Last month, during the Slateport Splashfest, the League had purchased most (if not all) Clamperl and pearls found by divers. At the time, having sold a few of them, Mars had wondered what use the League could have for such things, and eventually, he just so happened to learn that thanks to the efforts of some oh-so-kind rangers, a few of them had been sent right here: to this pokémon shelter in Slateport City.

Rescued Spoink sweetly slumber on this September night, bouncing lightly even in their slumber. Atop of their heads resting the beautiful pearls, given to them as replacement for ones that had likely once been stolen. Bingo.

From within a Zorua’s ILLUSION, wearing a face that isn’t his, Tuesday smiles faintly. When he had said ‘gorgeous’, he had clearly meant the pearls, not the pokémon.

A SONG sung by a small Smoochum had pulled the Spoink into deep slumber, and now, standing next to the hidden Zorua, a Delibird awaits for the next pearl Tuesday pulls from one the Spoink in the little pen. The PSYCHIC type stirs in its slumber, but it doesn’t wake.

”Just pass them to the Delibird as you grab them, she’ll keep them safe.” He tells Sienna Bell then, smirking.

Sienna seems like a super cool character and I would love to plot with her sometime ♡

I'm Azul and Mars here is my main character! He's one of Team Rocket's underbosses and also the owner and CEO of a bank (his connection to Team Rocket isn't publicly known outside of the syndicate, ofc LOL). I think that with her specialty being counterfeit, there's a lot of room for plots wit the two of them, especially since Mars happens to run a smuggling ring and has a lot of use for things like those. There’s nothing that links Marcus Day and Martín del Mar, and the mere fact that someone wouldn’t take this to be his real identity is something that earns them a certain amount of respect in the eyes of the underboss.

Where the Sharpedo fin in her soup is almost unrecognisable, the Pincurchin ordered by him looks as if it had just been pulled out of the sea. Except that, of course, it has been cut open, leaving its bright orange insides exposed for him to feast on. He doesn’t seem to mind this at all. He doesn’t seem to mind the fact that he’s eating a pokémon right in front of his own Vaporeon. And the “Vaporeon” itself? It just stays seated, eyeing the dish as if wishing to give it a try too.

The meeting goes on without an issue, centering mostly around the specifications of their agreement. Through it all, Marcus Day is nothing short of agreeable, respectful, and even polite. To the point that if it weren’t for the fact that much of their discussion has to do with the topics of illegal trade and avoiding League surveillance, it would be terribly easy to forget that he is indeed a criminal.

Maybe it’s the fact that the world might end, maybe it’s the influence of the Unown, but this week, Mars feels like switching things up a little.

Instead of jogging near Mauville Hills or going all the way to Mt Pyre, he makes his way to Route 116 – right outside Rustboro City.

By his side, an Unown-X floats idly, but when Mars begins to run, it wanders down to the ground, as if attempting to mimic him with its short limbs. It also starts to run. Surprisingly fast, even.
