Electricity wraps her figure, crackles off her skin and dissipates as they reach out in waves. She can feel it - No, it'd be more correct to say that she can't feel it. So much so that he startles a Floette that's just passing by. Oh, how terrified the poor fae is to see those sharp teeth shear and chomp. With a dramatic sigh, they fall right out of the sky. Thankfully, Eris has both the reactions and instincts to reach out for them, catching the pokemon before they hit the ground and possibly get trampled by the ever bustling crowd.[break][break]

"Use as in... treat them like tools?" As much as she takes in the idea presented by the stranger, her attention is torn in several directions as she tries to fan the Floette. "Or just keeping them around as companions?"[break][break]

A quiet groan. The Floette begins to stir within her palms.[break][break]

"I think ghost-wise... as long as they're not actively trying to hurt anyone, they should just be left alone and allowed to live wherever they wanna!"

She doesn't know whether that should be better attributed to his luck or his stubbornness but if it means he comes home, she will not question it that hard.[break][break]

The dead people. The pain of crystals slitting her skin. The excruciating injuries that Isaac sustained. The steady decline as one by one, her pillars of strength seem to crumble and fall.[break][break]

Whilst she might hold her tongue with respect for what Hideo said, for the knowledge that Doug would not have done such a thing, she cannot hold back the tears that have welled up. She cannot blink them away. Each time she tries, it only gets worse. The tears singe at her cheeks and make her wish that she hadn't been given this space.[break][break]

Hell, she can barely process the fact that they've actually left a mark against her. And perhaps, now isn't the right time to be doing so. Hattori buys them time, precious seconds that are only extended by the way that he's drawn Diancie's ire. Her thoughts received, her will be done. A catalyst to his reaction, the exuding static builds upon the power that he already possesses. "We were in the pit. Where they throw leftovers and bodies." She imagines that Hideo must've felt it, but couldn't fully comprehend it without anyone telling him. "There was a pokemon running around and hurting all of us."[break][break]

[attr="class","nikki109"]For once, he doesn't fight her. At the very least, he has enough sense to understand that he is in no position to refuse with those injuries. No more pokemon to watch his back, no more powers to bail him out of a deadly scenario.[break][break]

It is only when he falls asleep that she considers doing the same, but sleep doesn't come easy. It is an uphill battle against both nerves and wandering mind. Though her eyes are closed and her consciousness begins to fade, she is caught upon that final layer before the great darkness, entangled by a web of intrusive thoughts.[break][break]

Would their wardens be cruel enough to attack them in their sleep? Possibly, but that only means that she should get as much rest as she can before they attempt to strike. Whatever happens, they'd have to get through her to hurt Isaac. She's certain of that much.[break][break]

What if this is a test of will? To see who succumbs to exhaustion first, then punish them for not pushing themselves harder? What if they spring some kind of trap within the night? Who will they hurt next? What if they kill Reiner while she's sleeping? No, she can't just sleep now. But if she doesn't, will she be in any state to help tomorrow?[break][break]

A quiet whimper lays upon the gently snoring, but her eyelids are far too heavy for her to open. He needs her to stay strong. For his sake. She can't let herself be worn down. She can't afford to be useless -[break][break]

Doused by warmth. Not one that burns but one melts away the cold sensation of the floor. She can hear something rumbling above her, but it's far too soft. Far too kind. It must be hallucinations whipped up by a desperate mind. She doesn't want to open her eyes. She doesn't want this comfort to dissipate.[break][break]

Surely, she's allowed this much in a hell like this?[break][break]

She doesn't know when she'd fallen asleep. When the dreary cell and unmoving metal bars had changed to bright city lights and a cacophony of sound. Friendly faces flood the streets, but none of them fit the definition of what she'd call human. Is this a megalopolan city? Is she the only one here?[break][break]

Her footsteps carry her, grant her deepest wish of discovery. Not for her own amusement but an incessant need to know all she can to survive. There are others who share the same hell as her, pokemon scattered all throughout the city. At some point, she'd find Reiner, she knows she will. But there are others that must be looked for -[break][break]

Mesprit. Had they really been caught up in all of this? What this why they weren't coming to her aid? And the nonsense that these megalopolans seem to be spouting... They're victims in this too? But they are present, and somehow lucid in this dreamscape.[break][break]

That would mean that she is here too, wouldn't it? That green-cloaked ogre that had attacked them earlier. If Ogerpon were a victim too, would she be in this dream too? Would there be a way to reach her? Would she be able to kick and smash those container withholding their pokemon?[break][break]

Deep breaths: In and out. Sharpen the senses, get herself moving. Search first, she can afford to ask questions later if they really cross paths.
