Cardamom is the youngest child of the Bliss family, who own a small family bakery in Verdanturf. They're cheerful and friendly to almost everyone they meet, and very enthusiastic about being a trainer.[break]

Cardamom had been battling a lot during this tournament, but apparently there were options for less traditional challenges as well. Which was why Nibs and Biff had been called out for this battle, along with Shin as their third. Cardamom grinned down at his team as he explained the rules.[break][break]
"So this is going to be a relay race," he said, pointing out the racetrack that had been sketched out for them. "You're going to be first, Shin, then Biff, and finally Nibs for the final burst of speed. No attacking your opponent, and you have to pass the baton directly to your followup." He gave Shin a serious look at that, and the Teddiursa simply blinked innocently. As his Pokemon moved to take their places, Cardamom stood and looked into the distance, waiting for their opponent to arrive.

"Woooooo!" laughed Luke, dancing up to the bartender. "Another!" he laughed, slamming his empty glass on the counter. Cardamom, watching as his brother quickly went overboard, quietly considered the merits of revising that text to their parents to tell them not to pick up Luke.[break][break]
It didn't come as a surprise when the bartender shook his head to Luke's request, making the young man whine and sprawl on top of the counter. Cardamom sighed, wondering whether he should go intervene or not. But at least it seemed the bartender was going to keep Luke from messing himself up even more, so Cardamom supposed he should be grateful for that.[break][break]

[attr="class","woo3"]Nash was hit hard, almost point-blank, by the stream of water, immediately letting go as it blasted into him and sent him skidding across the arena. Growling, he got back up, licking at his shoulder slightly to dislodge the dust that had gathered on his coat. He glanced back at Luke, who gestured at the Dragalge. "Alright, I think that's our bigger problem right now!" he pointed out. "Future Sight!" The Absol nodded, staring at the part Poison-type with his eyes glowing a faint pink. For now, he was keeping his distance mostly.[break][break]
From the sounds Ping was making after they'd bounced off the Dragalge, that attack had done quite a lot of damage while simultaneously giving them quite a bit of recoil. They hovered, looking confused, and before they could snap out of it were hit by a Shadow Ball and sent careening, arms waving wildly in the air. "Are you okay?" called Cardamom. Eventually, Ping stopped spinning, raising a hand to give a thumbs-up. "Alright, Meteor Mash!" she called. This time, Ping waited for the full command before charging, only one spike-tipped arm outstretched this time to slam into the Dragalge.

While Cardamom tried to make sure Chu-e was okay, Luke had apparently been dragged into a speed-shot competition, trying to down as many shots as he could within a minute. Within half that time, he'd already started choking, making Cardamom sigh. He pulled out his phone and started quickly composing a text to their parents. They would absolutely need to be picked up from the bar at this rate. Either that, or he'd need to get Half-Moon to carry Luke out bridal style.[break][break]
He walked back to the table to grab his plate of chips. Might as well get all of these finished before Luke completely crashed.

Cardamom smiled a little when she saw the little girl standing next to Melody, waving back with a grin. "Hey!" she called. "I'm Cardamom, and this is my big brother Luke! We're battling to get Melody's badge!" Still, they couldn't spend all their time on introductions, so once they were told they had the first move, the two Bliss siblings nodded at each other before tossing out their Pokeballs simultaneously. In dual flashes of light, Nash the Absol and Ping the Metang appeared on the field. Nash pawed at the ground, growling in preparation for the fight, while Ping simply floated in the air, gazing around in wonder.[break][break]
"Alright Nash," called Luke. "You take the Ghost-type, alright?" The Absol nodded, growling slightly before rushing forwards to Bite down on the tattered-looking dress.[break][break]
"Ping, you're on dragon duty for now!" called Cardamom. "Start with a-" Before she could detail further orders, the Metang was already rushing forwards to strike the Dragalge as hard as they could with a Take Down attack.

Most of the time, Cardamom didn't particularly care much for sports. However, it appeared as if these Inteleon had taken over most of the court, allowing few other people to participate in the game. He frowned a little. That didn't quite seem fair. Leaning down to the Absol by his side, he pointed at the lizards grabbing and dunking basketballs without a care in the world. "Hey, I bet you can beat them at their own game," he murmured. The Absol nodded, and took off in a flash, ready to destroy his opposition in the blink of an eye with his speedy Quick Attacks and Pursuits.[break][break]

Cardamom took a few deep breaths as she leaned back on the inflatable platform she'd been provided with. She was wearing her usual orange-and-yellow swimsuit, though she'd added a pink ribbon around her waist to match with the Gorebyss swimming around below her. This was supposed to be a fully underwater match, and she'd signed up for it with the one swimming Pokemon she had. After a bit, the Gorebyss poked her head out of the water, letting out a soft "Gor?" Cardamom shrugged.[break][break]
"I'm not sure why our opponent seems to be late," she admitted. "But no, we can't just claim a victory by getting them disqualified." The serpentine Pokemon nodded, diving back down into the water to continue circling, checking out the underwater environment and seeing how she could use it to her advantage.

Extremely skilled in the water, Plasha was only captured after a long drawn-out battle with Biff, who was furious that she'd attacked the relatively unskilled and delicate Nibs. Surprisingly, she and Ping get along quite well, and she often uses the Metang as a platform to ride on.

Luke was still trying to get more drinks down and catch up to the people who'd been here for a while, so he didn't really notice Chu-e's state, other than to offer the other man a friendly wave. Cardamom, as the now more sober sibling, was paying more attention to the general situation, and stood up to go over and see if the man was alright.[break][break]
"Hey, you okay?" the boy asked, reaching out in case the man fell over. "How long have some of you been drinking?" In the background, Luke was being dared to drink upside-down, and actually attempting it. Cardamom checked his pocket to make sure he had his phone in case he ended up having to call their parents to deal with this.[break][break]

He looked longingly in the door before turning away. Cardamom grabbed his brother by the arm. "The sign says kids under sixteen can go in there with an adult's supervision," he pointed out. "And you count for that, right?"[break][break]
"Oh, you're right!" exclaimed Luke, looking quite happy at the revelation. "Alright, come on, lil' bro, let's check it out!" With a grin, he practically slammed the door open. "Hey everyone! We doing drinking games?" he asked, an excited look on his face. Cardamom, meanwhile, moved to find a side table and order a few snacks for himself to chew on as his brother immediately dove into the drinking contest.[break][break]

Nash was focused enough on the Riolu that he didn't have time to notice the Araquanid lunging at him until it was nearly on top of him, pinning him down with its multiple legs. The double super-effective strikes from both the Bug- and Fighting-types meant he was faltering by now, struggling to get free.[break][break]
And then he got hit by a Flamethrower. Cardamom raised a hand to block her eyes as the fire burned around them, before lowering it to see Nash still singed and barely conscious. The Absol was still growling and trying to get away from the Araquanid, apparently having tried to take advantage of the fire to weaken its grasp. "Nash, it's okay!" she called. "Leave them something to remember you with!" The Absol nodded, before turning to face the Ninetales. His eyes flashed pink once again with another Future Sight, preparing to leave at least one other member of the fight with something to remember him by.

Well, it seemed like the Araquanid and the Ninetales were going to focus on each other for now. However, that meant Nash had to deal with the Riolu, and it was already charging at him fairly fast. "Quick Attack!" called Cardamom. Nash, hearing the command, immediately spun around on his heels, before charging as fast as he could towards the Riolu, aiming to slam into him with his own bulk. The Force Palm would very likely connect as well, but at least he'd be able to deal some damage to his opponent before also taking some.
