How quick she is to swoon over the sight of the Boltund, her fingers gently scratching behind the ears as she coos at him. He's adorable and oh, does she let him know it with the way she asks 'who's the gwood bwoi?', only to receive an indignant yip from her own Eevee.

"I wouldn't have minded if he was my date~" She laughs, ocean eyes sweeping their gaze over the arriving blonde as she takes his hand. "Zahra, and Cielo." She gestures to the little Eevee in her arms before placing him to the ground, snorting when she sees him gently butting heads with the Boltund. "I'm a ranger in Lilycove, but I run plenty of odd jobs in my time off."

To his comment of awkwardness, Zahra smiles, pouring them cups of tea before sliding one over.

"Don't worry, I'm sure quite a lot of us feel the same." A pretty lie that borders on the line of being true. The addition of a sugar cube into her own cup sees it float, soaking and quietly crumbling away. "I rarely see detectives nowadays... Do you take on a lot of cases? He really should keep his thoughts to himself, she's ever so tempted to tell him that. But for now, she'll just move on and hope he never brings this up ever again. Heaven knows the last thing she needs on her records is a case of murder.

"Not the biggest fan of it, but that's probably because of the alcohol people like to sneak in... But none of that. You can't just bring me out to a winter festival and not go ice skating! Scuffing her heel against the ground, Zahra lets her glance slip over the festive grounds and the array of vivid colours. Though it's nowhere as grand as the parties that her family used to hold, there's a quaint sense of comfort that radiants from the cheer that floods the streets and works its way into everyone's heart.

Is this how it feels to peer pressure someone into helping? Sure, the playful Meowth is stopped and he could very well be on his way but perhaps, her presence makes it hard for him to turn a blind eye to this poor Delibird. Just as well! She sure as hell wasn't going to handle it on her own!

Being indirect may sometimes backfire on her, but she's grown to learn that most people like the idea of being owed a favour that they may claim at a later date. A smile tugs at the ends of her lips as she resists the urge to laugh, her fingers reaching to pluck a stray maize tassel from Luka's hair. Heaven knows she likes listening to others try her mother tongue, adoring every little slip-up they make as they try their best to untangle the words.

Before she can even roll her eyes and place her phone back onto her desk, she catches a small glimpse of the message sent by 'Certified Dumbass :^)'. A text telling her to wake up seems all too common, but one tagged with the promise of it being non-work related? Even if she's one to turn down invitations for activities in the morning, she'd be lying if she said her interest wasn't piqued in the slightest.

For once, her replies aren't decorated with any sense of sarcasm - Or well, she tries her best not to be snarky in any way. Her morning routine is by no means completed within a minute, but she tries her best to speed things up. From combing her hair to picking a nice and warm outfit to wear, she puts in just a little more effort than she usually does getting ready for work (but it's still not a lot, to be honest). By the end of it, she's exiting her house and locking the door with a quiet 'brr' escaping her lips.

"Never thought I'd wake up to the sight of you, котёнок~" Though she taps the toes of her boots against the ground, her keys still remain in her hands instead of being tucked into her pockets. "This being non-work related wasn't a lie, right?"
