[attr="class","eris109"]When there are things in the world you do not understand, it is best to seek those that would hold the knowledge. In this very case, that would be the experts and archaeologists who manage the museum.[break][break]

Her arms are wrapped around her bag as she squeezes and shuffles her way through the crowd, apologies murmured as she earns herself a dirty look or two. At the very least, they aren't getting shoved about by a Luxray. Arceus, Reiner would have hated walking here.[break][break]

It's only when she crests the museum steps that she dares let him out, a roll of his eyes and the scrunch of his nose telling her what she already knows. So she winds up rolling her own eyes, butting her shoulder against his as she leads the way into the museum.[break][break]

Straight towards the information desk she goes, a polite question of where a certain Yuina Higashi's office may be. The lady that attends to her seems a little surprised. Then again, that exchange of messages doesn't look forged in the slightest. Why would they be? What's a child possibly going to do to that poor lady?[break][break]

With a guide by her side, the walk to the office isn't hard at all. Hell, they even have a nice little conversation about the new cafe just two blocks away. At least, until their arrival at her destination breaks the flow. A sharp rap of knuckles against the door, the lady gives her a quiet smile and an encouraging thumbs up before she takes her leave.[break][break]

Well, nothing to lose. One hand twisting the handle, she pushes the door ajar.[break][break]

"Miss Yuina? Are you busy?"

The quick and sudden onset of forgoing most forms of recovery and rest after the first bout of the war and instead choosing to dive head first into the work surrounding the 'golden glowing' Pokémon and the tablets that were emerging all across Hoenn might not have been the best coping mechanism that Yuina could have mustered... But it was effective.[break][break]
As more and more of the Pokémon appeared through the region, Yuina was making trips back and forth between the next destination and her office, hardly stopping for much else in between as she worked on her research, her translations... The language that had just come to light through her work that she was carefully trying to understand. Her studious efforts didn't go unnoticed by the few that she had interacted with during this time, and word might have spread, Yuina had been contacted by Eris, about one of the tablets she had found.[break][break]
Where the door quietly and carefully pushed open, open books and photo copied pages adorned many flat surface and portions of the wall, notes scrawled in a mixture of written word and the characters of the language Yuina was working on. She'd been working on quite a bit for quite a while now...[break][break]
"Hmm? Eris," Yuina blinked behind her glasses as she looked up from her desk.[break]
"Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't realize what time it was," she muttered, it felt strange to say though given that she felt like she could still feel the sand falling through the proverbial hourglass every passing second.[break][break]
"Come in," she offered all the same though, gesturing for Eris to step inside.

[attr="class","eris109"]It's good news to know that Yuina Higashi isn't bedridden by injuries or missing due to some Rocket ambush. But the exhaustion that belies her voice makes Eris wonder if it really is a good idea to be bothering the woman about this.[break][break]

Stepping in, she allows Reiner the chance to close it. After all, he'd give her quite the dirty look if she were to deny him even the simplest of tasks. The careful bandages around his chest only stopped him from battling, not moving in its entirety.[break][break]

"You look very busy." The scribbles and scrawls around her room remind her of her own crazed sessions. "Have you had time to rest?"

Sitting up a bit straighter at her desk, Yuina watched Eris open the door a bit wider, where Reiner stepped in behind her. Her eyes flicked to the bandages that wrapped around the feline's chest, a sore reminder of what had transpired only days ago... It was good to see that they were both standing upright at minimum. It brought a faint relief to Yuina, she could feel it in her chest.[break][break]
"Oh, no, uhm... I'm sorry things are a bit of a mess right now. Just hard to get things organized sometimes," Yuina admitted first, she was busy, but her office looked busier... For better or for worse. She did stand to close up some of the open books on her desk, stacking some papers, to make space for Eris and her visit.[break][break]
Looking up from behind her glasses, Yuina's gaze softened, Eris was too kind to let Yuina's state escape her.[break]
"Hmm, some, here and there... Its easier right now to stay working on something for a little while... ," she returned softly, she wouldn't lie... She wasn't resting, and she had a lot of reasons she couldn't... But it was just in the wake of all that had happened, everything she was trying to sift through and come to terms with...[break][break]
"You said you had something you wanted to take a look at though? What have you found?"

If Yuina says she's had some rest, she has no reason to bug her about it. May as well do what they can while keeping a close eye on her.[break][break]

"So, it's a plate with a weird passage on it." Reaching into her bag, she riffles about for a moment. The sensation of pages and other objects bumping against her knuckles melts with the sting upon her fingertips. Eventually, she does find it: A strange shard with words carved onto its back and carefully handed over.[break][break]

"The original one is in all things, the original one is nowhere at all."

The familiarity that Eris brings, an unspoken comfort that they shared, and words beyond what they've ever actually spoken to each other gives Yuina a bit of ease. She welcomes Eris to her desk as the younger steps forward, regarding what it was they had meant to meet up for and discuss.[break][break]
"Please, you can sit if you want Eris. I'm sure you still need some comfort and rest where you can get it too," she encouraged, glancing though to the tablet that she drew out of her bag.[break][break]
"Hmm," she listened first, adjusting her glasses on the bridge of her nose before reaching down to a drawer on her desk and pulling it open. The old, worn wood smoothed against itself as she opened and closed it, setting out a tablet that was very similar to the one Eris presented, though it were a different color, and a different inscription as it seemed.[break][break]
"Where all creation was born, that is the being's place of origin," Yuina read aloud, before glancing back to Eris.[break]
"Where did you find yours?"

Watching Eris for a moment, Yuina doesn't hesitate to push the tablet towards her, turning it, so she could see the both of them side by side. Yuina too looked over them both, noting the script, the size, the wording, all very similar to say at least that they had to be related in some way. Truly the only difference was the colors between the two otherwise.[break][break]
"Yes," Yuina replied, sitting back in her chair, adjusting her glasses.[break]
"The flood waters from the storm did a lot of damage, shifted everything around. They could have truly come from anywhere," she offered, they could have been caught by a rampant current, they could have been buried within some of the collapsed walls, trudged up from the cave of origins. There really was no telling.[break][break]
"Do you think it's a coincidence, that something like these would show up in those two places?"

That was a topic more up Hideo Kino's alley, and one that she seems a little uncomfortable with bringing up around Yuina.[break][break]

"The original one referring to the creator of creations, Arceus. Of which the Triad has been trying to not let us get perceived by." She sighs, putting the plate back onto the table before rummaging through her bag once more. "Do you remember that swarm of Smeargle that were tossing legendary attacks around?"

Quick to answer, the same way that Yuina was leaning. It couldn't be a coincidence, how could it be?[break]
Though Yuina faltered a bit at the mention of their 'wardens'... She knew the toxic chain was still in play, she continued to find various Pokémon afflicted by it. But she'd hoped vehemently not to see any indication that those treacherous monsters might still be out there... Especially after she was sure they had all witnessed their demise.[break][break]
She doesn't touch on the subject though, sometimes she still sees magenta at the corners of her vision, it's still a bit too soon...[break][break]
"Arceus has many names it seems, some of which I've been studying too. 'The Original One', 'The Almighty Unknowable', 'Almighty Sinnoh'. 'Almighty Unknowable' is how its most commonly noted in the texts I've been translating," Yuina returned, glancing around her office, to the various notes, scrawls of common word and dead language muddled together.[break][break]
"I do remember that, it was strange, seeing the interference firsthand," she recalled, passing by in particular the mention of the triad. Her fingers flexed at the cover of a book that she held in her hands, scratching against those miniscule threads.

"They haven't been able to sketch the moves of legends ever since." She'd tested once, with her own Smeargle and Mesprit. "I assume it's because things were being returned to the way they should be."[break][break]

Smeargles probably didn't run into legends every month like the one's of Hoenn did. As she lingers on the thought, she notices just how Yuina fidgets with a book (When had she picked it up?).[break][break]

"Well, who's to say truly? These scripts are centuries old, and legend and lore are constantly changing as they're retold and passed down," Yuina considered Eris' words. Nothing was out of the question when it came to interpretations without proof.[break][break]
The Smeargle did raise a lot of questions about what kind of divine interference was taking place, but in that same echelon of them not being able to take on the power of legendary Pokemon and their attacks so suddenly, then why had the 'golden glowing pokemon' began to appear in tandem?[break][break]
"Mmm, I'm not so sure. It might have been some divine correction at the time, but those 'golden glowing pokemon' might be indicitive of the opposite...," Yuina wondered, had Eris seen the reports? Or encountered one herself?[break][break]
"This is an old tome I've been working on translating... It's taken some time though, and I've only been able to discern a handful of pages because it's in a different, more root dialect than what I've been studying."

Mystery woven into the words she'd lifted, a tale whose meaning has yet to be unravelled.[break][break]

"They're warning us not to continue messing around with the realm of divinity. The closer we try to get to their everlasting light, the darker this path will grow."[break][break]

But of course, what is this region if not for a trainwreck deadset on testing their limits and committing deicide? She frowns, eyes briefly tracing over the length of her arm.[break][break]

"Could I take a look at it? What's it about?"

Eris drew out a small journal of hers, worn and tattered with all of the experiences that she too had gone through it seemed. But as she began to read, Yuina's quiet contemplation turned to studious concern.[break][break]
"Where... where did you find that passage? Where was it written," she wondered, turning carefully through the ancient pages of the book laid out on her desk, before gingerly turning the book for Eris. It was in a different script, a different language entirely, but Yuina began to read part of the page in that foreign word.[break][break]
"Once it shone upon us all, with all the warmth of welcome sun. But now we weep, to grief we fall, starved of light now gone," she spoke slowly, carefully, she was still learning the root dialect of Celestica she had uncovered, older, more ancient than Hisuian. But her eyes cast up to Eris.[break][break]
"It's the same passage."
