Killian hadn't anticipated such a grotesque change in the Eevee. Its bloated and swollen limbs unnerve the stomach, but sympathy remained a foreign concept for the underboss. The need to know consumed him like the cells eating away at the Pokerus.

Host mimicked parasite when its food ran out. "Yes, continue."

Diamond hues shifted from the computer screen to Pokemon as the DX-Cells continued their work. Would the Eevee persist in bloating or disappear as Deoxys ate away it? Something else happen entirely? Better still - could the Eevee's genetic instability win out in the end, force it to adapt?

Killian wet his lips, eager for the answer.

Now that his focus lay solely on the message, it didn't take Killian long to decode it. A language from another world but familiar enough to his own, slotting the pieces together became easy. [break][break]

"Robe of fire rats." whoever left this message demanded they be brought one. The underboss clicked his tongue. "Next time, stranger." because he definitely didn't have that, whatever it was, on him now. [break][break]

"Deoxys, can you remember this location for next time?" the alien hummed a sound Killian as a yes. "Excellent." [break][break]

He turned back the way they'd come, spinning on his heels. A blast of wind cut down the side of the crater in his direction, blowing hair about and forcing Killian to shield his eyes. He hadn't sent Nina off to deal with more than she could handle, had he? [break][break]

Killian ran toward the lip of the crater, jumping out of it as he neared the edge. Landing with a thud and cloud of dust, he clicked a Poke Ball on his waist, releasing an Orbeetle. The ladybug reached for nina larson's mind with TELEPATHY.[break][break]

"It's time to go, Nina. Staying in this space any longer will take its toll on our bodies. Meet me at the edge of the crater and we'll make our escape."

He'd have to finish that sentence later. Nina's question and a shout from above derailed his thoughts. Diamond blues shot up to the Celesteela - "An Ultra Beast." It looked like it was about to land on them. Killian clicked his tongue, cursing his luck. [break][break]

He didn't give Nina a choice, grabbing hold of her arm to drag her sliding down the side of the crater behind him.
