living nightmare.

Brutality is set upon his partner, death bells ringing for one so loyal to the darkness. It bites, then bites again, rows of teeth imprinted into the flesh of the walking dead. If it must die, then it will go out leaving a scar on those who have stolen from it.

And yet, he feels nothing watching that body go limp, merely sticks to his assignment even as his arm snaps. The knife is thrown from the crippled to the still functional, a gap in his target's defenses allowing him to take a precise swipe across the length of his chest. One swipe and that will be all he needs to complete this masterpiece.

As the curtains begin to fall upon this tragedy, the last of the trio grins, the earth rumbling beneath its feet. In seconds, rocks pierce the chest, driving themselves clean through the heart as they shoot forth with a trail of red in their wake.

Destroy him beyond recovery and recognition, leave nothing to chance - The orders given are absolute and chiselled deep into the bone. Though the man seeks answers, he shall receive nothing no matter how hard he tries. Only the stench of death will linger upon his hands, the lone Lycanroc long escaping in a cloud of dust; No doubt carrying the outcomes of their mission to those who pulls the strings.

Fall deeper into despair, fall further from the perfection that you think yourself to be. Amor stands upon the precipice of this realisation and he's sinking faster than ever could be expected. Though death is most certainly an end to one's path, the wounds he bears will seem to carry nothing but anger and a twisted love.

There is always more than one way to kill a man.

Sooner or later, Amor Rose will join his family in their pitiful fall.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Getting her hands dirty has never been a preference of hers, but there simply are times where she has to act.

The room runs red, her fingertips stained with sin. Bodies lay strewn across the ground, marked with gashes and left to despair. When she walks, it's in silence, her heels barely clicking even as she steps over the fallen men.

Dainty, poised, a doll adorned by a crown of roses.

Her attention first goes to the cages nearby, filled with rattling and nervous chitters but never seeming to elicit a scream. They look at her with just as much fear as they do the rest, but they don't act up for they have been trained not to. Reaching a hand through the bars, her emotions barely flicker even at how they flinch away, merely swirls then dissipates like a breath on the wind.

She pulls away without any further hesitation, turning her attention to the lock that seals the creature away. From her pockets, a pin is drawn, stuck into the keyhole and nimbly fiddled with even as one of the guards begins to stir. But before he's even able to catch a glimpse of his assailant, the world goes dark, a strong blow to the back of his head knocking him out for good.

"I hope you didn't kill him."

Cackles ring from all around her, shadows swirling as something swims through the darkness. It watches with keen eyes, tracks any living soul that breathes and disposes of any who remain conscious - A creature shaped by the darkness itself.

"I'm not cleaning up after you."

A warning duly noted.

[attr="class","hanatext"]It's nice catching him off-guard like this, talking about such little things in life that don't seem to matter more than in the present. She bares her heart, she speaks her truth, she's reminded that she's just a teen wandering through life and remains unshackled to the past she's left behind.

"I barely talk to people and you expect me to have somehow fallen in love with someone. You may be dumb but hopefully not that dumb." Helping Hex onto her shoulder, she ignores how he drenches her in fountain water, undisturbed by the cold even as it trickles down her back. "Are there even decent people around here with all the world-ending stuff that happens all year round? Even Rocket remerging in the region... I don't think finding love is on the top of my priorities."

[attr="class","hanatext"]It approaches, sooner than she has anticipated. Her eyes meet with the masked creature and though she can't see its eyes, she can most certainly feel its gaze upon her.

The frost kisses her skin, beckoning her to shiver in its presence when it draws near. Yule, on the other hand, seems relatively at ease, curiosity leading her to paw at the equine. It's strange and unnatural, a force of nature that they won't be able to comprehend just yet. Even so, she knows what it's here for and she will not deny it of its desires.

The carrot is held up without a shred of hesitance, months of hardwork willingly offered to a beast who may not even respond to her thoughts. It grabs the carrot, then flashes away but her heart readily rebukes the thought, urging her to return the next day.

One way or another, she will pursue the trail that's been left.

The disbandment of Rocket took place 3 years ago, she'd heard about that much. But the resurgence? She's losing her touch for information gathering, isn't she?

"I just want a place I can be free. Ideally, I don't want to get in any trouble." It's neither a lie, nor is it a statement that unravels her truth. Not ever having the need to look over her shoulders, nor worry about being found when she tries to close her eyes at night - She's been living as close to a regular life as anyone can get. Or at least, that's how she perceives it to be.

"I figured things were under control here."

[attr="class","hanatext"]Stars always seek spotlight, and it's by no means her place to drag light away from where it belongs. She merely nods at the request, smiling softly as she places a slip of paper in Melody's hands.

"If you ever want to talk..."

Her number is something rarely given out, but something tells her that Melody won't be the kind to bring a cataclysm with her mere presence. It's an added bonus that she knows Rowan, so why not give her a chance to meet in a quieter place far from all this madness?

Lilith does have to admit, for someone that got kidnapped by Rocket not too long ago, the singer's a little too carefree and perhaps, remains a little too naive. But who is she to judge another for putting on a mask before the masses? She just prays that Melody won't lose her way and find herself consumed by the spotlight.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Keen eyes scan the titles with some form of impatience, talons needlessly clicking against the book trolley as he thinks long and hard about where such a novel would go. The author's name starts with an L, so perhaps he should begin from that section of the library? Even as he spreads his wings and swoops between the shelves with book in tow, Kin can't help but let his gaze wander ever so often, picking out authors and titles of interest and committing their positions to memory.

Perhaps, this could be helpful in his trainer's pursuit for knowledge, whatever it is that she's finding. For now, he just wants to get this done quickly so he can stop breathing in the shower of dust.

Gone was the angry child that she'd known in Galar, a newfound freedom having put his soul at ease.

"Don't go doing things you shouldn't, you two. Your kids are watching." She gestures to the pokemon they cradle, sending them off with nothing but a knowing smirk. But then once they leave, she's all alone. With Melody Miro.

How awkward.
