Killian's been little more than a quiet observer so far. Ignoring the conversation he'd started with Giona in favor of listening to the coward. They had thoughts, concerns - and Rowan Wrynn voices caution in the face of the unknown.

The Rocket Beast isn't wrong. It's nice to see his growth from stumbling and getting Alexandra Briarwood captured to the man he is now. Silent praise is all the admin can offer, however. His thoughts and focus are pulled elsewhere.

bryan delarosa stepped forward, and a dark brow arched. So he'd gotten a VIP pass to be a human test subject? And his speech made it clear he's willing to risk it all. Killian can't help but respect the man's willingness to go to any lengths for those he cherished.

A shared trait.

Slipping both hands into his pockets, Killian stepped away from the crowd to join Bryan and the other higher-ups on stage. "Good speech." even if Killian hated them. He gave Cillian Quinn and then Chu-e Choi a knowing look.

"I won't cut in line, tempting as it is, but I assume my second place medal is still good?"

"Yeah, according to Stormy Silph, it caused quite a scene and then fled."

That's an understatement, honestly. From what Killian's been told and read, Deoxys invaded the body of a Megalopolan. Would he share that fate if he found it?

He shuddered at the thought.

Killian chuckled, flashing Gavin a smile. "I have it. The League weren't putting it to good use, so Lex and I liberated it from them." he held a finger against his lips, a low shh escaping. "But if anyone asks, it was gorgeous HNN reporter and her handsome cameraman."

The playful act is dropped when the conversation veers back to seriousness. A hand slipped into Killian's pocket as his attention turned to Lugia.

"I don't know. If I had to guess? Maybe. It came in on one, but that doesn't mean it's powerful enough to destroy a meteor. But Deoxys is powerful that much I'm sure of."

That and the want - the need.

Cillian Quinn

"Hm?"

Killian looked up from his computer to eye the ever-elegant Mars. The question tossed his way is deceptively simple. If he's keeping his word to Alexandra Briarwood, the answer should be a 3 or 4. Unfortunately, today he's going a bit harder than needed.

Sheepishly, he smiled. "About a five, but I can make time." especially if there's whiskey involved.

He motioned for Mars to come inside, the Galarian Slowking at the door, Queen, stepping aside so he could enter. Thankfully, she and her partner Kingsly recently finished cleaning Killian's office. The usual mess of books that made navigating to a chair trying lay neatly on the shelves that lined the walls.

"We celebrating your promotion, or did you just miss my charming personality?"

I accept the terms of this agreement.

A bamboo forest? What a strange thing to find inside a tree. "Be careful." he warned the two ladies next to him. It's mostly for his benefit. Neither of them needed a reminder of the danger they faced.

Danger. The unknown.

Killian's heart raced in his chest. He lived for this shit more than anyone would ever know.

When they approached the statue, the admin released his Ditto before reaching his hand inside. "Can you copy the shape the?" he'd never seen anything like it before. The statue resembled a Growlithe but different - more wild in appearance.

The blob of flesh eyed the statue and quickly Transformed into its shape. It only had looks to go on, so Ditto got no power from shapeshifting, but it did look adorable now. A cute black and white puppy with a tuff of fur over its face, trotting behind Killian.

Killian looked at his fortune.

"Hmm."

Good or bad, he's sure he'd find out soon enough.

"What you guys get?" he asked @ari and Alexandra Briarwood.

Her hold on his waist is awkward and full of nerves. If he can feel it, then the Mudsdale can, and that's going to slow them down. "Relax," his tone is soft, a stark contrast to the commanding vocals he wielded before.

"And tighten your hold." Killian flashed her a smile over his shoulder and reached for a Poke Ball on his waist.

The Beheeyem inside materialized in a flash. Immediately the lights on its face blinked in response to the energy in the area.

"Interesting..."

If the stars aligned, this could be a sign of Deoxys.

"Stay close to use and help her look for anything strange." he tugged on the Mudsdale's reins. The beast of burden took off in a steady trot.

"Names Ian."

It's a little late to introduce himself but better late than never.

Spencer Hale

"Great."

Killian mounted the Mudsdale, nostalgia hitting him in waves. The last time he'd rode a horse was when he and Lex met those Spectrier on Mt.Pyre. Man, that felt like ages ago.

He pushed the feeling aside and offered Spencer his hand.

"Let me know when you're secure, and we'll get going."

Spencer Hale

"It's an alien."

He looked up at the sky. The hunt for Deoxys consumed him lately. Alexandra Briarwood called it an obsession, but Killian didn't see it that way. He wasn't sure what to call his search. He only knew that he needed the creature.

"It crashed landed in Meteor Falls during the three-day war. The League had a piece of the meteor it rode in on stashed away in Mossdeep until recently."

You know, because he and Lex stole it.

"I don't know much about Deoxys, admittedly. Lulu was helping me locate it when we learned about the asteroid."

Cillian Quinn

"No, but you're here, and people are missing."

Honestly, if she said no, it be better for Killian. He wouldn't have to pretend to look for the missing joggers.

He glanced back at the ground-type.

"You're welcome to walk, but it be faster if you rode with."

Spencer Hale

Killian couldn't care less about the people lost jogging. The only reason he's here is to investigate the energy being emitted in the area. He reckoned something extraterrestrial was the source. Likely Elgyem or Beheeyem, but Killian couldn't rule out the possibility of it being his tentacled friend.

The admin leaned against the side of his Mudsdale. A sturdy Pokemon perfect for horse-baking riding who'd hopefully speed things along.

"I think if we split up into groups of two, the search should go faster." he exclaimed to the rangers. "You there," a finger pointed to Spencer Hale, "we could check the northern area while the rangers take the south."
