So he’d come into possession of a particular Pokémon, however there was one problem:

Why did they keep on popping like a fuse just about ready to explode? What the fuck was up with their electrical output, why was it literally blasting off the charts?

He’d heard that there was a fellow associate who was looking for some assistance with getting some batteries charged. Since he wasn’t doing anything at the moment, he figured to join them to see just what was going on.

(And he took the mental note to bring along some Electric-types as well as a Ground-type in case things went south.)

Once he found the warehouse, he would slip inside quietly, silent as a ghost. He would announce his presence once he was close enough, noticing a familiar-looking set of ‘feet’ that then took up a substantial part of the warehouse proper.

“They’re too powerful if I’m not mistaken,” he would quietly say her way.

Looking over the information that the Rotom-tablet had transcribed, he would deem it satisfactory, before reaching for a piece of cloth and wiping down the knife blade.

Thankfully, today he’d packed along a knife (rather than his preferred blade) and had already unsheathed it at der signal.

“Let’s sweeten the deal. Rather than sending you home in a box, how about we send one of your fingers back in a box… as a warning?”

That same calm, serene smile was still on his face as the blade of the knife flashed within the League official’s line of vision as he moved in; ready to land the first hit as needed!

Bowing before the might of a legendary Pokémon… well, he’d normally heard of these tales happening in other regions, however Avatars were on another level entirely.

He could spare no words for his companion for the moment; he would need to research more on the legendary Pokémon that were fighting on Team Rocket’s side for more information.

“I trust you can get more information about… any other legendary Pokémon we may be going up against in the future,” he would address the other once he’d found the appropriate words to say.

(And also, approaching Beast ? Not after what him and went through? That… was going to be a tall order in and on itself!)

(If only he could bring out an entire salt shaker and throw the purifying contents at the legendary Pokémon snail that stood before them, he would.)

Brushing away intrusive thoughts that threatened to derail his trail of thought since he was technically on the vanguard defense side of things, he was… no.

No, he would not.

Seeing how… oh god, maybe was right to send Mr Wright away to the Unovan branch as punishment for that little stunt on the submarine!

“You’re not that much of a fighter, are you?” he would turn to address his companion; before returning his attention back to the situation at hand.

While his Doublade had somehow managed to endure the noxious fumes for now, there was no telling what that incoming Ruination attack would do when it came crashing down upon the battlefield; there was nothing else to it.

One singular whistle would cue the Doublade in to cross their blades upon themselves in a defensive gesture.

He couldn’t help but smirk a little at the threat hanging over his companion’s head if caught wind of a repeat of similar events happening.

(Was the destruction really that bad?)

Now that they were going up against—there was no other word for it—a snail that began exhaling poison, he was quick to pull out his Doublade; since Steel was one of the few types that could counter a Poison-type attack.

“I don’t know how prepared you are, but get ready to defend!” he continued; even if it pained him to say those words.

Much as he was itching to go on the offensive, this was a legendary Pokémon they were up against; so it would be best to play the waiting game for the moment and see what else the ‘snail’ was capable of doing.

Time for another training session—his usual ‘partner in crime’, , was elsewhere today so he would be partnering up with someone else for today’s video; hopefully they were competent enough to handle the situation on hand.

A quick double-check on his companion’s available information… oh, boy. He would be partnered up with the person who’d very nearly singlehandedly destroyed the Rocket submarine back then, eh?

The first part of the ‘interrogation’ would bear fruit, and the League official was definitely taken aback by the surprise tactic—perhaps they could use the surprise to their advantage; all things considered.

However, even though they had already been kidnapped, they were proving to be a little stubborn in this regard. He frowned a little, and so he figured—they already tried being nice for now.

“Allow me,” he would quietly offer der way, before approaching the League official and slamming both of his hands down on the table.

“Look at it this way. If you don’t talk, we can guarantee you’re making the trip home in a box. I’m sure you wouldn’t want that, right?”

There was this absolutely serene look with a matching slight smile on his face as he said these words, too.

Which, for all that was worth, was already frightening in and on itself—he never brought out that particular smile of his unless it absolutely warranted something bloody in exchange.

With the way that things had been set up, he was considering getting a Metagross for himself down the road. There was just one problem though—he may need to get not one, but two—because one of them would end up being used as ‘parts’ for that something he was looking to construct down the road.

He at least had something to work towards, right?

The darkness surrounds them—not in the warm embrace kind of way, but in the suffocating, chokehold way that could bring out the worst in a person if they weren’t prepared.

He felt the gentle presence of the Metagross alerting them to several other presences nearby; and he did not want to engage with them, either.

He would turn der way, and point towards the left; agreeing on the course that they needed to take.
