He’d skipped his run to stay home and make breakfast. Chuchi thought he was being kinder than anyone else would in this situation, but Andres was pretty sure if he had the skills, he too would’ve broken into someone’s home thinking it was his own while black out drunk. When the redhead rolled out of the bathroom he set a plate of toast, hash browns, and biscuits for him. All dry carbs, hopefully it wouldn’t make him throw up again. “Heh, you could’ve just kept the ranger bit to yourself, and I wouldn’t have known.” He said with a grin as he tossed Chuchi the crusts of his toast and a piece of bacon. She jumped up to catch it in her mouth before scurrying off. [break][break]

“Don’t mention it, chiquillo.” He said waving off his gratitude. Better him than someone else who might’ve dealt with the situation in worse ways, like tossing the guy out on the street. He made sure the stove was off, before reaching over for his phone and handing it over to the ranger. “Call home, and you can chill here while you wait for your ride.” He said, while he grabbed a sticky note and began to carefully write down his home address. “This is our current location.” He added as he leaned on the counter to continue eating.

Andres tried not to ask more. What kind of nightmares and demons did a popstar have? Especially someone as excitable as Melody. He thought about the weird silhouettes and the strange hospital horror nightmare he’d caught a glimpse of. “Ok, chiquilla, as long as you’re up and moving I guess it doesn’t matter that much.” he said as she pushed forward, determined to leave something behind. He tried not to prod. This wasn’t the time, and she was clearly not in the mood, but it still bugged him. Then again, they dind’t have to delve into it if they didn’t need to. [break][break]

She’s moving quickly but their world ends with a boundary. “We can walk the wall and follow it for an exit.” He suggested before noting the shadows that began to dance at their feat seemingly trying to form strange shadow creatures again. “Try calling for Cobalion maybe he can help?” he said before pawing at himself. There’s a slight panic as he thought for a moment he didn’t have his pokemon before he found the right ball. “Yes! Chuchi!” he said tossing the pokeball at the Unown wall and watching a fat Eevee pop out. Her ears and tail twitch madly ad as she looked around, she already detected the danger. The pokemon stared up at Melody recognizing her from brief meetings during Andres’ training sessions. “Chuchi, get us through them.” He said. The blonde then turned to Melody, “If you had any pokemon on you at the party, I suggest you get them out. We’re busting outta here.” He said as Chuchi went ballistic, jaws and fangs chomping on anything she could trying to scare a path through.

If he was surprised or confused at the introduction, Andres didn’t show it only smiling wider at the stranger. “That’s as pretty a name as you are, Artemis~” he can’t help but say. The name rang around in his head and itched his brain. There was something there, but he wasn’t super focused on figuring it out yet. It didn’t feel bad though. Especially not with how quickly the trainer blushed for him. He nodded slowly, before leaning forward brushing his lips with Artemis’. He waited for some sort of flinch to be safe but pushed forward closing the gap anyway. He raised a hand, cupping Artemis’ cheek as he kissed him slowly, almost chastely before pulling away. “It’s a date.” He repeated before standing up and offering a hand to the man. “Wanna see what you’ll win, guero? Or wanna just get on with our day?” he asked. Andres had promised to give him all his good luck after all. He wouldn’t mind seeing if it had any effect.

The Eevee let out a small whine at luka chêne . It didn’t matter what he wanted or not, he owed her this, but she eventually let her be as the snowball fight raged on. Helpful or not, she wasn’t about to stay here in the middle of the war zone. She dind’t exactly have opposable thumbs so she couldn’t really participate. However, she’s not opposed to playing with the pinkette’s pokemon and moved to join them for a bit. Andres would be fine on his own. Probably. [break][break]

For his part, the blonde was doing well. He had something done though he felt like it wasn’t as big of a base as he wanted. All the while, his thoughts drifted back to his phone. He decided to take a break, facing the incomplete snowman and flashing a picture before carefully moving to his contacts to send his friend something for the day. Anything. At this point just pushing our a simple ‘hello’ would’ve been enough for him. He typed slowly, quietly and stared at his screen while ignoring the snowballs going by. And then after a moment, deleted the whole thing before pocketing his phone and going back to making the snowboy. It was a good distraction at least. Maybe later, he’d go home and watch Home Alone for a quick laugh. He needed to shake off the heavy mood he was in. Especially when he had a date lined up in a couple of days. [break][break]

So, he tried to stop thinking and worked. As snow wizzes by, a little too close for comfort he wondered where Chuchi had gone. In his search, he doesn’t find his partner and instead pink locks and green eyes. He felt a jolt run up his spine from the surprise and immediately looked away, yanking the hood of his jacket up. “Chuchi!” he scream whispered. “Chuchi we’re going!” he hissed trying to find the little shit.

He hadn’t meant to come here. Not really. Chuchi has demanded sacrifice after being confined to the apartment for so long. And Mt. Pyre or the Safari Zone near their home wouldn’t do. She’d wanted to go elsewhere despite the fact that a trip out here would’ve taken all day but…well he preferred Chuchi to be content than to give her a reason to be angry at him. [break][break]

And yet again, on their way to find something wild to fight, Chuchi had veered right into the Snowboy Showdown, egging him of and barking lightly for his attention. She’d changed her mind again. “Chuchi, I thought we were going to tra-” A quick yip from the fat Eevee silenced him and she bounded off, picking a spot far enough that she wouldn’t get tangled up in the chaos. He appreciated that at least, not wanting to have to deal with an overcompetitive little monster today. He couldn’t shake this weird feeling of lethargy. Maybe because it was a holiday season away form home or maybe it was the failed text he hadn’t had the courage to send to luka chêne this morning. [break][break]

Oh well. He shrugged to himself as he began imitating Kazimir Wynter who was attempting to build a snowboy himself. Andres took a minute to watch before imitating him and ignoring Chuchi as she dug up snow for him to use. She was trying to help, in her own way. Occasionally she’d nudge or nip at her trainer, and usually that would annoy him or make him laugh., Today? No reaction. She had to wonder if he was bummed about her or bummed about his inability to talk to her. She let him be, looking around for snacks she could beg for or steal if that didn’t work. Tufts of pink flutter in the breeze, and before Andres can see what she does and run, Chuchi is off. The fat pokemon bounded away, eager to nuzzle and drag the poor woman if only to force her trainer out of his fucking mood. [break][break]

Chuchi is fully in the way, moving into the wild pokemon’s eyesight as soon as it looked back at her own and the other kid. She even barked a couple of times, the sound sharp and high pitched, almost cute were it not for the snarling dark type in front of them. “Good. Don’t worry about Chuchi she’ll knock it out.” He said as the Houndoom blasted a burst of fire straight at the Eevee. She squealed from the pain but didn’t budge, growling back at the large dog before looking back at Andres. [break][break]

She was fucking pissed. Energy coalesced on a pendant loosely hidden under his shirt. “OH! There it is!” he said without explanation as the normal type began glowing before letting out a war cry of her own. [break][break]

The light flashed away revealing a larger, even heavier, and even fluffier looking Eevee in its place. Chuchi didn’t wait for instruction barreling towards the Houndom and slamming it with her body, sending it skidding and rolling a few feet in the dirt. She barked, the sound suddenly a bit deeper. “See, she’s fine.” Andres said as she chased after the Houdoom, taking another blast of fire to face before booty bumping the dual type into a tree. It smacked the bark hard and when it got up it knew better than to keep this going. It ran off as Chuchi chased it a few feet before howling victoriously. “See? She’s a champion pokemon. Or well, almost, we never made it to the finals.” He said with a little laugh as she turned and padded back to them smugly. “I’m Andres by the way. Shouldn’t you be at home and not in the woods, mijo?”

There’s no slap or instant revulsion when he did this. Just a smiley stranger, looking a little awkward and a little giddy. It’s even cuter than when they were sulking. “Andres. Andres Buenaventura.” He said still keeping close, not breaking contact. Perhaps a bit of pink dusted his cheeks, but the blonde had long since gotten over most of his embarrassment for pda in public. [break][break]

To anyone else they probably looked really annoying, but Andres grinned anyway more than happy to chase after someone who hadn’t outright rejected him….yet. He’d keep his hopes up though. “I’ll bring you good luck, guaranteed.” He asserted once more before leaning in a bit closer, moving past Artemis’ lips and leaning over to whisper gently into his ear. “I’m also available if you need to stay warm tonight~” You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. He pulled back, his expression a little sharper, more serious before he relaxed. “What do you say? I don’t mind taking a beauty like you around town. There’s even an art museum nearby.” The blonde continued, practically asking Artemis out on a date.

Something like that makes him somewhat right. “Un besito.” Andres repeated, not at all deterred by Artemis’ confusion. In fact, he took the opportunity to sit down next to him, stretching out his legs in front of him and getting comfortable despite how cold his ass was on the bench. “A little kiss… riiight here.” He said pointing at his cheek. “However, I’ve been told if you kiss me riiiight here,” he said pointing at his mouth. Hadn’t he meant to run errands? Yeah, that was a thing he could do on the weekend at some point. Now? Now he kinda just wanted to stay here, even if it went nowhere. His movements are practiced, carefully made after years and years of trying to get this right and not bitch out at the last minute. After all, it’s a rather forward move, and baby Andres had once been a very sensitive boy. He still was, deep down somewhere. When he stopped to think with his head and not his crotch. It’s not often that Andres had a day to do nothing at all. Unscheduled, and still slightly energetic. On days like this he tended to stay home and stay cozy by the fire. The only problem? No warm body to share heat with him. This presented a problem and Andres was more than willing to out and find his temporary solution. After a small errand or two, he’d thought anyway. It’s not often you see some looking so miserable right in front of the Lillycove Department Store. [break][break]

He's not one to leave well enough alone and approached the trainer. “Hey handsome, you didn’t get the prize you wanted form the department lotto?” he asked before crouching just enough in front of Artemis so he could catch his eyes. Once he had those in sight, he grinned at him. “I’m usually lucky, I can pull for you if you want…but it’ll cost ya~” he said before tilting his head to the side and tapping his cheek. “Un bechito, and I’ll give you all my good luck for the week~” To further sell it, he added. “I probably have a little wipe here in my jacket so you can be 100% guaranteed I’m clean. Que dices? ”

Before Andres can relax, Chuchi is already darting through the bushes to find…nothing. But a scent of something different. She moved forward, yipping to let Andres know he should follow. “Chuchi wait!” he called out not wanting to stray off the path this late at night. Though, after a few minutes of pushing through the thicket he’s happy he has. They ran up on a Houndoom barking and snarling up an apricorn tree/ Andres had to squint to see what it was yelling at.[break][break]

He didn’t catch a face, but he saw a sneaker and that was enough for him. “Chuchi-” she’s already moving to action, running in with an immediate Dobule Edge and slamming the oversized Houndoom to the side with smug ease. That’s not the move, and the Houndom is scrambling to its feet, snarling at them. “You ok, kid?!” he asked as Chuchi stood defensively between her trainer and the wile pokemon. He seemed eager to tear Chuchi to shreds as their eyes stayed on Chuchi. “Cover me, Chuchi. I’ll get the kid!” he ordered running towards the tree. The Houndom looked over for a moment, considering shooting fire at Andres only for the Eeevee to slam into it once more and confuse it for a split second. [break][break]

Andres meanwhile moved to the base of the tree. “’Ey chiquillo! You good? Let’s hustle!” he said motioning for Finn to come down.
