A bar, if no where else, the perfect place to do so.

He remains silent and lets that moment stretch. Matias's question hint at a greater reason for his presence. Despite knowing the man for over a decade he still finds it difficult to parse his motives.

"No, I'm not drowning." His voice lacks its usual edge. It aims only to disarm, if for but a moment, this thick tension; a battlefield parley before the war resumes in the morning.
