Cardamom smiled, accepting the handshake. "Thanks!" he said. "I'll let Shin know once he's feeling better, I'm sure it'll cheer him up after that loss." Although really, second place wasn't that bad, considering they'd been up against multiple opponents so much larger than him. "I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing the rest of my team in battle as well. Though not all of them are as vicious as this little guy." He was pretty sure Shin was the member of the team who was most into battling and would start a fight at the drop of a hat.

Shin let out a growl of triumph as his blow managed to actually injure his opponent, right before the bright gleaming blade came swinging down and knocked him out cold. As soon as the victory was called, Cardamom quickly hurried into the arena to scoop him up, gently checking the bear over for any serious injuries. "Silly little bear," he murmured fondly. "We could have surrendered, you know? But you'd never take that as an option." Despite the slight scolding tone to his voice, he seemed mostly amused by the whole situation.

Shin braced himself to dive to the side away from the blade, then paused when his opponent simply used it to destroy a rock. Was he being taunted? The little bear let out a growl at that, baring his claws. The earth had stopped churning a bit by now, and though the ground was still uneven he started hopping over the ground a little, his claws starting to glow as he tried to reach his opponent in time to deliver his signature Slash. He'd been given a chance not to go down like a chump, and he was taking it!

Well, that strike had hit, but it hadn't been the game-ender they were hoping for. Not to mention the unstable ground making it pretty hard for Shin to keep his balance at all. He tried to charge towards his opponent again, but even with the short distance between them the roiling earth made that nigh-impossible. Stumbling and growling, he refused to give up just yet, reaching down to grab another rock and Fling it once more.

Well, even if that shard had been hurting Groudon, apparently it didn't like it being removed nonetheless. And now they'd have to stop it from destroying everything? Not only that, but Half-Moon was down, though she'd managed to block the Solarbeams from hitting anyone else. Cardamom quickly withdrew the Obstagoon, before looking around at the newly manifested blades of earth. Taking a deep breath, she took out another Pokeball, sending out Biff. The Paras looked around at the destruction and chaos, before glancing over at Cardamom.[break][break]
"No, I'm not expecting you to fight Groudon. But I'm pretty sure we need to break those before something else bad happens. You can help with that, right?" asked Cardamom, pointing at one of the earthen blades. Scuttling a bit closer to one, while still mostly keeping his distance, he raised both his claws, and the mushrooms on his back started to plump up as his Giga Drain absorbed the energy, trying to weaken the structure and break it apart.[break][break]
"Banana Bread...can you help keep Groudon away? Don't-don't try to be a hero!" she added. "Get away if it's about to start using Fire attacks!" The Tropius nodded, flapping his wings and flying to get between Groudon and the orb-holder as well, flapping his wings and summoning a Whirlwind to push the titan as far back as he could. Bam, meanwhile, was already darting towards another blade as well, her paw extended in preparation to use Force Palm and shake it to bits.[break][break]
tl; dr: Half-Moon gets withdrawn and switched out for Biff the Paras, who uses Giga Drain against one of the Precipice Blades. Bam uses Force Palm against another blade, while Banana Bread tries to use Whirlwind to push Groudon back.[break][break]

While grass against water seemed like a clear advantage on her side, two of those had secondary types that would negate that. Not to mention the fact that Cloyster had an advantage against her whole team-a double advantage against Banana Bread, in fact. Still, she definitely planned to take advantage of getting the first move. Rotating Coconut into position, she called out "Leech Seed!" A good opener, one that worked equally well against almost any kind of opponent.[break][break]

The tournament had really spared no expense in their setup, thought Cardamom. They had an arena set up specifically for these newfangled "rotation battles," with large rotating platforms set up with spaces for her Pokemon to stand on. She had a remote that could be used to rotate another Pokemon in faster than normal switching could, and apparently it was rated for the heaviest possible Pokemon. From the fact that it wasn't even creaking where Banana Bread stood, it seemed like that was true. Now all that was left was to see who their opponent would be.[break][break]

Even as he extolled the virtues of this particular treat, Biff was finding himself falling behind. Plus, his claws were getting a little sore from all the attacks he was doing. Indeed, it looked very much like Link was going to take the lead on this middle leg, despite Nibs waiting anxiously as the Paras did his best to scuttle over the various hurdles in the way.

Even as the combined two attacks struck him, his eyes were glowing with an intent white glow, staring intently at the Dragalge to soften it up for...[break][break]
"Ping, you good? Meteor Mash!" called Cardamom. Having rebooted their gyroscopic sensors, Ping now charged forwards to strike the Dragalge with another steel fist. Hopefully that Leer would have helped to make the blow hit harder than it would otherwise.

[attr="class","woo3"]This close up, there was no way for Ping to intercept the poisonous attack, especially when they were being pummeled by Shadow Balls from the Mismagius. Nash let out a grumble of pain as the poison started to seep into his skin, but clung on determinedly, refusing to let go. He bit down harder, doubling down on the Bite attack in hopes that his opponent would go down before the poison started really hitting him. Luke let out a cheer of encouragement towards the Absol as he did so, tenacity causing him to cling on despite all the hits he'd taken.[break][break]
