A RARE SIGHT. A swarm of Inteleon have invaded a nearby basketball court. Their tall heights make it easy for them to steal community balls in order to dunk them in the hoops. Their pre-evolutions watch on the sides, occasionally spewing water on each other to keep themselves cool. Perhaps, should you impress them in the sport— or hurl a poke(basket)ball of your own, you will be able to capture one of these tall, tall lizards.[break][break]

only one character of yours may participate.
in order to qualify for the capture, you must ROLL using the ROLL COMMAND. after, INCLUDE A REFERENCE TO POKEMON UNITE, THE MOBA GAME somewhere in your post. you may use an image, gif, use an analogy, figurative language, etc.
the highest roll will earn a shiny inteleon; the second highest roll will earn a regular inteleon, and the lowest roll will net a shiny sobble. the gender of the pokemon can be decided by the recipient.
the attempted capture will not consume a pokéball.
the inteleon/sobble have movesets that will be revealed at the end of the event.
this is a time-limited event and will end august 1st, 12am pst.

as the inteleons went on with their basketball game a bolt of yellow suddenly made its way onto the court and stole the ball from one of them and quickly shot it to the other side of the court, pausing to take the shot and revealing that it was a zeraora. as it made its shot and the ball fell into the hoop it shot forward like a lightning bolt that severs the wind in order to knock away one of the other inteleon's that went to pick up the ball to steal it for itself. "hey simba! c'mon the least you could do is play the game by the rules! we're already intruding!" kazimir called out from the side of the court as he threw a pokeball into the game to try and steal one of the players for his own team. just because he was being a hypocrite in real time didn't mean he could at least instill his own pokemon with good sportsmanship qualities y'know?

“I need one of those.” Rowan commented underneath his breath, watching as the swarm of Sobble and Inteleon strode across Slateport Park. “I’m gonna get one of those.” He’d found out about the swarm through someone's online stream, perhaps could have been considered Stream Sniping.

Despite the fact that they all seemed to Unite under a single banner, Rowan tossed a Pokeball into the mix, hoping to capture one.

He hardly spent much time with his Lucario, Jūken being his longer trained and more familiar pokémon the Riolu was used 10 times for every time the Lucario was used once.

Still despite his own faltered training of the pokémon Lucario was quite the good sport and tonight sought to prove it.

Catching the aura of a gathering of Inteleon, Lucario joined the game seeking to impress her trainer and test her physicality.

At first the lizards were hesitant to let her join and a quick 1v1 allowed the unnamed Lucario to show her skills.

Before long she was a key player in a 3v3 pick up game.

Sénon watched carefully, enjoying her performance and their bonding time. Still, he kept an eye out for the Shiny one in the bunch. There always seemed to be at least one in these mass gatherings.

So anyway... this post and the idea of a dunking lucario was brought to you by POKEMON UNITE.

Izzy had found herself a rather interesting sight, wild Inteleon playing something like basket ball? That’d certainly be worth looking into. Though, it quite reminded her also of the new hit game, Pokémon Unite, out now on the Nintendo Home Console, the Nintendo Switch, and soon coming out on mobile! While she wasn’t much of a gamer, she’d found the game way better than Raid: Shadow Pokémon, the so-called ambitious RPG project of 20XX, even with the level of details in its characters, even with the free code for a 50,000 silver start.[break][break]

Izzy had found the new game to be a delight, and finding it interesting and amusing enough to see a swarm of Inteleon almost emulating it, she’d thrown a poké ball to try for one!

Competition seems fierce, the Inteleons are running up and down the court to attack and prevent their opponents from scoring. For a second, the sight reminds her of a bunch of nerds that gather on an online platform to play games and fight over who's hovering Talonflame... Oh well, maybe she'll see them actually working together when she watches the stream later.

Inteleons eh? Melody had wanted to check out the swarm of inteleons who seemed to be taking over a local basketball court. She wondered if they'd confuse iggly buff for a strange looking basketball. She cuddled it a little tighter to make sure that it didn't taken away from her.[break][break]

She looked over to some kids nearby who didn't even seem bothered by the fact that the basketball courts were unavailable. They were seemingly preoccupied with a new game called pokemon unite and were interested in melody's igglybuff since wigglytuff was involved with the game somehow. She handed her igglybuff off to the kids and told them to take good care of it while the gym leader solved the nonexistent dilema she saw in her head. "Hey these kids wanna play! Is there anywhere else we can take you guys?!" she shouted to them, immediately one of the inteleons sprayed her with water and she pouted. of course it was never that easy, so instead Melody took out one of her pokeballs and battle the inteleon and tried to capture it for a safe relocation. aaron can't help but feel bad for the basketball team getting literally dunked on by a bunch of lizards. the game looks like a completely one-sided stomping — like spawn camping a squad of eight year olds in the final minute of pokemon unite when you know you're leading by nine hundred points. as more trainers arrive to break up the swarm, he fishes around for an empty pokeball and heads for the court. first, he catches an inteleon. then, he drafts them for the pokénba.

jayden's not the sporty type, or is he the type to find himself doused in hours and hours of a pokemon moba game on his rotom phone. but ever since Victor Wexler showed it to him — really just texted it to him - jayden found himself drawn in. he's sitting on a bench near the basketball game, not paying attention to the events of the human team getting dunked on by the swarm of intelon.

it doesn't quite help that jayden's own ghost types are causing their own ruckus in the middle of the game, flitting in and out of focus and sending an occasional shadow sneak or confuse ray to alarm the human players, and make them give up the ball to their pokemon competition.

She did a double-take at first before shaking her head. She had to remember, this was Hoenn and weird shit happened here all the time. [break][break]

Glancing down at Serenity and Caspurr she shrugged. "Wanna go have some fun?" she asked with with a playful smirk on her lips. They cheered in unison as they dashed off to go play with them. Most of the time, Cardamom didn't particularly care much for sports. However, it appeared as if these Inteleon had taken over most of the court, allowing few other people to participate in the game. He frowned a little. That didn't quite seem fair. Leaning down to the Absol by his side, he pointed at the lizards grabbing and dunking basketballs without a care in the world. "Hey, I bet you can beat them at their own game," he murmured. The Absol nodded, and took off in a flash, ready to destroy his opposition in the blink of an eye with his speedy Quick Attacks and Pursuits.[break][break]

Inteleon playing basket ball? Talk about a site to behind. Xander sat off in the distance, sketching them as they b-balled. At the back of his mind, images of a MOBA game he'd played the other day popped into his mind.

Watching the Inteleon play really scratched his brain, as Pilo might say. It gave him an idea... an idea for a hot new MOBA with pokemon... except... no... it was too genius....

The world wasn't ready.

watching these pokémon play basketball had sam trying to figure out what it reminded him of.

whatever it was, was relatively new. maybe, mobile? no, but something that sounded akin.

i'm just kidding guys.

sam's a pokémon unite nerd okay?

the only reason he came out to the basketball court was because he heard there was a head honcho with cool colors and he thought it'd be cool to see. not even snag, but the temptation to throw a capsule is there.

whether or not he does attempt to capture one will be decided by the roll.

after all, he's getting pinged on his social media by his pokémon unite server while watching the basketball game. apparently he and his gengar are needed.
